I caught Cheryl one evening performing with Her Manhattan Transfer Jazz vocalese alma mater at LA's Los Feliz district Greek Theatre, a concert I didn't want to end & Cheryl Bentyyne & Co. did many encores that Greek Theatre top of N Vermont Ave evening...... in My vintage LA Los Feliz 'Neighborhood

Thank you! I was hoping someone would know who that sax guy is...what a fabulous sound. Sounds very much like the tenor solos for Linda Ronstadt recordings in the Lush Life sessions (Nelson Riddle).
Cheryl Bentyne is amazing: so classy. I suggest you listen to Mina, the Italian singer admired by Sarah Vaughan. Her rendering of this song is worth having a listen. Mina has grown old and her voice, no longer pyrotechnic, has gained depth of artistry. ua-cam.com/video/9vlAeo-paSs/v-deo.html
The voice is perfect, sensitive, but a record record session wasted by a pianist who plays for himself , forgetting his role behind a singer, and a sax player who is more a funky man than a Jazzman, ignoring the chords played by his collegues , and playing some vulgar effects that have nothing to be here, perfect bassist and drummer.
Love the delivery, clarity and spirit. B.
I can not tell you how many times I've listened to this and never get tired of Cheryl, the musicians or this gorgeous song!

Agreed. Like the more upbeat tempo (and more contemporary take) on this old standard.

I want to know, too. Great comping and superb voicings!
Great David ”Fathead”Newman on tenor sax.
