The only downside I can see is if the players do end up looking bad, then it may be harder to get sponsors (but I think sponsors mostly care about results in tournaments).
The coolest part of these videos is showing how execution and timing varies from game to game. Marlin is my favorite UMvC3 player ever because of all the impossible super hard arthritis combos he would do in tournaments, but seeing him have somewhat of a hard time with Street Fighter combos is cool just to see how different it is.

Just finished all these trial videos. I have enjoyed Zangief before but have never been able to play at a competitive level. It would be cool to see you go through the Zangief trials.
I figured out why they do SF4 trials, it’s because they aren’t hard so the editors don’t have to go through HOURS of footage for each person 😌👌 shoutout the editors

Gouken was my main back in the prime of sf4. I loved using him, played him in tournaments and that stuff. So cool to see the pro players struggle with the trials the same way i did lol..maybe not as much as i did
Gouken he is an unpopular character since he does not have shoryu, but when you learn to use the counters he likes it, that is why many like to see strong players with this character, good video! by the way my main is gouken in usf4
I'm on the casual side so I just flat out couldn't do some trials as i wasn't aware about "half steps" and having to hit the "toes" instead of the body to get the combo to register and that sort of thing AKA stuff the instructions don't tell you. Of course you could watch a demo or watch online but as I said I was casual, even more than I am now.
What if at the end of these trials videos, all the pandas who participate have to do an exhibition match with the character. The point of the matches is not only to win, but to land as many of the trials in the mirror match as possible.
that micro step combo is just ANOTHER reason why we need better tutorials, demos, and trials with clear instructions and explanations. I might have done that for a half hour before I realized.....
Have them record the videos with timers, at the end give us a list of who made it faster. Make them compete for faster time.🤣
