You can avoid single strand knots by washing (full rinse with product reapplication) more often. There are other youtubers who have said the same if you look but I can attest to that one tip myself. I have never gotten them; have Type 4 hair; and only wear wash and gos. I’ve been natural over 2 years starting with a two. I wash every 3-4 days, no exceptions. It gets steamed everyday in the shower (no cap) and always sleep on satin pillowcases.

Kenisha hunte I’m sorry, I was mistaken. I’m mixed and my African parent left me before I was born. I am ignorant of the culture. I thought the cut and style of the shirt reminded me of the 80’s/90’s. She didn’t seem to be offended by it nor did she correct me, so I think it is okay.

I did 6 twisted bantu knots after my wash yesterday & the result was a curly fro, lol. I threw my head band on & adjusted my fro & I actually like it. I'm slowly getting used to treating my hair totally different from relaxed hair as I'm transitioning. Congrats on 300k subscribers!!

I agree with you, I don't think i'll ever dye my hair root to end one color.. too much damage for me! I'm not going through that again! If I had to put color in it, it would be to my ends and only a few coils Lol it would probably be when i reach my goal length too.

Well no more wash n gos. I use to do them all the time but my hair is growing longer and I can't deal with the single stand knots anymore. It's driving mi crazy.
