Disney Check Out Day, First Time On The Monorail, Almost Tall Enough For Roller Coasters & More Fun!

- In today’s vlog we start with day 2 of our Bay Lake Towers stay where we head to Disney’s Magic Kingdom! We really wanted to see if Jackson was tall enough to ride Barnstormer in Storybook Circus, he was so close but not quite tall enough to ride yet. We’ll keep checking back, hopefully he’ll be tall enough soon. Then we check out some more of the Halloween merch in the Emporium before heading back to the room for nap time. We take the monorail and Jackson loved his very first ride! He even got to sit in the Captain’s chair like a real monorail pilot! It was very special. We end the night with dinner from California Grill. They’re offering a to go option which was so nice to be able to take our delicious food back to the room. The next day was our check out day, we were so sad to leave but we had a really great time on this trip! We got breakfast and then headed out to EPCOT. It ended up being a super short trip but we did get to see the new 50th anniversary merch before heading home for the day. We hope you had fun on this little trip with us! Fun thing that happened today. When I was done with my shift at Cedar Point, my husband met up with me to hit some rides and he brought my Tim Tracker shirt to wear. I've heard "She's got a Tim Tracker shirt on!" Twice so far. You guys are loved everywhere.
Is anyone else both proud and a little sad that Jackson has learned the correct way to thumbs up? Lol....I'm proud of him for learning and developing, but his little pointer finger "thumbs up" was absolutely adorable. 💙💙💙

I just have to say, after years of going to WDW it is refreshing to see two parents who are truly letting their child enjoy the park. Also, you two are excellent parents. Jackson is going to grow up a wonderful human being.
I was just thinking this. As an Educator for 20 years, I just LOVE how realistic they are with Jackson. Example: "That is a Pantry and it is for dry goods." I also noticed how there is no "baby food." The green plastic tag on the stroller for Jackson to hold onto is so wonderful to allow for indpendence and safety. They should produce parenting videos. :)

when i was a kid i used to get a free ticket from the monorail captain and sit in the front during the ride. how sweet jackson got to see! 💖
They used to let us ride up front too. But they stopped it after 9/11. Not sure if they started it again after that. I hope they did and do again. It makes for great memories!

As someone in F&B, she is TOTALLY correct! Every qsr has a register and cast members willing to help you. I have to say, next to my own kids, he's the most adorable baby boy! 🥰

We made a lanyard shorter and pinned it on the kids shirts for the masks. Worked great😁 when they aren’t wearing them it’s not on the ground.

😁👏🏻👏🏻 Jackson in the drivers seat. When my kids were little it was a special treat to be allowed to ride in the car with the driver. Looks like that compartment for guests no longer there just driver now. How fun you got that video it will bring back happy memories. One time one of my kids left a camera and it was returned to us at next stop. When film was developed (yup I am that old!) the cast members had taken a selfie
I LOVE hearing of cast member surprise selfies with stuff. Some of the Disney groups I belong to on Facebook occasionally show photos where the cast member puts in a selfie or two. This was back when they could actually TOUCH guest cameras and phones. My favorites, though, were with a HS photopass Cast Member, who, when you asked him to take a family photo in front of the Chinese theater, would get a TON of guests to join in. The crowd was often HUGE and it was a hoot. Some people would actually wait until this Cast Member was onstage and get him to take their 'family' photo because it was such a fun experience. Unfortunately, I don't remember his name, but once they're able to do things like that again, I'm going to find out if he's currently working at WDW and try and be at HS for one of his shifts so I can join in on that experience.
So am I. I rode in Compartment for Guests when I was a Kid. It was really fun. Unfortunately, the pics got ruined in a Flood😢😢😢

Seeing Jackson always brightens my day!! Seeing Tim and Jen always brightens my day too of course - but Jackson just melts my heart!! I'm not crazy about the 50th merch. I like it but I don't love it. Tracker videos are always so detailed - and well-filmed - that I feel like I'm there! I've got to start taking notes during these videos of things I want to see and places I want to eat at for my next trip.

I want to preface this with, I know this is the weirdest thing to remember, BUT you also had an upset stomach when you ate those coconut meatballs from capt’n cooks. Maybe coconut in some form upsets your stomach or Disney coconut?? Idk but just in case that random fact is helpful! 🙈😂
Turn those “ear”-idescent items inside out for washing and don’t put them in the dryer and the heat transfer vinyl should last pretty well (though maybe not until the 100th anniversary)

Jackson is just a big ball of cuteness!! Funny thing about kids, they have these little things they do, like Jackson holding his finger up for a "thumbs up". You get to enjoy it, then they move on, now he's using his thumb but you miss the finger. Your happy to see him advance, but want him to stay little. This happens even MORE when they turn into teenagers, ugh. I have that actual Mandalorian shirt, it's well-made.

I used to work at a theme park. For kids that were barely under the height marks the parents would bring cowboy boots and switch the kid into the boots for Jackson's exact situation 😃

Awwww. Jackson is almost tall enough for Barnstormer 😊 Soon, cause kiddos grow like weeds (my son is 9 and is now 5'3"!!). I'm sure he (& you both) will be happy when Harmony Barbershop opens. Longish hair in this hot weather is not fun, but his curls are cute just the same. ❤ Love that you got to check out the front of the Monorail... We got to ride in the front one time before they stopped letting passengers up there. Glad you are having a good time. Hoping to come back once they start reselling annual passes (paying $400 for 3 people for a day in June about killed us 😭)...

Amazon is a great place to find tiny masks. We took our daughter last year when she was three (she's VERY petite), and a mask that fits well made all the difference. Pro tip: pay close attention to the specs on the masks for sale in amazon. They should have measurements included in the description to help get a good fit. But even the smallest ones are sometimes big for a two-year old. We ended up buying the smallest we could find and then sewing them down to the right size for her. Also, two words: MASK LANYARDS. Saves the day for little ones!
