When does this gun ever not have a problem💀
it didn't for a year or so
Telesto should have a "days without incident" counter next to the safety one in the tower
@@mosesgunn3462Someone made one i think its called telesto report
There have actually been surprisingly long stretches of time where Telesto just... Didn't do anything weird.
Not again
Telesto perfectly embodies Bungie RNG.
Jake: It’s a bizarre gun.
Me: Why are you surprised by that?
telesto feels like it has reverse damage falloff like cerberus
Teleato's bolts stick to targets and then explode, sorta like explosive payload which doesn't have damage fall off.
@@leophantom8634 i am aware of how the gun works yes
Cerberous gets falloff. It's a wierd shape, less close, best at mid to longish range then falloff
I was thinking Full Court, but only on the projectile explosions - not on the impact damage.
The longer the telsto shot takes to detonate, the more damage. That's way when you shoot it far, you do more than when you're close
Thank you for the info! I had no idea
I was thinking that if they’re too close together (on a guardian per say) then when one of the telesto bolts explodes it breaks some of them that are on the guardian, hense less damage, and why at range the bolts each hit guardians, but I could be wrong
Hi telesto main here it is just pure random chance with bolt damage and such
"There's no way that guy just got sucked to death"

Everybody that plays destiny 2 knows this gun always stays broken no matter how many nerfs Bungie does on it 😂
Ohohohoho, those times when you could run Blind Well in less than a minute with it or send people to orbit due to the FPS going down to 0 😂😂
Telesto bolts sometimes bug out and blow themselves up causing less damage if they are all stuck to the opponent. Aim at their feet.
That’s what I was thinking that if they’re too close together (on a guardian per say) then when one of the telesto bolts explodes it breaks some of them that are on the guardian, hense less damage, and why at range the bolts each hit guardians, but I could be wrong
I used to use Telesto all the time for PvP and it's always felt like it was popping it's own bolts causing it do deal less damage. It's a strange but fun weapon.
Need a certain distance for the tracing to engage. Like aim assisted when your distance is what the weapon tracks and sticks to the targets.
Lego has a good video on Telesto, its the longest range fusion and as you discovered not good in short engagements.
I just remembered why I was subscribed. I used to watch your Halo 3 and Reach clips. Also the D1 content. Glad to see you still making great content
I’ve noticed whenever shots hit the ground and they run into them it dose more damage
Yall be forgetting that weapon has no master and answers to no one 🤣
I think the further the bolts travel the more powerful they become.
Man, i remember when this weapon had it's own event and bungie gave it different fire modes, and then they removed them for no reason, despite the fact that everyone agreed those fire modes made it better and fun
Bungie sure has a talent on removing content people actually like
Jake is so fried by trials he can't remember what happened yesterday XD
It's like built in full court perk
Yo! What’s the pulse rifle you’re using? Thing is a laser. Also haven’t watched your stuff since D1! Just got back into destiny again. Looking well man.
Telesto as very Wild yet controllable recoil. At range you’re compensating for recoil so the bolts land. Up close you assume the bolts will land and don’t try to control as much and so the bolts don’t land. Tier 10 resil also makes it more inconsistent
I'm starting to think that the distance traveled by the bolts somehow affect the damage.
If Destiny 2 was a gun = Telesto
I got the god roll midnight this morning and love your videos
that incident yesterday was my friend Ryaegos, Priestess of Telesto kicking ass with it against jake. im proud of the gremlin
Lol
does it just do more damage against distanced targets, or are the damage numbers the same regardless?
What is your piece of mind build Jake? I have P-motion and moving target
Can you please add a link for podcast so we can listen on UA-cam music? Thanks in advance.
It looks like the bullets that hit objects around the players do more dps when they explode than the bullets that hit them
So for telesto, all the pellets have to hit them at full hp. If you miss just 1 small pellet, it won't kill them at full hp
telesto has been like this for a long time, only the 3 shots thing is new.
One thing you can do to make telesto more consistent is to shoot from an elevated position AKA above someone.
also sometimes you want to shoot at the feet instead of the body with this gun.
if there is a barricade this gun shreds it and sometimes kills the person on the other side.
if you want to get long shots with this gun you gotta learn the recoil pattern, once you do its easy
It's my favorite pulse rifle for this reason.
telesto bolts charge while in the air so further away the stronger they are which is actually intentional to keep the gun balanced
I think it's because when you are close to bolts there's some concussive dampner so you don't die unintentionally also saving opponent. Only reason I can think of why ranged attacks work and super close dont
Telesto the Besto break the game more than the resto is NOT about doing damage its about sending a message 👍 👏 an the message is that you're THROWING
Damage fall off values are probably inversed causing more damage on longer shots?
Maybe the farther it travel the more damage
crazy thought but what if telesto has a property of like the sub munitions being an entity they coded it like impact casing or something so its direct dmg and not explosion,
so the submunitions litteraly stack over each other, and one hits the body, but the rest hit the munition and dont deal dmg to the target, doesnt explain why a single bolt cross map nukes tho...unless the full dmg of a burst is able to be applies per munition butonly when a single bolt lands/munition goes off
the wepon of 2k bugs has the weirdest coding in the lands
i'm a warlock who's trying to get into hunter more. What aspects and fragments are you running?
Basically anything that makes u beefier recovery/health wise.
Suros/ crimson
With sixth coyote or wormhusk
Arc hunter or solar with healing nade
Obviously invis is the best.
Stasis whisper of torment with Renewal grasps.
Probably same bug as original scatter nades. Something about the projectiles explosions destroying projectiles next to it.
What's your sensitivity set at normally
Why Moving Target? I get the strafe speed but the AA is at 90 already, with targeting mods there should be no need for Moving Tragets AA, right?
It's spaghetti code. I think telesto makes the game calculate archetype damage values, falloff, and explosion damage. The further you are, the more it seems like it overvalues the explosion and damage glitches the seen value. It's impact damage is all 1's but it clearly is doing more damage then it says when up close while the explosions are doing less depending on range. Because the impact is all 1's my theory is telesto is negative integering the falloff can't go negative, so it just does more damage with range.
gets kill = works
doesnt get kill = this gun doesnt work
I never realized this but HOLY SHIT MIDNIGHT COUP IS GINORMOUS
Seems like maybe the damage falloff is swapped. So the falloff is happening at close range rather than the distance. 💀
So the thing is the bolts explosion destroy the bolts 😂
So you have to spread them out just a touch but not so much that you have to actively think about it.
bro i was just thinking that i havent heard telesto doing anything wacky for a while now
plz whats the pulse rifle u were using plz someone give me it name
it had a issue before this lol I got it thought "this is dope" it was not and it went straight to the vault lol
I love that into the light is all about “banned weapons” meanwhile telesto has just been hanging out like “hey there buckaroo, how bout another ride”
Is it a resilience thing that makes it inconsistent?
Telesto is that gun that can make you pull your hair out or make you giggle with how it gets kills
Looks like it doesn’t do full damage unless the projectiles travel a certain distance
I'm a regular telesto runner (on my titan main) and you are doing it wrong - to get consistent kills, you have to consistently "hit and hope" . It's the only strategy. Don't aim to well or to bad, guesstimate then shoot that shot.
Your Welcome
Ah~ wouldn't be a Telesto Vid without the gank dawg
It's almost like the last bolt in telesto does a million damage. I swear if the final bolt lands you get the kill 😂
Jake would you like to try one of my rolls for the midnight coup
Ive been maining it for a while
My theory is its the bolt spread at range more bolts possibly hit the head and body causing a one shot kill.
Vs
Close range where most of the time its centered on the body or legs.
Thats just my theory but idk telesto gonna telesto
When dj was still employed? Is he? He came out years ago and said they removed a bit of spice from the recipie. When it was first released it killed in 1 blast nearly everytime
Resilience matters, the increased hp in sandbox matters, the range matters, and how many bolts hit target matters. Each bolt has min max damage multiplier.
The gun was unstoppable upon release and destiny couldn't really modify it. Its a baked in, cooked weapon. It was disabled for a time because of it.
Its a wildcard round now. I think thats how they got it to do a bit less damage.
You still get teabagged using it. People never forget
i was just wondering when this gun would break again
I ran into a team last night with all telesto…. I just wanna go flawless once 😔
I goes like
“COME ON! fight me!! 😼”
“but don’t come too close 🥺😢”
12:15 this is great example
first guy get hit ->alive but next guy die from furthur range
somehow, telesto has given itself full court
2:20 MY TEAMMATES IN TRIALS IN A NUTSHELL and I bet he was on fucking PlayStation too lmfao
whats the roll on your piece of mind?
How is he getting (3) in the mag on pick up??????????
Catalyst gives it deeper pockets
Hey Jake
Is it possible that they have a higher resilience on armor and that's why they are staying alive?
Probably its that when theyre all the clumped together, they destroy eachother
This is a certified telesto moment
Telesto is the "screw you I do what I want" of Destiny.
The only way I can describe using this thing is consistent inconsistency
Telesto does what Telesto does.
Round one and they are definitely heated!
isnt the telesto like a grenade kind of ans isnt it suposed to work as when the bullets hit him dirrectly it should kill them and when they are to walk into the they should explode idk cuz i havent played the game alot
Kinda, but the grenades are coded, or were coded as entities. Leads to lots of fun problems. Very fun problems.
Its bullet spread mixed with arial acuracy issues...the gun never knows where it actually is, and reponds like you're always jumping...and we all know how bag bungie arial acuracy is!!!
Maybe telesto has a time the bolts take to arm
Telesto as a concept exists beyond Bungie. It has become ontologically bound to the concept of broken. The gun works as intended. It's the game not being strong enough to cope. It will not be contained. The day will come when every universe holds its own Telesto, and in the hands of the wielder shall that universe be unmade. So it is written.
It seems like from this video that direct contact does tiny damage (like 1-10? per pellet) while the explosions themselves when on something else, do enough damage to destroy someone. So yes, I agree that the gun has a problem. It was probably nerfed with direct contact in pvp because skilled people such as yourself were using it to one shot their enemies. Can you imagine if you were to get just about an entire burst on someone who then runs near their teammates and they go off? It would not take out the one you stuck but their teammates would be destroyed, leaving just the wounded player left to take out! They would be like, WTF happened? Lol!
Tolesto has always been this good lol
Looks the same as always. Telesto has always been slept on. Also, the weapon makes sense your just not using it right, you need to pre-charge are corners and make predictions because the bolts are on a delay and you will die if you don’t. Another thing the Telesto wasn’t killing in cqc because you didn’t hit enough bolts.
did bungie change the radar or is he useing a filter or something to make it look like that?
this guy: Telesto has a problem!
me: What did you expect?
wait, 3 shots? my brother was only getting 1 sunday 😂
You need the catalyst
Since Destiny 1 I've always called this gun Telesto molesto
at 2:55 what is letting him see him though the wall?
The Void Aspect "Stylish Executioner" - defeating a supressed, weakened, or Volatile target grants inviz and truesight.
The truesight which basically let's u see ppl through walls
Oh my god not again. How many times bro 😂
nothing happened with telesto its been like this it has unique inf range potential with just spread the farther you shoot I have like 700 pvp on it after a friend of mine showed me it was good back in seraph love it for pvp and I think its very underrated
How do you get 3 shots?
catalyst gives it more
what about telesto with omnioculas i bet itd instakill almost everytime with volatile rounds
Days before Telesto glitched again:
0
Bro tried to use this thing recently but how tf is it an exotic anymore it can’t even kill a normal elite without a full mag
Lol did they just buff or Nerf my old main!?? #confused
It's like it has full court lol
Chance the title to "it has a Problem again"
There was a time when Telesto didn’t have problems?
just wait until you run into RockAndRollRick
Jake: Telesto sucks
_5 seconds later_
Jake: hehehe Telesto is evil
_5 seconds later_

Bro is a Living stan lmao
I’M BACK BOYS!!!
