- So after many months of waiting, my brand new custom Swift Prospector 14 canoe finally arrived. She's an absolute beauty! So for her first trip, I head to the beautiful Hawkesbury River on a 3 day solo camp. Hope you enjoy. P.s Sorry about the noisy cicadas. They were deafening.

Best looking Canoe I've ever seen. What a beauty.
If you want an awesome quick day trip on the Hawkesbury on a canoe or kayak. Jump in at the Akuna Bay Marina and turn right on Coal and Candle Creek, its a very short paddle to the end where its nice and shallow so no boats with super clear water, waterfalls and great fishing.
The first thing I said to my wife when I started watching was, Scotty's got a new hat..love your trips mate and sorry to hear about the new canoe.

They're just perfect to enjoy with a GnT in hand after a rough day at work or when I need a pick me up.
Be proud that you're making something that lasts, if you sold blu-rays i'd buy them!
Best way I've found to get the cheese all melty inside without burning the outside is just to keep constantly flipping it. You'll send heat through to melt all the cheese while giving the outside a break so it doesn't burn. Works well with grilled cheese or other grilled sandwiches too. Great video! Thanks for sharing.

The first dings in a new boat are the most difficult to accept. Bill Swift builds some fantastic canoes. They may be a bit costly but this is a canoe your children will fight over when you are gone. A true heirloom boat. Next time you are in North America you need to visit Swift Canoe.

The prospector is my favorite canoe. The old timers had them in cedar and canvas. Everyone makes a version of it up here. 🇨🇦

Little grit in the reel, dunk it in the water a few times then take it apart when you get home and clean it. Grease it and oil it all good!

Wow! Swift - a Canadian-manufactured canoe in Australia! Best looking / best engineered light weight composite canoes anywhere in the world I think.
I have been emailing and contacting Australian dealers to bring these in for a couple of years. It is great to see these coming in to Australia now. They are an amazing canoe. I will be happy to get rid of the sit on top and change to a light weight Canadian!!!it was also good to see how well the boat survived the unintended auto unload. These babies will sell like hotcakes!

Beautiful canoe (and location). The Swift Prospector was on my short list over the years. I went with a Northstar Phoenix in Blacklite though. I would call them cousins in the canoe species, very similar. Thanks for sharing your trip.
On another note, your rollercoaster emotion ride when the canoe came off your vehicle... I get it... truly. LOL I had the same thing when out canoeing once and my cellphone fell into the lake. It was a lesson learned though, and then always was in a case with lanyard to the canoe. The lessons we learn....... Cheers!
Just quick tip to kill the reel noise... just dip it into the water noise is gone. 30s fix. Great clip as always !!!

Nice to see a Swift Canoe down under. Made by the son of Algonquin Outfitter's Owner in Algonquin Park, Ontario, Canada. Advice from an old Canadian, we traditionally stored our canoes on shore, inverted. I do it, the old timers did it, and still do. It keeps the rain out (does not become a bath tub after a rain), and it preserves the bottom from needless scratches. This was a take away from when we used cedar-canvas canoes. I love the Kevlar, mine is a 15 ft 3" and it weighs about 45 pounds. Easy to portage, but can be blown away in a strong wind (as you discovered). Love your videos.

I have a Prospector 15 sitting waiting for me atm with the crew at P&P! (I cannot wait, but I have to), and feel your pain with the damage... Loving the new hat Scotty. I really must get myself one for a few travels around Europe. Again I always admire the sheer beauty of the places you visit. You guys truly live in paradise. Sadly a law in the UK has just recently been passed to stop us camping on Dartmoor national park. Again our rights to enjoy nature are infringed upon here. It's not a total ban mate, besides its illegal to camp most places in England, but widely tolerated, especially if you camp responsibly 😃 it certainly doesn't stop me from exploring our national parks and wild places 👍🏻

I camped in a remote valley in NE Victoria about 25 years ago and the cicadas woke at dawn and kept up their sound until sunset and after. It was an amazing experience.
Don't worry, the nicks in the boat can be easily repaired. Beautiful canoe, btw

Canoe's smashed. Hat's not worn in. Reel's cactus. Boats everywhere. The f'n cicadas are doing my head in. People leaving shit everywhere. Bloody wind. No fish. I can imagine the heartbreak of your brand new canoe falling off your vehicle. I dented my new car, my daughter dented her new car and put a huge rip in her brand new tent. That sinking feeling. Yeah I like the pictures Scotty. Very cool. I love the outdoors. Sorry about your canoe. Yes is can be repaired. Since I was ten years old I have been on many canoe trips in the Boundary Waters Northern Minnesota. I'm 65 now. What good times they were but a lot of work.
