Honestly, I think that this scene gives Junpei even more motivation to fight Nyx. He wants to win so he can both, live for Chidori and also see her again. He already had motivation. This is just a cherry on top.
What makes it better is according to the Arena games this is canon and Junpei and is working out how to propose to her. To those who hate the fact that this was kept in as it supposedly ruins the games themes, you clearly did not understand them to begin with. If it was just about accepting death Ryoji would've been killed and Makoto would have very different Personas. (Orpheus almost saved his wife from death, Messiah was outright successful) Its a game about how precious life is and not to let the fear of death rule over you, hence memento mori.
To be fair, saving Chidori in P3 FES/Portable was entirely optional too. You had to convince Junpei to visit her on 4 specific days, November 22nd included. Now this right here is arguably more hidden since you gotta start and stick to Junpei's Link Episodes or else is back to og P3's Chidori's permadeath schedule. Oh, did I forget to mention that if you don't complete the Link Episodes, you get locked out of fusing certain ultimate Personas? Let's say you wanna fuse Koryu but skipped Koromaru's? Well TOO BAD because Byakko is only available after finishing Koromaru's link episode. Basically, the Personas you got from maxing out the male party members social links in Portable's female route.
I'm glad they kept this in. I kinda got it by accident in my first playthrough of FES, but didn't in Reload. Likely because I missed a link episode somewhere.
I’m new to P3 as a whole and never did a single Junpei link, although I did all the other boys(Yes kuro is definitely one of the boys) but still got this scene. Maybe it’s cuz I talk to him in dorm every evening and saw that I needed to buy him something. Or maybe I did his link and forgot lol
I probably would have missed this if I hadn't been using a guide. However, I was still aiming for it. I assumed I just needed to keep encouraging him, like you do in FES and P3P
So I never unlocked it but on the nyx fight I got lucky enough to finish him off with Junpeis second theuragy. Seeing him beat nyx with that was the most satisfying end to the fight I could ask for.
I didn't even know it was a secret. I thought it was part of the plot, and Atlus was giving us a fucking breath of fresh air amidst the back-to-back depression.
I waited a couple days before going to see if the flowers were available at the shop. It's pretty dumb that you can only get them immediately after the link episode
I got this on my 1st playthrough...but what can I say. I'm one of those maticulous players who is always exploring every little thing each and every day, always checking markets and vendors for new items for purchase. Things like this is probably why which my first playthough took me 168 hours, between that and consistantly dungeon crawling trying to unlock all the major weapons for my teamates etc. Just trying to farm "Rubys" because the game is so greedy with not dropping them to the player. I know all the others can be purchase at the club jeweler late game. However I did have a few social arcs I wasn't able to finish on the first run due to late accumalation of max social stats, but I'll get them on the 2nd run for sure. But I had an idea Junpei wanted the flowers but couldn't afford them, so I figured the bro thing to do was to give him the hook up. After all that's all the dude talked about after it's revealed to the team he has a deep love interest for her. Between that and Fuuka's constant and annoying praises of "Kuromoru" in Tartarus if he's in you party, I honestly couldn't tell you which one was the more broken that needed to change the station. However I didn't realize this until you post this that such a small detail such a not picking up the white flowers was part of such a missable cut scene.Thanks. Also "KD" if you have any tips on getting your persona's to max 99 stats, outside of earned inscence and the arcade? I got how to get them to max level, but the max "stats" is a different process entirely. Just wondering if you had anything you might be able to add considering I noticed in alot of your other videos all your persona's have max 99 stats. Anything you can add to help speed things up would be greatly appreciated man, thanks.
@@KDThreeSixty I figured the cards in the shop had something to do with it. However accumulating the more rare ones such as ruby's, are a bit tough. But I look foward to any tips you have.
1. Don't skip invitations from jumpei.
2. Buy the white flowers and give them to jumpei
Gotta tell em when too. November 8th
worst part about this man. i did all the episodes but didn’t know about the flowers and i missed it 😭
Everyone sleeping on Junpei, he crits like a madman
He really does, especially with Mitsuru
i mean doesn't his theurgy depend on that? would think he is built that way on purpose.
Well he just went from back up to front lines many thanks
@@pforgottonsoul he only has a couple skills that help him crit. He mostly gets it from his combat characteristic and equipment
fr he was in my final party
I got this and had no idea it was optional...
Me too
in reload they make it far easier to get by just making it an episode link, which unless you've been ignoring those it's really hard to miss.
@@Artemi22 lmaoo, i completely ignored those cuz i wanted to complete all of my Slinks asap so i lost the ability to hang out with junpei at all
Honestly, I think that this scene gives Junpei even more motivation to fight Nyx. He wants to win so he can both, live for Chidori and also see her again. He already had motivation. This is just a cherry on top.
Yeah I feel like this is a must see before the fight

Yeah, that was actually how I found out she was still alive before I found the scene in the original game
WHY THE HECK IS THIS OPTIONAL
Cause it makes the story and Junpei awakening hit way less hard. I personally don’t do it.
I don’t know, it’s crazy that they would hide this ☠️
@@Megidolaon999It doesn't. He was shot and killed.

Because In a way, you need to help him save her. That's actually very pretty in my eyes
Damn junpei crying/laughing got me in my feels
Same this scene is so good

I kept trying to do it the way it worked in FES and ended up missing it my first playthrough
I probably would have missed this if I hadn't been using a guide. However, I was still aiming for it. I assumed I just needed to keep encouraging him, like you do in FES and P3P
Same, I kept trying to do that on my first playthrough
Man, thanks for this. I just realized the scene existed but couldn't find how to unlock it.
Glad I could help
First, I didn’t even know this was in the original. Second, Junpei’s third link episode? When was the 2nd one?
So I never unlocked it but on the nyx fight I got lucky enough to finish him off with Junpeis second theuragy. Seeing him beat nyx with that was the most satisfying end to the fight I could ask for.
Very true, that theurgy is so cool.
accidentally got this cutscene after NG+..feels great man 😆
I didn't even know it was a secret. I thought it was part of the plot, and Atlus was giving us a fucking breath of fresh air amidst the back-to-back depression.
I only call it that because of how easy this is to miss
So glad i prioritized the link episodes, I never want to miss dialogue in any game
Same there's so many cool moments and I don't want to miss any!
This is missable? Hell nah. Fuck no. This is canon. HAHAHA 😂 I CANNOT believe people will actually miss this. Jeez bruh. Thats crazy
Yeah I hate that they hid this scene
Oh snap I got this first playthrough
W glad you didn't have to find out the hard way
I got this and didnt even try for It, so IS this not canon or what?
It is canon as Arena established they're engaged or going to be.
It's canon
Mannn i hate this event so much 😭. I mean, it’s a good event but if it weren’t for this event, i would’ve maxed out all my social link 😭.
That 1 more rank is killing me 😭.
I waited a couple days before going to see if the flowers were available at the shop. It's pretty dumb that you can only get them immediately after the link episode
@@brendanroy8499 yeah that is pretty silly
Looks like I’m gonna have to play over again lol
I was so Happy for DA MAN especially coming from FES

Don't worry I'll make a video explaining how I did it. But a TLDR is I farmed gems to make cards like crazy

Wait what? Chidori comes back alive?
Yes sir
Haha this is a secret its such a good part of the story though
I know I wish they just let people see it!
Atlus kept this, but didn't keep portable endings. Thank you, thank you... -_-
Junpei is my favourite homie. Love his story. Was tearing up when I got this cutscene
@@Garbagecant24 Yeah this might be my favorite persona moment of all time
thx, I did platinum it on my first try, but missed this- def gonna do it when the expansion comes out later.
Glad I could help!
Im so mad i didnt do his 2nd episode and missed this smh
It's easy to miss, I missed it in my first playthrough of the original game too.
I... I thought at least 65% of the fanbase knew about this
I did too
at first when i saw the thumbnail i was like is that chidori or sumire?
😭
Was makoto in the scene in fes?
He's not
Didn't even know they were hidden, i just did the exclamation requests because i thought that's what the game told u to do.
The link episodes aren't hidden, but the scene at the end of the video is because it's not a link episode.
I did all the male link episodes, I was too scared of missing something.
Same, I knew something important would be behind them
damn game making me sad after beating it
Same
bruh I skipped one
I did in my first playthrough too
SHES ALIVE??
Yes sir
oh no shiet i miss this T_T
It’s ok it’s pretty easy to miss
Junpei personality was the reason I left him at the lowest level while I got everyone else in their 90s
Dude jumped was annoying the entire game, I literally only like him 7% of the time.
Persona players when a character doesn’t meat ride the protagonist and isn’t only one character trait:
Can’t blame you, his personality can be off putting
