Just wanted to drop a huge thanks. Caught your video while researching home brew. Picked up Mr. Beer and just cracked open my first home brew. Did the Bewitched, its freaking awesome. Thanks so much your post have started me on a fun and delicious hobby. Cheers
I think 2 things are happening with you stirring the yeast into the wort in the fermenter 1 you are hydrating the yeast, 2 you adding aeration to the wort both I think are helping the yeast even if only minimally
can i add the mr beer pack of dry orange peels to a standard refill? I am about to make a batch of the Bewitched and was wondering if and how to use additives.
I’m not sure that the Mr beer instructions are on adding them but personally I wouldn’t add them until after primary fermentation is done. Probably around day 6 or so. Cheers and happy brewing!
Well you can test with a hydrometer after ten days, if your measurement is the same for two days in a row then fermentation is done and you can bottle. If I add additional sugars or malt extract it generally takes longer to ferment. After bottling I try one after a couple weeks and if carbonation is not quite what I like then I wait longer
yep totally agree, they are way darker. Taste amazing though if you do them up right. This amber ale is really good. Going to keep one aside to see how it is after a couple months. Cheers
@@EsCoBrewing The Bewitched Amber Ale. Looking toward seeing another one of your vids how's the weather up there down here in Louisiana it's not to bad

Hi, just go to google and search 'grams to pounds' and a conversion will come up in the search results. Then type in the amount of grams I used and it will show you what that is in pounds. Cheers
After watching your video, I went ahead and bought the Bewitched Amber Ale, so thank you for the inspiration. I've noticed that you and I have a love for strong beers :) That said, I have started to realize that I need to be doing what you do just about every time you begin to create your wort, which is you adding your dextrose and your DME. I know me well enough to know that if I don't start bolstering the strength and at least the flavor/body of my beers, I'm going to start feeling like I'm making lackluster brews, so I am looking into buying a pound of dextrose powder and a pound of DME. I may end up always just adding that by default before long. In short, I don't want my beers to suck lol. I checked out www.graintoglass.com and they only deliver throughout Canada unfortunately, but they were awesome on their FB site, and they referred me to a site called www.morebeer.com. Can you recommend any bulk sites that ship to the U.S. by chance? Either way, thank you for making great videos, and keep up the great work!
Hey thanks for the props, and yes like the stronger full flavour beers for sure. Hmmm I really don’t know any other online brew stores that ship to the USA from Canada but if you do a few searches I’m sure you will find some great ones in the USA that have good reviews
When you squeeze the air out of the bottles and then cap you are creating a vacuum that's why your caps are so hard to get off. Love the videos. Did you ever end up doing a video on the white IPA that you were talking about in your Octoberfest video?

More beer is one of the best in the USA, I’d say go with them... keep on Brewing and have fun with it.
