The amount of brilliant Brazilians, that eventually turned bad are staggering: Kleberson, Caio Ribeiro, Adailton, Robinho, Denilson, Jo, Alex Rodrigo Dias Da Costa ( "Alex"), Andre Santos, Branco, Gilberto da Silva Melo ("Gilberto"), Roque Junior, Afonso Alves.... the list can keep going and going....
You're Not That Guy Obviously because anyone who plays FIFA has no knowledge of real life football. Even though the only reason someone would get FIFA is if they actually enjoy Real Life Football.
You're Not That Guy So what about David Meyler hes a Fifa 'kid' and is also a professional footballer does that still mean he knows nothing about football?
you're right the majority of these guys careers didnt go downhill all of a sudden anyway. Kaka, Gourcuff, Essien etc. were down to injuries. If they going to use that as a benchmark Brazilian Ronaldo shoulve been number 1, or even perhaps Maradonna.
Well, Rooney did have a bad spell with injuries in his mos recent few seasons. But ultimately Rooney was just an early bloomer, and his body gave in; just too slow now.
Rooney got injured many times he got injured four times in 2007-08 and never played 38 games so what shit are you eating the had many injuries so maybe you should Watch football and not just he a hater
Rooney started playing as a CAM/CM when RVP came. He still scored 10+ goals from from 12/13 even last season when LVG played him in strike he was hitting form earlier in 2016. But this season he's not been so great. Been benched for like half of the season. He's not going to score many goals now but he still assisting goals that's maybe his new way of playing. He hardly played this season and still has more assists than Ozil
RVP ended Rooney's career , Robin was far better and Manchester Utd won the title purely because of his arrival .How many assists did Rooney get last season ? Özil got 19 highest in the premier league and why Arsenal finished 2nd and why Manchester Utd finished 5th lol . Rooney's decline has been on the cards for a good 4 years he's shit .
Diego is recovering his good football. He's been the master key to 2017's Flamengo at Libertadores. And some journalists think that he already deserves a call to Brazilian National Team. At least to be on the bench
I think Ronaldinho should be on this list. He was amazing at Barca until they won the UCL then he went downhill and didn't win the league for 2 years, then once Pep was in charge they sold him he didn't really do much at AC Milan or anywhere else.
It's not Rooney's fault that he went to scoring 7 in a season he got dropped to midfield and he keeps getting put on the bench so. It's not Rooney's fault and he is the best Manchester United player in history.
S_ Hussain4646 Are you really saying Ronaldo didn't do shit in United? So the ballon d'or, golden boot, champions, etc came around for no reason? What a joke. Ronaldo was the best but Rooney was more decisive because he stayed there for 13 years.
Gianluigi Lentini should be on the list. He was at one point of time the world's most expensive player and had the whole world at his feet. His incident in 93 caused a really sharp decline. Tomas Brolin is another name that comes to mind.
Without a doubt Ronaldinho should've been on this list. He was pure magic, nobody could do the skills and tricks so effectively like he could. He was the best player in the world up until his final season at Barcelona and it was all down hill from there.
Rooney is more of a midfilder in the last few seasons. It was LVG who started playing him in CM so he was hardly going to score more goals but at times even last season when he played as a striker earlier on 2016 Rooney was on fire with goals until his injury in February which Rashford arrived and Rooney was forced to play in cm. But these days I see Jose playing him on the wings which doesn't makes sense since he lacks pace. If he starts he should always play in CAM.
People will try to deny it, but Manchester United have had the best strikers in Football history. Van Nistelrooy, Cristiano Ronaldo, George Best, Wayne Rooney, Dimitar Berbatov, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Sir Bobby Charlton, the list goes on. Try and call me wrong.
inzaghi, schevchenko, gullit, van basten, ibrahimovič, crespo, baggio, i think ac milan trumps united in that position, and cr7, best and Charlton are not strikers
Wayne Rooney's career hasn't really declined. He's been consistent pretty much every season. Pretty much every year he almost has the same amount of goals. He's dropped to a deeper role playing as a CAM or CM and he still has more assists than Ozil. Its not about goals its about what you do for the team and Wayne Rooney recently has been pretty consistent since he's been starting for Man United he's been scoring and assisting and I know he hasn't been playing as much. During this season he's been coming on as a sub or he's been injured and he doesn't have that much time to score all the time or do anything and he's been playing in a deeper role so that's why his goal ratio has gone down. He's not declining.. He's just playing a different game. I don't know why you English hooligans criticize Wayne Rooney he's been the best English player ever.
Where the hell is Ronaldinho? you put Kaka in here yet didnt include Ronaldinho...kaka was blighted by injuries and probably the most devastating moment for me as his fans..he's my favourite player but sadly injuries killed his career..but unlike Ronaldinho, he used to party so much after he won it all..tho it's very pleasing to watch him play but how I wished he could stop partying and drinking so he could be in his prime for more than 8-10 years just like Messi and CR..damnnnnnnn
randy dwi A lot of factor actually is.. first of all how old is essien???.. Essien was played in grade A++ pitch for more than 15 years and suddenly he play for C grade pitch.. the weather.. new language.. a lof of stuff
Michael Owen seemed like an obvious choice went from ballon d'or winner to a man plagued with injuries and never reaching the same heights after his move to madrid
It's more of that Rooney got dropped and was put in the midfield. Yea his form dropped but it wasn't just because of him. Subscribe to me for the latest Daily Football News!
Alex's Sports News Also Mourihno playing him as a winger at times which makes no sense. He hasn't got that pace anymore. He should only be playing in CAM or ST
You clearly forgot Diego's time with Atletico Madrid! a great time over there. Also. It is not the same to decline because of injury (horrible injuries by the way) than to do it because of other reasons. biased video and very judgmental! #shame
2009-2011 Rooney was the best in my book. He carried the United team alone those two years after Teves and Ronaldo leaving left a giant hole in United's attack, helping them finish 2nd and 1st. He started declining after his serious injury at the end of 2011 season where he scored 34 and lost the golden boot award to Drogba because he wasn't available for the last five premier league games.
Diego is actually playing really really well with Flamengo, and his time with Atlético and in Turkey wasn't that bad either. I can think of at least 5 other guys that deserve that spot more than him.
Surprised no ones mentioned dwight yorke. Was amazing in his first Man United, good in his second season, washed up by his third before fergie got rid of him. Pretty dramatic decline. One of the most underrated players of United treble winning season.
Poor Fernando Torres. During his time with Liverpool he was one of my favorite strikers in world football. During the 2008-09 season his partnership with Gerrard destroyed defenses in England and gave Liverpool a 2nd place finish, while with the Spain national team he also formed a deadly duo with David Villa in front and scored goals for fun as they got fed with tons of killer passes and through balls from the likes of world-class midfielders in their primes such as Alonso, Xavi, Iniesta and Silva. Sadly his form declined right after the 2010 World Cup, and I was waiting for him to be back in form for 2-3 years before eventually accepting the fact that he was past his prime. P.S. Where is Adriano Leite Ribeiro? That guy had the potential to be the heir to the all-time great R9 for his time in Parma and Inter, but depression, alcoholism and subsequent weight gain sadly ruined his career. Imagine if he actually fulfilled his once great potential together with Pato (whose career takeoff was sadly halted by tons of injuries) and eventually partnered Neymar in front - that would have been really deadly!
Declining bc of injuries is not a DRAMATICALLY decline, and btw some player here aged and they reached already their prime and acheived something if not all thing example torres, you could have included players with high potential who never made it, like ballotelli, gotze, quereshma, and so on
You guys missed Sebastian Deisler here. A sad story about a great player that ended in knee problems and depression before a young career end at bayern.munich.
I agree with all of them but especially Torres, he was one of the best strikers I've ever seen play he really had everything but the injuries just kept on coming...sad ending for him ; (
Mateja Kezman 38 and 40 goals in last seasons Dutch Eredisvie, 7 for Chelsea, 8 PSG, 2 FC Zenit, lastly believed being active in China and Belarus with nil goals.
Wayne Rooney is a different story. He was a near world class player at age 16 and 4 years later he was a world class player. He spent 10 years at the top playing world class football. He was different from other players. Other players start at 20 and play at the top of their game until 30. Rooney simply had a different timeline. 2004 - 2014.
Rooney peaked too soon, it's true. On the other hand, he was one of the greatest and most complete 18-19 year old footballers in history. Pele is the only superior teenager I can think of.
Remember how good Adriano was before he threw it all away! Had 99 shot power on PES back in the day! Lucky to escape the list 😂
Soccer AM
-Center
-pass to Adriano
- run fast past a player or two
-shoot with full power as soon as you see the penalty box
Pes 2006!

killercaos123 And Pato
killercaos123
Ganso. Remember when he was the next kaka.
I don't think Alex turned bad. I mean, he played well in every team he was on. He didn't make to 2 WC due to injuries.
Wayne Rooney went from scoring 34 goals a season to just 7...ouch!
Football Daily I hope i don't end up like him
Marcus Rashford Are you real
Dantheman //DTM Are you a spastic
+Marcus Rashford lolololol
The baldness gave him his powers.
Ah Diego was once a Fifa Legend of the game with his free kicks 👌
FIFA 13 with Reus and Esswein at ST and Diego at CAM. 👌
You're Not That Guy
I bet you wouldn't say the same thing about people that play Football Manager.
You shwantz.
RavB40 yeh he was in FIFA 13 I signed him paying 55m
You're Not That Guy Obviously because anyone who plays FIFA has no knowledge of real life football. Even though the only reason someone would get FIFA is if they actually enjoy Real Life Football.

Should be here over Adebayor
Gigi Lentini and Tomas Brolin also come to mind
He more just fell apart. Sad really. Never forget that weird move to Roma.
Dan South One of the best strikers in the World around the mid 2000s...
you're right the majority of these guys careers didnt go downhill all of a sudden anyway. Kaka, Gourcuff, Essien etc. were down to injuries. If they going to use that as a benchmark Brazilian Ronaldo shoulve been number 1, or even perhaps Maradonna.
Micheal Owen should be on here
If it wasn't for his injuries kaka would have won more ballon dor he is great #never4get/greatness
Rooney didn't decline
he aged
CrikeyItsSpikey nah he got hair plugs
Whereas Zlatan has gotten better with age.
CrikeyItsSpikey yes he has but it was age
i know but it was a joke
as if
Is this just 10 footballers who got injured?
(exept rooney)
Odd Harald Auglend yeah you're right
Odd Harald Auglend Rooney didn't get injured. he aged.
Well, Rooney did have a bad spell with injuries in his mos recent few seasons. But ultimately Rooney was just an early bloomer, and his body gave in; just too slow now.

what about falcao?
Loki Hoody He's picking up some form again. Not as class as he was but he's still got some time to pick up more
same with Ballotelli
Loki Hoody Idiot
Jackson Martinez is a more significant case. He disappeared after just half a season in Atletico lol
Torres does, too though.
That is why Ronaldo and Messi are the greatest not because they are the most skilled, but because of their hard work which leads to consistency.
Jpk Channel do you know anything else except Ronaldo and Messi?
Where's Michu
ashley rodrigues I don't think one season wonders count.
Godly God Ahhh ok thanks
ashley rodrigues
He is one season wonder
Yeah let’s leave Michu out of this these guys just didn’t want it Michu was doing everything possible but that injury really messed him up
essien was sick in Chelsea
I was about to comment the same thing
goetze
Of course it's not his fault, but that doesn't change the fact, that he had the potential to become one of the top 5 players in the world...
Sanganozus I'd say him too, especially aster scoring the winning goal for Germany in the world cup...
goetze has a disease that why

Bigga
He was good in 2013 though. His season was better than Neymar's imo.
Bigga just because he didn't win trophies doesn't mean he wasn't a sensational player!
***** am I supposed to feel sorry for you?
Bigga its because the Samba king loved to party instead of train like Messi and Ronaldo.
He did great in Libertadores for Atletico Mineiro here in Brazil. But desconsidering this, it went really downhill.
Hatem Ben Arfa was a brilliant prospect, Ravel Morrison and Woodgate fall under this title as well!
NUFCTANTI no one knows what Ravel went through / is still going through so you would expect the decline if you knew what happened so stop talking!
Kiz Dog01 What exactly did he go through?
As a liverpool fan we rate Arshavin lool
Things I have to do today
1. Go to class
2. Sleep
3. Eat
4. Watch youtube videos
5. Memes
6. Arsenal
Coors Light I know the joke but this just doesn't make any sense
Coors Light so 6th you watch Arsenal videos?
To be fair Adebayor didnt want to go to Man City, Arsenal wanted money more than having him & Adebayor just didnt fit into any other squad after that
GiBBaNa HD dab
GiBBaNa HD cringe
ryon fagan look up the meaning of cringe & come back to me you fool
Rodney’s decline was absolutely embarrassing, especially with his power trip while declining
Rooney is legend
Gabriel Stojovsku was
How can you used to be a legend? Once a leg always a leg.
Harry Rivas Once a legend always a legend
Ianique Chantre so he is a legend by how he is playing right now or does he suck now and still a legend
Gabriel Stojovsku He's not a legend
He's love, he's life
Honorable mentions : Adriano, Robinho, Hleb, Song, Gotze, Veron, Anelka, Soldado, Owen, Mutu, Cassano, Giovani Dos Santos, Drenthe, Recoba

Ronaldo was the best but Rooney was more decisive because he stayed there for 13 years.
I support man City but I wouldn't say Rooney declined it was United who declined and sadly took Rooney down with him
Diego scored a beautiful goal vs barca
Loïc Parisius messi scored a beautiful last minute game winner goal vs Real Madrid
Gianluigi Lentini should be on the list. He was at one point of time the world's most expensive player and had the whole world at his feet. His incident in 93 caused a really sharp decline. Tomas Brolin is another name that comes to mind.
Lads you've got to stop saying 'spunked' so often. It's getting a bit weird.
Clapton Ultras Mate You Just Spunked The Comments
Without a doubt Ronaldinho should've been on this list. He was pure magic, nobody could do the skills and tricks so effectively like he could. He was the best player in the world up until his final season at Barcelona and it was all down hill from there.
Rooney costs us £2.5M per goal per season, whereas ronaldo costs real Madrid £520,000 per goal.
Noor Hussain Rooney can't reach 20 goals per season nowadays.Ronaldo scores 50+ for what 6-7 seasons.
Noor Hussain playing against teams like osasuna😂
Rooney is more of a midfilder in the last few seasons. Adebayor is on realy good form right now
Ricardo Quaresma in the most irrelevant league Turkey
People will try to deny it, but Manchester United have had the best strikers in Football history. Van Nistelrooy, Cristiano Ronaldo, George Best, Wayne Rooney, Dimitar Berbatov, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Sir Bobby Charlton, the list goes on. Try and call me wrong.
Mr Thundercunt That's funny because half of them aren't even strikers 😂😂😂
inzaghi, schevchenko, gullit, van basten, ibrahimovič, crespo, baggio, i think ac milan trumps united in that position, and cr7, best and Charlton are not strikers
Kieran Ross attackers/forwards/strikers/goal scorers there all the same things
Mr Thundercunt Eric cantana
Kieran Ross they're still attackers are they not??
essien was also playing at panathinaikos

What about Messi and Neymar Jr?
lmao
nailed it as always well done
Where the hell is Ronaldinho? you put Kaka in here yet didnt include Ronaldinho...kaka was blighted by injuries and probably the most devastating moment for me as his fans..he's my favourite player but sadly injuries killed his career..but unlike Ronaldinho, he used to party so much after he won it all..tho it's very pleasing to watch him play but how I wished he could stop partying and drinking so he could be in his prime for more than 8-10 years just like Messi and CR..damnnnnnnn
I feel your frustration! Ronaldhino was among the best just because of his crazy talent. Dedication would have elevated him to The Greatest Ever!
i cant help but crack a smile every time Joe says spunked.
Adebayour:The Arsenal legend that came to be.
Kaka had lot of injuries in Real Madrid but was sensation in first stint in AC Milan.
Essien actualy didnt go really well in Indonesia despite he is a "big name" pretty sad for him
randy dwi A lot of factor actually is.. first of all how old is essien???.. Essien was played in grade A++ pitch for more than 15 years and suddenly he play for C grade pitch.. the weather.. new language.. a lof of stuff
Please do an XI on the most trophy decorated players in the game!
I'm going to watch Toronto FC vs Orlando And I'm going to see him
Michael Owen, Owen Hagreves, Andry Shevshenko, Fernando Torres. When did you start watching the game.
Torres; (((
"When Juve come knocking you don't turn them down." 2018-2019 summer window Patrick Van Anholt turned Juve down.
Jack Wilshere
Hit the nail on the head with Fernando, he was never the same after South Africa.
No Ronaldinho? Probably the biggest thrown away talent ever.
and still top 15 of all time winning every single trophy there is to win but yeah he could have achieved more
Michael Owen seemed like an obvious choice went from ballon d'or winner to a man plagued with injuries and never reaching the same heights after his move to madrid
WENGER ruined Arshavin!
Mujeeb Ahmed Arshavin ruined Arshavin
Mujeeb Ahmed Wenger ruined arsenal
I TurnR I he has now , but looking at his history: *he is arsenal*
Sk672005 _ he needs to move on now and prove himself in a diffrent league
The funny thing about Torres is that as soon as he got injured and on his way down, he pretty much won everything.
What about pato?
Football daily can't make a video without having United in it.
At least Rooney’s hair came back...sorta.
Justin Abernethy he got a hair transplant 😂
joe how come you dont do transfer rumours anymore ?
wazza a fucking legend
Anderson never reached the heights that most other players on this list did
Instagram sent me cause I still haven't found Kante
Rafaël van der vaart. Played @ real Madrid and is now a benched player at midtjylland
It's more of that Rooney got dropped and was put in the midfield. Yea his form dropped but it wasn't just because of him. Subscribe to me for the latest Daily Football News!

still hoping for a comeback

Got to remember that Rooney went from an ST to a CM
At least Rodney's hairline didn't decline!
Rooney= best premier league striker of all time
Trova Nkyesiga Henry says hi
Hahahaha hahahah good one

TheRazrGuy LMAO what did he achieve he only
Trova Nkyesiga

Fernando torres had the worst downfall , I really feel bad for him
Dudes.... Diego is KILLING IT with Flamengo... wait and see
You guys missed Sebastian Deisler here. A sad story about a great player that ended in knee problems and depression before a young career end at bayern.munich.
I agree with all of them but especially Torres, he was one of the best strikers I've ever seen play he really had everything but the injuries just kept on coming...sad ending for him ; (
Literally still on the ad but still can't wait to see Fernando Torres on the list 🙃
NASRI SHOULD DEFINITELY BE ON HERE‼️‼️‼️
There is more chance that I get struck by lightning than football daily replaying to my comment
Andre Bonnick Your right!!
Kaka is still a legend! What a great footballer and what a great guy
Diego's wonder goal against Barcelona in the Champions League though, never forget
Can you do fallen stars/dramatically declined players XI?
kaka is just old now, he's killing it tho it the mls 2 goals in his first 2 games
Mateja Kezman 38 and 40 goals in last seasons Dutch Eredisvie, 7 for Chelsea, 8 PSG, 2 FC Zenit, lastly believed being active in China and Belarus with nil goals.
What's the background song name?
Andriy Shevchenko, Michael Owen, Owen Hargreaves
Another player Shevchenko ... brilliant at AC Milan and from Chelsea onwards from what I remember so may be wrong never got his form back
Wayne Rooney is a different story. He was a near world class player at age 16 and 4 years later he was a world class player. He spent 10 years at the top playing world class football. Torres did get Chelsea into a champions league final but I do agree he did decline after Liverpool
Nice picture of Zidane at Gourcuff's part
Rooney peaked too soon, it's true. On the other hand, he was one of the greatest and most complete 18-19 year old footballers in history. Pele is the only superior teenager I can think of.
Ask any Chelsea fan, Torres' goal against Barca in the Champions league semi-final makes up for his time with the club.
