I was just telling my husband that everyone knows about the parting of the Red Sea, but either people don’t know or just don’t grasp it when God parted the Jordan River. The LORD RESTED in the water!

Imagine the weight of the ark , and the burdened with it standing in the mud waiting fore the Jordan River to recede. Awesome transformation that GOD performs.

Miracles abound during the Exodus and the Jordan was a spectacular entry into the land promised land, yet His people would consistently ignore the miracles time after time. What a long-suffering patience God had for His people.

Amen~ 💚 I really love how at the end of each episode, Pastor David focuses our attention on how to address the chapter and looks at how it points to Jesus.
God’s wisdom through Pastor David is really a blessing, as I never knew this story this well annotated and with so many cross references across the Bible ( Psalms, Colossians, Mathew ) . Blessings in His Name, thank you for that episode pastor!
I just have a tiny question as I have been reading that the crossing of the Jordan river could represent the way how we cross from the old life into the new life ( as Israelites crossed from their old lives in Egypt and the wilderness into the land of Canaan ) - basically a reference to Christian’s being born again! Can you please share your views on this Pastor David.
    Thank you in advance 😅

Thank you for your kind words and support. Yes, it could be said that this analogy fits very well. It has also been said that the river is God's rightful judgement against mankind, which Christ, in His act of crucifixion and our salvation through it, was able to stop this judgement so that His people can cross and enter into a promised land (Heaven), just as God stopped the Jordan so the Israelites could cross and enter Canaan.
      Thank you for sharing this.
