Never gets tired of this superb performance. Read that the conductor who gave the introduction passed away years ago due illness. So sad, but he will continue to live on via this unforgettable video clip. Many thanks for uploading and sharing it. 🙏
+carmen catalano I second that notion. Not only the best vacation ever, but a part of my heart remains in that beautiful city, to this day. That's what NOLA does to you, it smiles at you while tearing a little bit of your heart so that you always wish to come back!
carmen catalano I had an amazing time in N'Orleans as well, and the music I heard forever changed my taste in music. please check out my clarinet cover of this song
This was terrific already, and then when the singer hit that first note it made me smile uncontrollably and dance in my seat. Such a great song and so well played!
I saw this band mid-80s and although the cast has changed the sound is still fantastic. Ken Livingstone was the politico i/c in London and subsidised the shows. It was in the QEII hall. I will never forget it even after 35+ years. I still have the vinyl carefully preserved.
John Brunious,jr. (Trumpet, Voc.) - Frank Demond (Trombone) - Rickie Monie (Piano) - Walter Payton (Bass) - Joe Lastie (Drums) I don't know who is the Alt-Sax-Player and the Banjo-Player.
Konrad - you don't make "sense" (Is English your native language?). Note the Title of the Video. It explains everything. And it was a wonderful experience to view/listen.
MY KIND OF MUSIC!!! OUTSTANDING!!! I COULD LISTEN TO THIS KIND OF MUSIC AND THESE AWESOME PERFORMERS ALL DAY!!! IT TRULY BRINGS JOY TO MY HEART!!!
One fine performance, would of loved to have been there!

one of the best vacations of my life was in New Orleans, eating, drinking , and listening to some of the best music in the world!

thanks to the Cincinati pops orchestra. but who are they ?
It makes perfect sense. There's nothing that says orchestras can't play jazz music.
someone's gotta teach those pizzicato pickers to swing!
Ein Besuch für's Leben - Pat O'Briens
Yes, a one in a life experience!
Carl LeBlanc is the spirit of NOLA personified.
It's a cute idea but the orchestra just makes it muddy and dragging.
I luv Nawlings....for true.

Who said Old timers can't be fantastic at playing and have FUN.....
Good afternoon I love that preserveis such jazz. What I want is for you to pay me the arrangements and scores of this song. Thank you very much

So much for intonation????
Mijn allermooiste vacantie in new orleans albert borkent
It’s “Cincinnati” not “Cincinnatti” come on!!!
The ironic thing is that there is no good music on Bourbon Street any more
SORRY,IT JUST DOSENT WORK FOR ME.I DOWN THUMBED IT BUT IT STILL CAME THUMBS UP.STRANGE.
PHJB ARE BEST ON THEIR OWN..
I am not decrying this rendition but, in my view, I have heard better. However, to each his own.
Why is there an orchestra in the back? Makes absolutely no sence!!
BOOOOOOOOOO, BOOOOOOOOOO, BOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
