They have no moving parts so it retains its value heck of a lot more , and the main reason is the amount of engineering and compact wiring and fittings involved etc. comparable to getting a Porsche instead of big truck.
Really nice camper but price on these is way too high $100k for a truck camper 😢 If you finance then you adding the current high interest cost so it’s a second mortgage
If you're never going to buy one, why are you complaining about the price? Any thoughts on Gulfstream jet costs...? If you're going to complain about the cost of things you won't buy - think really big and expensive...
@@smokingtrez I'm not worried about anything - why would you think that? I'm merely encouraging people who like to complain about costs to think bigger and complain about something really expensive that they won't buy...self-limitation by self-definition...?
This is the nicest you can buy imo but they still weren’t 100k to me. You can get them for half that now but yeah no the original prices were stupid. On the side, my one and only complaint is that they didn’t use a bathtub.
Host's attention to detail is good. They probably went with tip down doors on the bed night stands since sliding drawers would eat up too much storage space inside. If I had a pickup, I would rather go with that nightstand design. One question: why do truck campers never have a tip-up roof over the bedroom since it's usually the most cramped section of the camper? I have never seen one. Would installing a tip-up roof seriously upset the stability of the frame?
"One question: why do truck campers never have a tip-up roof over the bedroom since it's usually the most cramped section of the camper?" I think that's a great question! I wish someone from Host would answer that.
Hundred thousand dollars for a camper hundred thousand dollars for 5500 Truck to carry all that weight and then pull all your toys, insane!!!!!! My Kodiak 40k ten years ago, my 5 th wheel 40k 12 years ago.
Great camper, love the couch with the fixed telescoping table instead of the movable table. I would’ve swapped out the dresser with the washer/dryer combo package though. Do you know what color the interior is? I can’t find it on their website
@@omgsam7185 Between camper and truck, with tax, title and interest, you're looking somewhere around $250,000. Not to mention, most people have a utility trailer they put other stuff in it that they can't put or don't want to put in the camper. Gulf cart, fire ring, kayaks and such. That could run another $10,000 to $20,000 or more.
They should put the Window next to the Entrance Sofa, by the Door 🚪 and Push the Sofa to the Centre. So that the Camper can be Accessible when the Slide is in, in the Event of an Emergency...

@@kevinthorne9892 I have the host Tahoe , it’s maybe 10 seconds ,these bigs ones are geared and marketed to retirees I would assume. I don’t think they are really road warriors, kind just one destination and set up for a week at a time kinda people
You can order a microwave if you want that. This build had the cooktop and oven instead of a microwave/convection oven and cooktop. Host custom-builds the campers as ordered. The manufacturer doesn't make a "standard model." It's up to the dealer or buyer to specify the camper.
The bad thing about this is unless you open the slide u you can’t get in through the door ! Also the cabinets aren’t tongue and groove ! A lot of money for not much quality !
Why would you want tongue and groove cabinets? Do you mean dovetails between the drawer fronts and sides? Tongue and groove makes no sense - that's what you find in paneling.
Why are these so exspensive? They are a fraction of the size of a travel trailer. No tires, wheels, or axles. What gives?

Over priced you would have close to 200.000 when you included the truck to haul it 😮
I love this! You've got a mini condo on wheels!
Another guy video presentation, very well done. Your sales commission should increase greatly, tell the boss you deserve it.
I've toured this camper..it so extremely spacious and homie

You could get 2-4 full size campers for that price

Unless the interior is the smoky river color but it doesn’t seem similar
May I ask how much it cost you in USD in total + what truck did you get and the cost of truck as well?

Either I’m poor or the builder is greedy or trying to make someone feel like they’re getting a deal by bloating the price
Because you're an expert in manufacturing costs associated with RVs...sure you are...
Can you put something like this on a short bed, mega cab, dually?
Host makes a short bed option. It is the Tahoe
$96k!

THE WORD!!!!!
100k ... LOL ... Hard Pass
Not to mention another 100k for the truck that could carry it
This is the cheaper one . Buy used if you can't afford this one.
I d rather buy a house for that......
How do you expect somebody to see the MSRP when you're not focusing on the bill sheet
He said pause the video dipshlt
Way too much money but nice
Nice setup but too much $$$$$$$$$$
Way too expensive for a truck camper. You can get a nice fifth wheel for that price and have all the room you could ever want.
What if you don't want to tow a fifth wheel or trailer? I'm not the least bit interested in towing an RV.
And not fit into any campgrounds worth a darn..
better wear a helmet to bed
This lets you take ALL your shit with you so you’re never without more shit than you ever need.
I paused for no one
