People praising the new direction after AC Mirage should know that it was a side project for them. If we look at the future of Asssassin's Creed, they dont have plans to make more classic games. Players are loving the new games like Valhalla, and they are making good money for ubisoft. Common sense says they will continue doing that. Unless AC Mirage sells 8-10 million copies, after which they might introduce classic elements in more AC games. But then too, today's Ubisoft doesn't understand what real AC is, the lore has become over-complicated and adulterated with all kinds of shit. So I still believe that Assassin's Creed has fallen, atleast the original one.
Also I am not saying that you shouldn't play Odyssey or Valhalla, if you enjoy them then who I am to stop you. I just stand my ground that they are not what Assassin's Creed really is.

Finally! Someone who speaks the truth! The original essence of AC games has vanished. I still remember playing the original, and Altaïr is still one of the most badass protaginists for Me. Unfortunately, the newer games have taken a direction that is totally different. Alas...that is the bitter truth.
I have been playing Assassin's Creed game since 2012... and I can definitely say that Assassin's Creed 1-4 was the golden period for Assassin's Creed game series.

Newer Assassin's Creed games lack the basic roots however Mirage is a big comeback after those Rpg games but combat and some aspects still stand out on older ac games

I remember how AC 2 was this close to being the game of the year because it took AC 1 as base then innovated over it, added more than expected, polished the already established things, they added so much so that even after completing 75% of the game, the game was still providing new things to the players and on top of that a great story and great characters and perfectly directed and the final nail in the coffin was the music it was something else to experience AC 2 at it's prime, coming from school starting up the game then running through the rooftops of Venice and the music 😢😭😂

My most favourite is AC 3. Most fun AC game ever, combat, open world and environment, missions all are so much fun to play. I played it a lot in a game parlour on Xbox 360.

I grew up playing all the ubisoft classics like rayman,beyond good and evil and ofcourse Assassin's creed,i might be one of the few people who actually started playing from the first game ,the series specially altait and ezio is in my heart .after playing odessey and valhalla note- i pre-order both ,rpg sucks as hell the og players dont like rpg they like stealth hope they somehow make the game like they used to do
I was also an og ac gamer, liked the initial games, but the think is quantity matters.... as much as i loved old school ac's, i certainly won't be paying 4000rs for a 20-30 hr game, no waayyyyyy(except maybe black flag). Ac odyssey has a much fun gameplay and can easily put 80-100+ hours, makes my 4000rs worth it....

For me Assassin Creed is pure nostalgia, for me I personally love Unity , Syndicate and black flag but as you stated the facts i realized that its true yea the phase 2 trilogy doesnt give much vibes of the old ones but i feel mirage would be a very big game changer as it goes back to its roots I am very Excited to play Mirage ..i desperately want to play no cap but yea mirage can bring the old fans back

I loved Origins (My First AC Game) and now about to complete Odyssey which is just mesmerizing. I really loved the RPG.

Valhalla tried to make the series cohesive again. Without going into spoilers I can only say this that the modern world story is relevant again.. Even more so than the Juno plot..
I really loved Kassandra's wholesome personality plus the Combat of Odyssey is too good and Origins had one of the most powerful story in the series.
My favourite of all time is AC 2 obviously..

AC Odyssey is my favourite. All the scenery, lighting and Greek architecture makes me want to keep coming back. I have spent around 500 hours in that game only because it feels very immersive.

Releasing games consecutively within a year is not a good idea; it's better to take the time to develop and release the game at its best. Although it can be tempting to hype up fans with quick releases, it's important to prioritize quality over quantity. AC Origins may be my favorite AC game. I really want to visit Ancient Egypt, and even though it's not possible, AC made it happen.

My Favorite Assassin's Creed game is AC3. And Connor is my favorite character. I don't know why people hate him. But i like this for his focus and seriousness for his purpose.
Odyssey was a great one IMO I blended into the game for a year almost (cuz of the lockdown). Truly became a part of the Ancient Greece was like my 2nd home lol although as a guy who loves games like Odyssey & Origins with lot of stuff to do and to explore I am still happy that some fans are getting what they want and the series is going back to its roots

AC unity, for me is one of the best games. it was when Assassins creed peeked, yes it had bugs, but those didnt ruin the masterpiece of the game for me

It has revived. Ubisoft has tweeted recently that Mirage has been a success and it has got similar number of player base as RPGs and everyone is liking it. They thanked fans and congratulated Bordeaux team.

assassin's creed 2 is my most favourite game and favourite game forever.
For me, AC III was the best game ever made in this series. It came with the best storyline which was strong enough to keep the player focused and interested in the game. It had twists, emotions, betrayal, loyalty, love for land, the father-son clash, the battles, the courage and the determination to stand against the world's mightiest being just "a savage" or tribal North American, and a storyline mixing with the historical facts and actual historical assassinations. It was epic, man. And, yes, the outfit; it is still the best for me among all AC outfits. And how it ended was really heart wrenching. For me, AC actually ended with AC III, with the death of Desmond Miles. The later ones should have been given a new name.
