another living legend, yeah!! thanx for sharing these greats displays of magnificience...THROUGH RAGING WINDS AND WEEPING SKIES I SAT IN THE LONELINESS OF SOLITUDE.
This is such a difficult song !!! I really never understand bands who persist on playing their high vocal Songs on the same tuning. Come on guys !!! Help the Singer a little bit !!!
i was there and spoke to Rob, i think a heavy cold and jetlag ruined his voice that day, with Candlemass at Roadburn he was awesome again, just as we know of him.
I'd love to see you try hitting the notes in this song. Go listen to the original, Rob Lowe is probably the best vocalist in doom metal, just had an off night apparently.
Unfortunately I believe that his signing abilities declined in the last few years he was still prforming :-( I attended a few gigs with Rob on vocals in 2007-2010 period (with both SA and Candlemass) and each time his singing was worse. Solitide Aeturnus show in Warsaw (the same that is on DVD) was awesome and he sounded incredible live, Candlemass shows ranged from good to somewhat mixed bag and this one was pretty disappointing. Nevertheless he was a great singer, I'd like to know if he is still in business or has already retired from singing :-( And what's exactly the status fo Solitude Aeturnus, that's the question too. They are not offically disbanded nor they are active in terms of gigs nor new releases...
Everyone's vocals decline as they age, not to mention that singing (and especially rough forms of singing) causes progressing damage to the vocal chords. In any case it takes guts, especially if he isn't with the style of the song anymore.
@@logrusso ever since he departed from Candlemass he's been doing a bunch stuff for various bands mainly session vocalist stuff and seems to have layed off the booze.

Defo not up to his usual standard,i think he needs to lay off the ale...he was awesome back in the day...this sounds like he's singing in the shower 😞
What about the new album? Or again have to wait 8 years as the album alone

It is. You have just made fun of yourself.
