I've got the 2023 KRT 400 and love it! Here's a few things to keep in the back of your mind if anyone is thinking about getting one:
It may be a parallel twin but it loves to rev and it doesn't really make good power unless you're wringing it out. When I first got this thing it really seemed as though it was anemic passing at highway speeds. After getting it broke in I figured it out and now when I go to pass at highway speeds I drop several gears until she's screaming around 10k and it'll go. Hitting triple digit speeds is not a problem but the wind will push you around a bit.
Stock windscreen is a meme. You might as well be riding a naked bike. I just put a Puig on mine and it's 100% better.
If you buy one as a beginner it's fine but if you're going to wring it out and ride it hard, invest the $30 and replace the stock clutch springs. They're garbage and will absolutely slip during high rev shifts, even with everything on the bike stock. If you keep letting it slip, instead of $30 clutch springs, you'll burn the clutch and have to replace the whole clutch pack.
Everyone will tell you they're great in the twisties and they're right. However the stock Dunglops do leave a bit to be desired. They last well but they will also walk on you a little when you're cornering hard.

Love the video as usual! But have to ask: What and how do you use to get that overlay? I have an Insta360 ONE RS that I've used for a few car videos, but have yet to use it with my GSX-8S. Would love to have that same information shown from my riding footage!

@cwd123 what you do is 1. pair up your remote to you camera. 2.Make sure your remote is in plain view of the sky when your filming. 3. Go film and the remote should be embedding this gps info into the footage. 4. When you get back from filming Go to the Insta 360 app or preferably use a laptop or home computer- plug your camera in to upload your footage to laptop, when it shows it's uploaded- click on a video file to the left and when it shows up to where you can edit the footage- LOOK TO THE RIGHT AND I THINK ITS LIKE THE 3RD CHOICE YOU SEE A SPEEDOMETER SYMBOL AND THATS WHERE ALL THAT WILL BE! LET ME KNOW HOW IT WORKS FOR YOU. Reach back out to me if you have any Questions 👍
