Can we just acknowledge the fact that Sophie rode without a trainer? I don’t care how long she rode for but she rode! I’m so happy for her. She has gotten so much confidence riding her boy
She rode longer then I put in too. Not only rode but jumped without a trainer and after a bad ride. She also watched gabby and finn fight and realized how much her boy loves her.

DayByDay Vlogs Lol! I can’t wait to see how you guys deal with Storm’s dominance! My horse is dominant to, but he was abused before we got him:( Something that helped was standing out in the pasture with him and our other horses while he had is halter on. It definitely made him see that he didn’t have to kick or bite the other horses to show that he didn’t want them near. I know it’s not the same with Storm but maybe it will help him out in some way.
You crack me up with the “first!!”🤣🤣. I swear these drastic dips in the temperature cause either colicky ponies or sassy crazy ponies! Storm was feeling it for sure! I’m sure the Fiona and Brandan will help you come up with a plan to help with Storm and his sassy man syndrome. Sassy man syndrome sounded better to me than the technical terms like herd bound/ dominance blah blah🤣🤣🤣.
The girls did a fantastic job or staying nice and calm during the Storm craziness. They reacted so well and kept Finn and Chino confident and non reactive. I swear every time Kaiylee comes over the horses start showing off.🤣🤣

Laura if nobody listens to you then show them who’s boss! Just like Storm shows that he’s the boss between Fin and Chino! It was dangerous to be in a paddock with a free horse that you just saw being all dominant over the horses that are going in there!! With riders! Uh oh! But anyways, I love you guys and your videos always make my day 100x better!

I know storm gets upset, but I personally didnt see a ton wrong with the video other than natural horse behavior. Horses are herd animals, they dont like being left alone and that gets him worked up like a tightly wound spring. I'm glad no one got hurt! I think everyone would have felt more safe though if storm had been put in a stall while they were out riding. I really dont know if this is something you can fix. Its just the way he is :) though maybe more ground work so you all can run into the field and get him to listen to you instead of having fomo

Mabey Storm needs another horse or something like a goat. Goats can be great companions for horses we have two goats and my horse Holly loves them. Also Finn was a rockstar when all of it happened or when you filmed Holly, my horse is a lot like storm we have to separate her from the rest of the horse and what we did was put hot wire down the middle of the paddock

I saw your Instagram post last night and I was so worried all night until this morning! I’m glad it wasn’t that bad like an injury or one of the girls was injured or anything like that. I hate horses that are overly dominant in the field because they all seem to have that grumpy old man attitude like storm. I laughed so hard when you started running away Laura 😂, I’m glad you and Molly are okay 😂! I hope Gracie is okay. She definitely didn’t look herself. In the video her poop looked a little bit darker but who can really tell through a video :). I prayed for your family last night and I’m glad that my prayers worked 💕 love you guys! Stay safe
Luckily no one got kicked. Storm wouldn't want to hurt the girls but it can happen. I know someone who did this and she got hurt because a horse kicked her. Got her in the knee. She only rode through the field because she was being lazy and didn't want to ride around the field after a trail ride. She learned her lesson.
Plus finn and chino can't run away or protect themselves because they have a rider on them. If they do try to fight back with a rider on them and that become a habit then that can cause problems in the show ring and trails while riding with others.
I would suggest to put storm in his paddock so he doesn't run after them again. That was scary. Especially with a dominant horse on the loose.

I love the pony’s so much! 💗their so cute☺️but I would look into getting a new barn that all your horses can have a stall and their is a dirt pasture for the pony’s, just a thought to do before you get your horse Laura 😌💜
I prefer the horsed not be in a stall unless the weather is bad and the ponies can't be on grass so we're all good

It's not a good idea to ride with a lose horse. I learned this when I did it and got kicked by the lose horse. Its not uncomfortable for them to act like ding dongs.

I don’t have a lot of friends who are equestrians so I’m going to put this here haha! Basically for years i’ve had a trainer whose held me back etc. Well back in November I found a new trainer. This was pretty hard for me because my old trainer was pretty much a family friend. Anyways at first I was improving so much! But then for like a couple of months I guess you could say we were kind of stuck. The horse I was riding and leasing wasn’t like any horse i’ve ridden before. He got extremely powerful while jumping etc and at first was too much for me. Well recently the last month every jump school we’ve done something has happened and now we’re improving so much! Last lesson we jumped a 3 foot oxer for the first time. To others this isn’t much but looking at our progress from November this is huge for us!

Look at them showing off to storm hahah they were all so happy to have a run around. You know your horses are feeling good and happy when they do that. you guys are the best. My sister has a horse just like storm who had the biggest dominance issues, he kicks out and bites and chases my horse around, but we have noticed as he has gotten older hes a lot less agressive, he probably just cant be bothered bullying his friends, i know that you guys will sort it out. you are such caring horse owners who always think of the best ways to treat your horses.

I used to ride in a field with other horses all the time. My horses boyfriend would follow and I’d get nervous but my trainer told me to just keep going. He eventually figured out that in order to follow us he’d have to work too and left us alone. I also brought something with me to wave him off just in case
On the other hand riding in a field with a loose horse isn’t always the best plan. It can go very wrong very fast.

Honeslty this is just a real life experience for you guys, this is incredibly normal behaviour for a lot of horses. You guys have just been really lucky with having calm horse most the time. I have a horse that does it and everytime she does I just pray she doesn’t slip over with how stupid she runs around 😂

Go buy the Harry's razers. You can order them from their website or you can find them at walmart. They are the best ones and you can change the blade out and each one of you can have a different colored handle so you know which one is yours.
Just a thought, but if the grass is the primary problem with your arena, why not not bulldoze & scrape it with Sam's tractor to eliminate the grass? Then mix sand in with the dirt and level it off. That could make it ridable until it gets too cold & wet/snowy. Storm is just acting like the leader of the herd this morning. Of course Finn & Chino are under him in the pecking order so he's just making sure everyone understands his rank & sees it the way he does.. Later when Gabby is riding Chino I think Storm is frustrated & upset because he went to the clinic, he performed well so why is his girl working with this other guy? LOL.

I saw your insta post and headed straight over here and hoped the comments were on haven’t watched the video yet and have no idea what its about but I would support you guys no matter what everyone is not perfect no human no animal and everyone makes mistakes and deserves to be forgave just remember your not perfect and no one expects you to be you guys do an absolutely amazing job caring and loving your horses and I absolutely love how Sophie has grown as a rider she’s so much more confident now and I can tell she’s sooo happy with her place with Finn and her bond with Finn gabby is also an amazing rider and her bond with storm has grown so much these past few months you can tell she has an unbreakable bond with him, you guys are such an inspiration to me absolutely love this channel it shows life is not always perfect but you can get through it, I also love how you guys show what happens behind the scenes and that you guys are not perfect most UA-camrs use there platform to show a perfect life they wish they lived but what’s different about your channel is you guys show the flaws in life I will always and forever love this channel keep up the amazing fantastic work(p.s absolutely love your attitude towards life Laura hope you find you dream horse you absolutely deserve it)😊❤️

You guys are doing great figuring out what you need done for YOUR horses. In all honesty, anyone can leave hate but they are deal with your horses, your situations or anything that’s going on in your lives because it’s your life and your kids and animals. It’s seriously annoying to see people hate. We all learn differently, we all have different horses, parents, kids, trainers, animals, vets, properties and lives. My saying is “you live and you learn” because that’s what it’s about. You guys have came an extremely long way from the start, I’ve been watching for a long time! One more thing I wanted to mention is Sophie is so confident on Finn, I love that! They are the perfect team! People say that horses don’t love humans, and those 2 right there are proof that they love their humans! Also one more thing before I forget, I’ve been wanting to mention this. So your herd before you got chino and still had Stella reminding me of my heard. I have a black and white mare named Shug that reminded me of Stella, they had similar things about eachother. Storm reminds me of my sorrel names Bo, Finn reminds me a lot of my grey and white mare names Tiva, my black small mare named Koko reminds me of Willow and My sorrel and white paint reminds me of Gracie. Not because of looks, but because of personality traits, some of them are similar to my horses. Anyways just wanted to mention that cause I remembered haha! I have to ride past my neighbours field down the lane to get to the common track . They have a young filly that when he sees tom runs up and down going nuts . Every morning with fail! Thankfully there’s a hedge and tom dosnt react to it anymore! He used to . just be careful they could of gotten hurt .

If the horse is still careful on the grass and doesn’t want to go forward and it’s not its legs or back I would check for stomach ulcers. It may eat alright and maintain weight, but sometimes discomfort is shown only in certain situations and it’s hard to pinpoint what’s really going on.

love each and every one of your videos :D today i rode my cousins horse zeus and omg. he was the sassiest stallion ive ever met. he was cantering around the arena and i lost BOTH of my stirrups.. he bolted and i was just sitting there holding on but finally when he slowed down a bit i was able to jump off! that was the craziest lesson ive ever done!!

Could I recommend muscle testing and the masterson method, muscle testing can help with gracies diarrhea and maybe help with storms attitude I’m not saying it’s going to cure it but it might help, I would research more about it to see if it works for you, and masterson method helps with real easing tension that the horse has, you can do the masterson method but I would either get a certified person or you yourself get certified, for the muscle testing💙🥰

Feed storm last out of the boys it is like a dog if u feed them before you're self they will get dominant but feed fin chino then storm so storm knows that fin is first

I ride a norjewain fjord horse I've been riding for seven years the horse isn't mine but I act like it's my own . horse . I have a question is it hard to do jumping? I always want to do jumping. Tell everyone I said hello!!
