My girls thought it was creepy at first until I said they weren’t headhunters anymore. I found it funny that the kids were breaking rocks because my kids love to do that, too. :) Such beautiful scenery up there!
It's a question of poverty and by that I mean the worse of its kind. Would you take care of stomach or education first. You can't see it just in one perspective my Lord
2 and a half hours of bumpy roads to get there from Mon but it's by far one of the most beautiful, scenic drives I've ever been on. It's an intriguing, remote village and it feels so surreal that you're standing in another country. The right gate of the Chief's house is India, while the left is Myanmar. The Konyak Headhunters used to display their conquered enemies' heads in front of their houses as a sort of pride. I've heard that the former headhunters have buried the conquered heads beneath their houses!
yep one of my favorite parts was the scenic drive...except when I was returning to Mon. I was crammed in the back of a sumo for 2hrs with barely any room to move my arms!
@@saviyou When returning our car stopped 3 times and the driver asked me to help pump a part of the car in the front so he could start it haha. Interesting experience but fun times. Wouldn't trade it for anything 😁
This one of my favorite India blog so far. Those villagers are very talented with all those crafts and wood carving. The mountain view were really nice. You should get some drone footage from up there. BTW why was the guy taking picture of the money?
Drone flying is illegal in India...my drone would have been confiscated if I tried to bring it. I guess they don't see Myanmar money too often? Thx for always supporting me Chrisco!
I don't know but Your fellow youtubers Harld baldr and Mr. Bald (bald n baldr) channel used drones in jodhpur Rajasthan. They usually visit India and there seems to be no problem in using drones. Love from Nagaland.
If you know history, Nagas are by-force- Indian, who doesn't need even an iota of recognition from typical narrow minded-egoistic- Indian like you ,who knows only cow, anti Pakistan, Lynching and rape..lmao
Savi you are soooo cool... You visited Nagaland... Which is considered as the Headhunting places area during those times... I am a Proud Naga... And I assume my forefathers were headhunters too... Cheers🍻

My first time to know of this ethnic group, reminds me of the hilltribes people of SEA. Yr film footage of the village is incredible, highly informative and beautifully captured. Children everywhere are always amazing. I doubt this remote village gets much foot traffic. Yet their small cottage industry of craftwork and art carving seem to do some business. is the village funded through other means? how did yr village guide (Longsha's brother) learn his English? how many people live in Longwa?
Lots of missionary work in Nagaland, documentation both nature and anthropology, a few big festivals throughout the year. There was a few other foreigners there and they seem to get a steady stream of visitors but not in great numbers until the big festivals. They live primarily off nature and don't pay taxes. Most trading is with Myanmar and Assam it seems.
English is our only offical formal means of communication ,it's the only offical language so everyone read and write in English among the literate . btw this village is at the most remote areas ,yet to be touched by modernization that's why the culture is still strongly preserved . very beautiful and rich culture ..one of my dream destinations .
@@jenao7334 one of my dream destination lol naro eman misa mishi nokowi. he should have come to mokokchung, every time the traveller goes to Mon and people think we are so undeveloped and still live a primitive life.
@@testingyou9125 I'm sorry but people visit those remote places to see our true tradition and culture not some Naga Korean culture that has become of some of our people
This reminded me a lot of my stay in the mountains outside of Nairobi Kenya. With the largest difference being 20 years of technology which meant most of the people in the area had never or very rarely had seen a mzungu (white person).
