Ambulance M76 ACSA Bruxelles

Une ambulance de l'ancienne société ACSA en urgence à Bruxelles en direction de l'hôpital St Pierre. Ce véhicule sur base de Mercedes Sprinter avec un caisson Binz/Kögel était essentiellement utilisé pour des transferts interhospitaliers médicalisés, souvent accompagné par un SMUR. Il disposait de sirènes allemandes à 2 tons électronique Wandel&Goltermann WA-3 avec deux haut-parleurs de 60W chacun et d'un deux-tons pneumatique 200W de type Martin.
Ein Rettungswagen des ehemaligen privaten Rettungsdienstunternehmens ACSA auf Alarmfahrt in Brüssel, Belgien. Das Fahrzeug auf Basis Mercedes Sprinter mit Kofferaufbau von Binz/Kögel wurde hauptsächlich für notarztbegleitete Sekundärtransporte eingesetzt. Es verfügte über eine deutsche Sondersignalanlage mit einer Wandel&Goltermann WA-3 mit 2x60W und einer 200W Martin Pressluftanlage.
An emergency ambulance of the former private company ACSA responding in Brussels, Belgium. This unit has been used mainly for secondary transports with emergency doctors. It was equipped with a german electronic 2 tone siren with 2x60W output and an air operated two tone siren with 200W.

I find it interesting that the siren never changes. British emergency vehicles will often change to a different tone when nearing a junction to grab more attention, which I think is very effective.

They probably switched off their radio for privacy reasons! 15 minutes is indeed a long time for an ambulance in a metropolitan area, but if if is a serious situation a doctor car with an ER doc and nurse would already be on scene within a couple of minutes! :)
