Great video....got to the point quickly and answered all the questions I would have asked......thanks for not sharing a load of unnecessary stuff unrelated to the pedal.......hard to find these days!
Thanks a ton Greg! I appreciate the compliment. I’m gonna play out with it for the first time tonight. Certainly sounded great at home. I think it’s a for sure buy if u r in the market
I got one and out of the box there is a humm or a static noise, depending on if I push the ground button on the side. I'm so not impressed with this unusable pedal. Back to the store with you. Can't hear the harmony over the hum or static noise. DO NOT BUY BEFORE YOU TRY.
I have one and the harmonies are great, just wish I didn't hate the reverb, and wish the tone settings were saved.. As it stands on mine I have to set the tone every time I use the pedal, so it lives in my drawer..
so im a mediocre\poor singer at best (children cry when I sing and i disrupt the flight patterns of birds. )- and looking to correct a bit and add some chorus and harmonies...and was considering a blend of mic mechanic, harmony singer and corrector by flamma... what would you recommend as a set up for a challenged singer to make it presentable and have backing vocal etc?
Sorry I didn’t see this!! I know u figured it out by now probably. It seems like u have vocal pedals under control. Just make sure you can hear your mix well in any event. Better performance is always gonna be the best solution. 1% gains add up. If u want something to play back tracks from, you could use an iPad app perhaps. My Boss loopstations both have memory to upload backtracks if I need as well. Hope that helps!
The Rc-600 doesn't do harmony read by guitar chords or input music. Only if u set the key or potentially midi. So I can't use the feature as a guitarist.

@@brentbrownmusic I meant like hooking it onto a separate aux bus or fx loop on a digital mixer. i’m wondering how to set that up or if it’s possible at all. i’m also curious if the pedal could identify the key from a sound signal of a full band just as well (drumless perhaps?) or any instrument other than an acoustic guitar. 👀
How does this compare to the Ve2 bose ?. I'm a house music singer wanting to buy a vocal harmony effects pedal. Currently all Ve2s are out of stock here in the UK. Thanks J
I haven’t tried it with a band. But if it’s loud in a room, I always make sure to stick my chords before singing the harmony. I often ride the pedal on and off. Good luck man!
@@brentbrownmusic I figured it out! The pedal although 9v needs a higher amperage. So I have it plugged into my 250MA outputs on my dc power brick. Newer to pedals and building my pedal board. How the hell is someone suppose to know what amperage a certain pedal needs?!?!

I understand that the harmonies stay in tune with the guitar but what about your voice, does it do any kind of auto tune to keep your voice in tune with the guitar?
So tell me this does the harmonizer only work if it’s triggered through a guitar or piano? what I’m trying to say is can you use it without an instrument like singing a cappella without other instruments with a harmonizer still work?
Hey thanks for the info Brent! I’m actually waiting for mine to arrive in the mail! Question for ya: I’m also going to use a pre-amp/eq/effects pedal. Something like the Trex Soulmate Acoustic, the Fishman Tone DEQ, or the Boss AD10. (I’ve been using the TC Helicon Play Acoustic, but I want to have a separate/better quality pedal with more control for my guitar). My question is, should I plug into the Harmony Singer first, or after the pre-amp? I believe it should go first so that the harmony pedal receives the cleanest guitar signal first, without any effects applied, so it can create the harmonies most accurately. Whatcha think? Thanks so much!
Awesome John! I like that you are delving deep into the tone. I would saying pure first, but maybe try the other way too. It’s always worth testing just in case it’s better.
@@brentbrownmusic Thanks Brent! After trying all those preamps, I actually decided on the Radial Tonebone PZ Pre. Clean and simple. I don't need any other effects right now. First I want to get my essential sound as solid as possible. The TRex Soulmate is wonderful too, but again I don't need all the extra effects.
Hello Brent!! Have you ever compared the RC-600 harmony vocals with the HS2 one? If yes, what were your impressions? I'm thinking about buying the HS2, but maybe would be nice to gather some extra money and buy only the RC-600 to use its harmony vocals... I'm a little confused in this decision.
The RC-600 I don't use for harmonies, because it can't detect them from guitar. It's a manual change key thing. I need something like the HS2 to read my guitar chords.
im about to get this pedal but it has a tones of bad review as not reliable. Either stop working after a few month, made distorted sounds or the on / off switch were giving problems. How long do you have it and whats been your experience?
I haven’t watched others videos on it. Personally I got this at the start of April 2024. It has worked great for me so far! I don’t wanna sell ya on it. But I love it personally for how compact it is.
@@brentbrownmusic Thank You.I see, it's very small, I guess its ok if anything it's it would be probably worth enough to get another one and not carry a big one. I'm all about compact set up too:)
Has anyone experienced an insane amount of interference when using this device? It usually starts out working fine, but after about 5 mins it starts spazzing out and my entire chain is filled with ugly electrical sounding noise. Is it just damaged?
It seems either damaged, a power/power supply issue, an interference loop due to power cords and instrument cables touching and not enough shielding. Or the actual cables. I remember switching to Mogami golds and fixing a similar issue with different gear. Best of luck my friend! Personally my unit hasn’t had any issues. So u have to trouble shoot a little
Very often a drop in power either due to power supply or power circuit in the pedal fault. A drop in power can cause distortion. Check the connection chain an psu, and all leads.
Have you ever heard that song stuck on you by Lionel Richie' well I'm gonna get this pedal and sing that song to my girlfriend and me and her both can play our guitars and sing that song together because we are planning on getting married when we get out of school but she is 15 now and I'm 3 months older than her but we have to wait until we graduate then we will get married but we are gonna sing that song together so nobody will be getting no ideas because she's mine and I belong to her just the same way. That is a good pedal for me and her to sing together and play our guitars together.
That was fascinating! So you sing a note and the machine harmonizes your voice to several notes? You are amazing with the sound machine and looping and all that ha ha So is it really you singing? jk i have heard so many of these "pop" stars today use a lot of auto tuning. Idk i like raw and real :)
Thanks man! I only use it for 1 light 3rd harmony over my voice in sections I can’t loop. It doesn’t auto tune (aka change my singing in anyway), but it makes the microphone sound better. I also like the reverb on it. A small swish army knife of a vocal pedal. I appreciate u watching even my gear vids Rich!🙏

hey does this work with an audio fuse interface? or do i need to get more equipment to make this run?
I'm not positive what that is. This just sends an XLR in and XLR out. Hope that helps!
I use it with out guitar or keyboards just for sax 🎷???
I don’t know if it will work with sax. Would be interesting tho if it did!

There isn’t a separate channel for FX send and Receive on this unit. Just 1 XLR in and Out.

Yea, you need a chordal instrument or back track to trigger the harmony detection.
OK, compared to play acoustic it does not have a key setting so you have to feed a sound into the input for it to align the key to the harmony...
