The cool thing about ocean spray is they are a coop owned by the farmers. When they got their website redesigned a few years back the farmers in the coop all had to approve of it :)
So cool to learn this. I love to eat Ocean Spray whole berry cranberry sauce year round. I just get a craving for it! Chilled in the fridge, straight from the can, yum. It's not only for Thanksgiving. Bless these farmers for their hard work and a bountiful harvest.

Lol you should talk about the giant spiders that inhabit the bogs and how they climb up anything to escape the water, including the big workers. Didn’t believe it until I saw a video, those workers don’t make enough.
so the plants grow in the dry field and then it is flooded under 2 feet of water. people & machines stomp all over the submerged plants to harvest the floating berries...eventually the water drains. how do the plants survive this and doTHEY produce the next years berries?

Bogman here by adding layers of sand over time helps keep the beds solid and also helps the vine focus energy on growing berries as opposed to more vegitative growth. There have been opposition groups protesting sand removal for use. I wish more people would research more
@@The_Muthias I would have been OK with a multi-paragraph response with a bit more detail, but I appreciate the answer. I assume the protest groups you speak of don't want sand taken from somewhere else and transported to the bogs for use in this vine-covering process?

@@tony98discovery yea, it's good
Omg my husband is the same way. When we do eat it, we have to get 1 extra can because he’ll eat it straight out of the can 😂
We’re so lucky that people decide to run businesses like this so we have a variety of food to eat.
Ocean spray has the best cranberry products out there
They took playing Harvest Moon to the next level.
Have you ever been to a cranberry farm?
I was expecting a drab informational like how it's made but this was expectedly chaotic and full of personality
Elementary school field trips are nonstop during harvest season. Great fun.
Most of them are grown in Wisconsin! We also use tractors and other equipment so there’s less manual work.
this seems like the most chill business
I never knew Ocean Spray was owned by the farmers. I will go buy some right now.
As someone who lives with a person who is absolutely addicted to Ocean Spray cranberry juice....this was actually kinda interesting.
this was the best ocean spray commercial I've ever seen lol. Also looks like a great job to work; very rewarding.
All I know about cranberry harvesting is wolf spiders. Lots and lots of wolf spiders.
Im glad I watched this. I grew up seeing commercials of the cranberries in water and really thought they were aquatic plants. 😂
Ocean Spray is so cool, this makes me happy :)
Grew up in the south shore, used to love bog walks and skating on the ice as a kid.
Are the cranberry fields near you large?
You’re making me homesick. I left Massachusetts in “82”
Haha I always wondered if those pools of water, that they stand in, were real like in the commercials.
I can even learn to swim in lakes that aren't full of cranberries haha
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
It’s not Thanksgiving without cranberries! 😋
Great to see how they harvest billions of cranberries
Thanks, all! Fun article and super informative
I used to play in the cranberry bog behind a place called outdoor world in Massachusetts seeing this brings back memories 😁
I've been in that bog! Very cool
I am glad they mentioned Wisconsin. :-)
We actually have 3 Ocean Spray Processing Plants here. :-)
And a murderer who worked for one.

Dan’s a good reporter. Carrying this channel
crazy how the field looks empty, then boom. That is a crazy amount of cranberry's in that little area.

Thank you! I always wondered how it all happened.
Thanks for sharing the experience
I just started watching this not knowing I had a bottle of ocean spray right next to me … crazy how coincidences always happen in word ways JAJAJJAA
Then you learn about how the spiders all float with the cranberries when you flood the bog and they all climb to the tallest thing around... you
I’m drinking them right now!! 🔥🔥🔥
All I Know is that Ocean Spray's Can-Grape Juice tastes like THE ELIXER OF GOD!!! So good...
How much sugar is really added because the ad says they don't but I know they do
do you know how much sugar they add
3:13 Last thing you want is springing a gasoline leak in the middle of your bog. Propane just turns to a gas, no contamination of the soil or water.
