I wonder if any off flavors from the yeast are contributing to the awefullness of them. If it is like us05, then it probably doesn’t ferment well at room temperature without pressure.
US05 recommended range is in the room temperature area. I've made many many beers with it at that temp. I'm thinking that the very low ph had a good bit to do with it, as a few folks have suggested to me.
The look on your faces.... GOLD!, well done team.
The Freezies is what UI suggested a couple of videos ago for suggestion of things to fermetn, but they are called zooper doopers in Aus
Gotta do a Slurpee brew... being in Winnipeg and all...
I fermented Mountain Dew - but had to adjust the PH first using baking soda. It ferment. I would not do the dew a second time.

Steeped a donut lol!
Th3.5pH on soft drinks. I think you may have to up the pH to 5.2ish so as to not stress the yeast. Great experiment though.
Great point!
Molson Canadian lol!
That's going to be known for a long time coming as one of the worst beers ever in your life Brad.
Big Gulps eh? Well, see ya later. 😂
Given that you are in Winnipeg it seems like a missed opportunity to use slurpees, Welp, see you later!
