    8:57 for an example of The Trooper sound. Set to 6th above and played the lower part in minor scale (I think) most of the fun is playing around with this thing.

    Thanks for this! I was already ready to give up on the idea of getting this pedal, since most of the demos sounded so fake.. But yours sounded great. Good idea to put the distortion before the harmonizer. I don’t know why, but it seems to make it really sound like two guitars. Makes no sense to me, but if it works, then it works.

      It's like sticking two guitars through the same amp. Would just sound messy. What your audience hear.. that's what you want a copy of. You don't want a copy of a clean then shove BOTH through the same distortion ..just gets messy.
      Use this live in the band for little flourishes (only downside is remembering to switch the key between songs!😂)

      @@mickeymoran1850 thanks, I read another comment you made below, where you explain this in more detail. It makes more sense now. I’ll experiment with the harmonizer in AmpliTube and see if this fixes it as well. I’m in the process of starting a band, and I wouldn’t like to share a stage with another guitarist, but I really like those Maiden/Lizzy type guitar duels. I would rather find a pedal instead of another guitar player :)

      Yeah amplitube is what I use for recording too! MesaTrans with the marshal jmp! Great tone for what we do! That harmoniser never quite tracked as fast for me...just missed a few bits... plus you can't take it live and this is only £95 when I got it. Have fun if you decide to get it. I know you will!

      Hello and thanks for your response. I use stomp boxes and for amps I use THU in my DAW. So basically there is not any physical amp in my chain. I noticed that this pedal does not work properly with distorted sound in mono mode. In stereo it shifts much better and clearer. Interestingly I used it in Stereo and then flattened it in mono in my DAW and the result was way more acceptable. So I think it is possible to get good sounds out if it but it is not easy and right out of the box. I just bought this pedal. I will buy also a ps6 harmonist today and will compare which one works for me and will return back one of them. I will keep you posted about the results. Anyways, thanks for your video. You are an amazing player. Hats off. 👍👍👍

      @@cyruss2946 Thanks so much for saying, that's too kind. Running this thing mono into distortion is always going to sound bad. It's like pushing two guitars through one amp and sound the same way one guitar would playing two notes at once. You'll have the same issues with the Boss unit running before the distortion on the amp because it's doing the same thing. Stereo works because only one line is going into one ampsim for each L and R side?. Stick a Stomp box distortion before this pedal in your chain and you'll notice the difference immediately!
      I use a Marshall rack amp live and this thing HAS to go in the effects loop (basically after the guitar signal distorts) or it sounds the same as what you're hearing. This is what a lot of other Demo's on this I found online don't really explain and think it doesn't do it's job.
      Short answer - Playing this INTO a distorted amp will sound kinda naff. stick it in the effects loop or have a good distortion BEFORE it to get the best out of it.

    I have octave harmonies in my songs. In every song I have to set key and scale or it does the right harmonies automatically?

    • @mickeymoran1850
      @mickeymoran1850 2 роки тому +2

      That's the only frustrating part. You DO have to set the key manually. I know there are vocal harmony pedals out there that can pick up guitar chords and automatically add the right harmonies for a voice but it takes a second. the latency would be awkward for guitar I guess.
      I usually write the key/scale on a set list next to each song and go from there. I'd LOVE a version of this that would detect chords from a 2nd guitar but still for less than a hundred quid (and you heard the results with playing pretty fast) I can't grumble. thanks for checking out our page!

      Yes you can. Like mentioned in the video, you might not get the best results if you're recording into an amp sim like GuitarRig or Amplitube or whatever plug in is in your DAW (mixing software). I have a distortion pedal BEFORE the harmoniser. Its better to harmonise distortion than distort harmonies.

    I guess the only thing that stops me from buying this is, if I plug into the pedal to go into my interface and then into my DAW and use a plug-in like Neural DSP for my amp, this is not the optimal way to use this. This pedal need to be behind a distortion pedal. I guess I could boost the plug-in with a pedal but that sort of defeats the idea of using a high gain plug-in

    • @kisskisskill404
      @kisskisskill404  3 роки тому +1

      That's a really good point! I guess I never thought of that because if it comes to recording I'd just record the harmony as an overdub. It wouldn't be as clinical as using the pedal. Taking your point Wayne I guess this is more of a Live pedal than a recording one. For recording theres a plugin called pitchproof for vocals that creates harmonies...its free so that might work with guitar signals POST gain.
      Thanks for checking out the video and all the best with your projects :)

      Are you running it INTO a distorted amp/amp sim? It will that way.. it needs to be AFTER distortion if using pedals or have it though the effects loop of your amp. If you're going through an amp sim on your DAW then.... just record the parts separately... once with the pedal trend trend 100% dry and again with the pedal turned 100% wet maybe?

      @@dcaz867 you can get SOME kinda okay sound out of this going into the front of the amp but it's not going to sound crisp and clean like the demo here.
