Thorn is one of the most infamous and most used Exotics in the history of Destiny. However, since it was slightly nerfed, after receiving it's catalyst it has seen less use than it probably deserves. Hopefully, these Trials matches will show you that it's still an Exotic that very much deserves your time in Crucible. Enjoy!

I play w a paddled controller and I have given myself carpel tunnel from maining solar warlock lmaoo. Movement is just too good tho.

My first two game of trials I got hate mail today for not being good it was some really toxic shit so I clap back and told them to get better we both lost but my point is I’m trying to get better I’m a returning player and your videos helped to get me stoked to play again especially that video you put out the other day about the toxicity of trials when your just try to get better it cool though I like what you do bud thanks for getting hyped on the game again👊🏽
First time playing trials was a few weeks ago. I got a few hate messages 😅 but got better after learning the map. Some people are crazy toxic, though.
I used thorn the other day and thought I hope jake dose a video on it and now this happens
I actually main it 90% of the time in everything (pve & PVP, Gambit, raids, you name it) (I'm not good enough for trials and the asthetic of trials gear doesn't go with my fashion style anyway) and I use necrotic grips. To me it's one of those "it's as good as your ability to land your shots" weapons. Especially your crits and headshots. The only times I don't use it are when I want to try something new because using it gets boring. However I do find myself going back to it not soon after

Hardest part with following a gun meta is when it’s in the hands of players like Jake, who will make any weapon look OP.
Thorn is solid but only suits certain play styles
Revision zero has been a big surprise to me in pvp would recommend the two burst.
Light burst mode for me kills faster and easier than hard one
I use the 2 burst aswell, just feels better for me 👍🏻

I personally couldn’t care less for thorn in d2 because the poison doesn’t kill, the three headshots do. So there is no real point to waste the exotics slot on it
the point of Thorn is the burn is stops rez and you can track their movements through walls making it very valuable
@@Klaxo14 It’s not made for trials. That might be what people use it for. That’s not not its main purpose. Its purpose is to poison enemies & it doesn’t even do that

Thorn with strand warlock necrotic grip and glaive (yes a glaive) the melee glaive causes poison

Against low skill players sure. Against high skill players it's awful. You have to rev it up to make it any good but then your enemies can hear you before you go through any corner. You basically have to give away your position to get kills with it so it's very risky.
@ValiantNomad not even just high skill, tbh. I'm like average/slightly above average, and I kinda body anybody using sweet business. It feels like a free win if somebody is using it

Erstwhile PvPer, never Trials sweat; often solo-- here to tell you that on Strand Lock, Thorn is absolutely ludicrous with Grips+3x Unraveling Melee charges. Got me my first solo flawless on Shattered Throne. Pretty sure 1 melee plus 1 crit in crucible also = 10RES dead.

Depends where you shoot your opponent and if you have any buffs.
