Every language becomes rational when you know it. You start to focus on the words and the meaning instead of the sound of it. French for me sounds very melodic because of the accent at the end of the words and all the liaisons.

Yes, Slavic languages are difficult to tackle. It takes us, native speakers of them, on average from 10 to 14 years to master them. We have quite complex grammar. ut Russian isn't the hardest since all exceptions are neatly organized in groups. Whereas for example in Polish exceptions are not organized in any way, so they just have to be memorized and language has to be spoken the way it's spoken and that's it. And this is of course involves a lot of memorizing and a lot of speaking and following error and trial method along the way.
@@femmeNikita27 What th' heck man?! 10 years to master one of these languages? Slavic languages aren't extremely difficult to tackle for a C level, it's literally the same stuff for any other language on earth to speak, listen, memorize etc. excessively. You could master any language of your choice from a range of 1-2 years of consistency. sorry if i got u wrongly from what u meant.
@@Deusvult.bellator russian just has a lot of grammatical rules and exceptions that you need to memorise. and stressing syllables while speaking can also be quite peculiar in some words. even we, russians, almost always make small mistakes in our daily writing/talking, and we like to say that we are constantly learning our own language throughout our whole lives. it's just so much more simple to avoid mistakes in english, so that's why we say russian is a hard language to learn. but, of course, it all varies from one person to another
@@femmeNikita27 spoken and written Russian are quite different from one another as almost every word carries instances of reduction/replacement/etc, so if one sets the quest of learning the language fluently the person learns the two aspects almost as if separately. Unlike English where most words are pronounced closely enough to the spelling. Wonder if it's the same with Polish?

More vids like this are coming. Whoops I made a mistake at 8:23 and forgot to change the English translation, it should say something like: "So I guess it's... I don't know". Also I should say that, not every phrase is that easy to translate, people very often use conversational terms like "vel", "da", "jo", "altså", "sånn", which usually can't be directly translated to English

When I actually learned french I realised it is as rational as an equation...I believe spanish, italian and portuguese fit more the "romantic" sphere, they sound more vocal and fluid
Every language becomes rational when you know it. You start to focus on the words and the meaning instead of the sound of it. French for me sounds very melodic because of the accent at the end of the words and all the liaisons.
@@alam5055 This basically, for example, English is a very beautiful language and melodic as hell but people who know/have learned English consider it "bland" cause they don't focus on the sound of the language
@@wonderlandian8465 I disagree completely, when I learned it wasn't by theory, and yet I think the sounds are what makes it bland (which I don't is necessarily a bad thing btw). But the sounds of vowels and consonants are too either dry or simple. So I would never say romantic, but in some cases I would say cool. Like cowboys, or some action movies, etc.
Wonderlandian nah, as a native english speaker who is learning other languages, in comparison, it is very bland lol. The words come out dry and as if we’re bored compared to the way other Slavic and romance/latin languages sound. There’s no apparent accent and it’s usually mumbled lol.

Greeting from France
My mother lenguage is Spanish, i can also speak fluently in English and French, I know some Swedish and know I'm learning Russian, the most difficult but the most interesting at the same time
Yes, Slavic languages are difficult to tackle.
@@Deusvult.bellator russian just has a lot of grammatical rules and exceptions that you need to memorise. and stressing syllables while speaking can also be quite peculiar in some words. even we, russians, almost always make small mistakes in our daily writing/talking, and we like to say that we are constantly learning our own language throughout our whole lives. it's just so much more simple to avoid mistakes in english, so that's why we say russian is a hard language to learn. but, of course, it all varies from one person to another
Good luck at leaning Russian:)

Seeing Trondheim looking like this after I left 10 years ago actually makes me want to cry. Jeg savner Norge ❤️😪
I really love languages. My motherlanguage is Swiss german, second language German, third language English, (because I failed to learn French in school). Because of music I started to learn Finnish, Japanese and Korean. And I really like the sound of Norwegian. Maybe this could be my next project.

Javanese is one of the best and beautiful languages in my opinion. pure Javanese language has 5 levels based of politely. 1 "ngoko" for our age. 2 "madyo" to talk to our older brother/sister's age. 3 "kromo" to speak to the father/mother or person of his/her age. 4 "kromo inggil" is the most subtle Javanese language. used to speak to honorable people. and 5 "kawi" is an ancient language. which is usually used in traditional events or traditional ceremonies in Java. this is the Javanese language that prioritizes courtesy to older people. if we speak to parents but use the language "ngoko" / language to the same age, they can be angry because it is not polite. many native Javanese people who can't get to those five languages. at least two or three languages they can. and javanese language have so many vocabulary like example "sliliten" is javanese word and if u translate it to english : i have something between my teeth

All languages are beautiful. It's is sad that most of them will disappear.
Well, that's sad especially these Cornish languages when most of these languages are replaced by English.
???
Sounds ominous
I’m a brazilian but my favorite language is Italian.
Grazie Thiago!

I'm a native Spanish speaker and in my opinion i would probably say:
1. French
2. Greek
3. Spanish
4. Italian
5. English (British)
Top five we'll take that 🇬🇧🇬🇧 thank you
As an American English speaker, we have the most blunt form of speaking I've ever heard. It's so direct, lacks nuance, even our accents (I mean the USA is the size of Europe so accents very extremely but) are very direct
@- ghostin ༄ Me, the question is who asked you
@@stephenrayner5804 British English sounds great. Anybody can be saying the most stupid things, but still seem to be speaking wisdom and sense.
@@SvenDzahov I also love the American accents, believe me, literally all Spanish speakers struggle to sound with that fluent American Accent.
It's bizarre how much the Norwegian subtitles track almost one-to-one with the English subtitles. English is like Norwegian with a bunch of French words slapped on. Which makes sense since English became heavily influenced by Old Norse when the Vikings colonized England in the 800s. Now the actual syntax and grammar of both languages are pretty similar (though vocab and pronunciation are very different). Reminds me of my first Norwegian movie I've ever seen and how the hero of the movie said "I took a boat to Brazil" in Norwegian. It sounded almost exactly like it does in English. I needed to rewind a bunch of times to just make sure some English didn't slip in. But, nope, it was Norwegian. It was very, very weird...
