Oh shit I came across this song and it sounded familiar and I was trying to figure out where I heard it
AwesomeSkitz Nostalgia I still remember the autumn season of when that game was released 6 years ago, 13 was a changing upgrade to the previous years chel games. If I’m not mistaken that was the first chel game to introduce HUT.
RhyperiorSuperior I remember too. It felt COMPLETELY different than Chel 12 and every other nhl. It was by far the most realistic. Fuck I was addicted to that game hahah a
Nhl 13 was my first nhl on ps3 and i was 8, it was so special to play it

Saw these guys last night in Philly, one of the best shows of my life. I talked to them too, they are the most down to Earth guys. One of my favorite bands of all time!

Last week I saw this guys live and it was the first time I had ever heard of them they were performing at my University campus. They start playing this song and I do "wow this song is dope as hell I wish I knew its name". A week later it's on my copy of NHL 13 and I am stoked. Shout out to this song for making my day.
This song just revamped my excitement for the new album. I CAN'T WAIT!

Love this song for some reason even if it sounds a bit tinny on a computer. I wish more of their songs were in this vein but then again I haven't heard many of the others. Here's to more!! Congratulations Arkelles, keep going!

Nice! I didn't get a chance to meet with them. Did get to catch up with The Maine outside. The Maine said they were going to try to come back with Arkells before the end of the year.
I like them alot. kinda wish i would of taken the opportunity to see them when they were on tour with the maine. :(

Today in my art class this guy had his iPod on shuffle in a dock, we were all listening to his songs. The whole classroom was slient when this song came on, nobody knew who the hell this band was. I shouted "Whistleblower!? Omg I love The Arkells!" and broke the awkward silence & everyone stared at me.

I think you're right but in popular music what counts most is whether the vocal style is distinctive (for marketing - do you know it as soon as you hear it on the radio?) and carries the emotion of the song. I would say yes to both for his voice. And personally, as a rock voice, I think it's great. I heard him on the Strombo Show tonight doing an acoustic live version in a different style and I thought the way he sang it was even better. I hope they put it online.

@TotalNeutrality to be fair there's a lot of good dubstep out there and it takes skill to make, obviously not the same way as playing a guitar but possibly even harder to figure out with timing and pitch and other factors
