What is up? Just know how appreciative I am that ya took the time to check it out and I mean that 🤘🤘🤘. Honestly, for my channel - this one has made me ecstatic for the number of views 🤣🤣. For real, I am still so grateful to see comments come in on this one regularly. Appreciate the support so much 🙏🙏👊💪
To me Justin, Sabbath ALWAYS lives. I just don't do a great Bill Ward Impersonation so I like finding these alternate versions that allow me to be me (to a point). That said, THANK YOU for watching and hit me with any other Sabbath remakes you dig 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
I absolutely love that song and I certainly have as big of an admiration for Bill Ward as it gets. He had so much swing, so much insanity, so much power and so much insanity in his playing........😲😲. Then on this particular version, I thought Zakk did a HELL of a job. And honestly there's another version in Zakk's world with Pride and Glory. I recommend anyone interested check that out too. He had Brian Tichy on drums for that and Mr. Tichy - holy shit can that dude just jam on a different level! Anyways, thanks for watching and sorry for blabbing. Have an awesome evening!!!
Hey Marcelo! Man, Bill Ward is a cat that makes me envious. I really, really mean it. He is a dude that I absolutely love and with anything I do that's related to him, I make a point to say that I don't play like him. I try to capture his general vibe but that's as far as I can take it. To me, he is one of the most unique drummers to ever sit behind a kit. I fully understand the discussion of the greats always has Bonham, Peart, etc. but in my mind - Bill Ward ran the show for the most influential metal band and he always did it his way. I couldn't respect him more. And at the same time, again - can't play a thing like him LOL!!! He's just so unique. Thank you so, so much for the kind words and for being kind enough to watch!
@@TreyBDrums I almost full agree with you. My disagreement is just for one reason: You're a great f*king drummer, your playing really plays hommage to Mr. Ward's legacy, my full respect and admiration to you
A friend just turned me on to this video... ABSOLUTELY Fantastic! I definitely hear pieces of "Good times bad times" and "War Pigs" which is a good thing... Awesome job, I'll be sure to watch more now!
Alan, what is happening my friend??? I sat here and was absolutely floored you heard GTBT - that was in my brain from beginning to end. And I'm not just saying that to say it. This tune has that kind of vibe to it where Bonham's licks can be inserted. I often hear the comparisons to Ward and Bonham but I'll always hear them as two different drummers. To say I'm a fan of both is an understatement LOL!!!!!! For real dude, this has truly made me smile to read that you heard elements of two songs that are near and dear to my heart mainly because that is the vibe I was hoping to give. Matter of fact, Zakk Sabbath has a War Pigs version and that might be kind of fun to try on here. Happy Holidays and I do hope there were some other tunes you dug or more to come that you will dig bro 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Nansen, I don't feel that way but THANK YOU for taking the time to say that. It shows how much you care an gives a guy like me some hope and confidence. I so, SO mean that Nansen. I appreciate the hell out of you my friend.
Well how cool is that!!! For real, that's one amazingly awesome comment! I can say that as a member of the closer to 50 than 40 club, drumming is something I still very much enjoy and I'm incredibly grateful to just be able to have people such as yourself who are kind enough to give me a place to perform. That's not bullshit either - I mean every word of it and hope it doesn't come off as BS speak. If you ever do pick up some sticks, get a camera going and give me a head's up so I can see ya in action!!!!!
Bill Ward...........that dude is in a whole different league to me. I can never put my finger on his style. It's this combo of swing, metal, crazy energy and just some stuff I can't explain. That said, I try to get in the ballpark with his vibe but it always has to be modified. So bro, I can't thank you enough for the kind words. I mean that shit so, so much Mike 🤘🤘🤘
What up man? Alright - so your name is the BOMB LOL Christoper Tired of BS!!!! I am so extremely grateful that comments continue to come in on this. This was one of those songs I wasn't sure about since it wasn't the Sabbath version but it was a blast having some freedom on the approach. Zakk's got a few of these and I am going to listen tonight to see what might be a good one to try next. The energy in this one was just a whole bunch of fun. Hope you have an awesome Saturday dude!!!!
Hey A C! First - thank you so, so much for checking it out and second, thank you even more for the support. I love that track (Zakk's version of it). And the original is nothing short of brilliant to me. BIll f'n Ward - what a monster he is. Appreciate ya my friend 🤘🤘🤘💯👊
What up Andy! Dude, I can't get Bill's feel on much of anything. I hold him in such high regard that it's insane. If anything, I'm copping a bit more of what Brian Tichy tried to do with this tune on Pride and Glory's cover of it. But I had issues with that too 🤣🤣. So please know that I greatly appreciate the supportive words and I seriously thank ya for checking this out! 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Awwww.............dude, that's humbling and incredibly kind. Thank you for both my friend. I hope there are other cuts on the channel that you dig Felix 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Yo my friend! Thank you so much for being kind enough to check it out and I so greatly appreciate the kind words. I've said it before on here but I'm just tremendously grateful anyone takes the time to watch. I couldn't mean that more. Hope you have a great weekend!
@@TreyBDrums It's your greatness! n confidence on what you play. That's true. We are young boys n into learning.... Would be really good to see your thoughts on our compisitions and lyrics (description tab) ua-cam.com/video/JTJtpck9z2U/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/oGweh9WwkjA/v-deo.html
Jesus - is he really 74? That's crazy. It makes sense but it's just one of those things where I think he's older in one sense and then it's like "He's really that old?" in another sense. Mr. Z is spot on in calling the man the Godfather. Hard to argue with a career such as his. An amazing performer and his contributions to the genres we all love - hard to measure to be honest. Appreciate you Vincent!!!!
What is up!!! Greatly appreciated. Holy shit, went over and those videos from the Roxy WOW! The footage I was watching was from '10 and at that point I was out of the game drum wise. But THANK YOU for sharing those! And also thank you so, so very much for the support my friend.
Easily the BEST drum cover of the Wizard on UA-cam. And I search a lot. The drums are the primary instrument on this song and no one I've found captures the effort and work involved in this tune. Outstanding. Especially the 2 cow bells, everyone leaves those out. Sabbath's drummer was probably the most accomplished musician in the group and this song really captures it.
In prepping this, I listened to a combo of things. One that I really focused on was Brian Tichy's version of this with Pride and Glory. Tichy is a world class cat to put it lightly. Brian did a very Bonham / Ward hybrid. I'd encourage anybody who digs this tune to listen to that. Anyways, point being, Brian's version gave me some ideas but I wanted to find spots in fills to let both feet fly. To me, Bill Ward is possibly the most underrated metal drummer of all time. I cannot overstate how strongly he changed the drumming game. Have an awesome weekend!
I'm glad you commented on this because I need to get to work on doing Zakk Sabbath's version of Sabbath Bloody Sabbath. I enjoy it too. DAMN I thought they really did a great job on this. And it's the second time Zakk has done it. Pride and Glory absolutely crushed this tune (Brian Tichy is a monster bro)
Good to see you in the comments bud! Yes sir, we got us a foot cam rolling in this one LOL!!! Not that there's anything crazy going on but it's just a funky track and I thought the footwork angle would be a fun addition for this one. I sure appreciate ya my friend! Just a sincere, sincere thank you
Hi there! First and foremost, thank you so very much for being kind enough to check it out and second, I can't thank ya enough for the supportive words. I want to say Joey Castillo handled this studio cut for Zakk but obviously the credit always goes back to Bill Ward. Mr. Ward is on my Mt. Rushmore of drummers (and I can't play a thing like him LOL!). Have a great weekend and again, my sincere thanks.
I loved - and mean absolutely LOVED putting that together. If you asked me to play it now, the fills would be entirely different. If you asked me to play right after I played it, the fills and approach would be different LOL! It's just such a funky and BEAUTIFUL song Louis
I sure, sure appreciate the kindness. I genuinely am so grateful this vid continues to get comments. Means a lot. I'm going to go back and listen to a few other Zakk Sabbath tracks. This was one where I had the luxury of being able to hear how different drummers like Brian Tichy had done it and I took a little from this one and that one while still keeping the vibe as respectful to Bill Ward as I could (even though I just do not play like him LOL!) Thanks again. Have a great weekend and so sorry I'm running late on my reply.
Yo Victor! Man, I can still listen to the original and just sit and go 😲😲😲. Bill Ward makes that cut so damn funky but so killer. I just hope this hangs with that mastery. It's definitely a different angle than Mr. Ward but I thought Zakk and crew did a hell of a job covering this one. Thanks so, so much for watching and commenting! 🙏🙏🙏🙏
This one the best satisfying covers iv seen to any song on youtube all these million subs drum channels need to watch an learn cant believe you are not at million subz . I was here expecting to see a normal cover of the song but holly smokess dudee. You Killed every single chop bro.. amazing !! and sound engineering is top notch the kick bass sounds so goood ! Great work brother !! Post moree pleaaase
What up my friend? Well that's incredibly kind and I can't thank you enough - for real! I truly am just happy anybody takes the time to watch. As drummers, in live or studio settings, we all work for the band / artist / act first and then try to find our audience & approach within that. On here, I look at it the same. Just try to let the song be the feature and hope the approach resonates with folks. In terms of subs and stuff, I'm bad bad grateful for the people who have subbed. This is just another way to perform for me and it's turned out to be really enjoyable. Reading comments like this, I'm a happy camper friend. Feel free to throw out suggestions on tunes bud! And I'm glad you commented on this one because Zakk Sabbath has a version of Black Sabbath I f'n love & I need to get back on that one. Seriously, can't thank you enough for the incredible kindness.
Joe, what up bud? Well, first and foremost - thank you so much for being kind enough to watch and second, I can't thank ya enough for just watching. Really do mean that bud. I'm still really grateful this one gets views and seems to connect with folks. I remember this one and N.I.N. Perfect Drug from that time frame. Both were outside my comfort zone in the sense that I needed to study on an approach for them. Anyways, sorry for blabbing on - appreciate you and have an awesome weekend!!!!
Bro! This is about my 5th time watching this, I find ne, amazing shit every time I watch it. I can't stress enough how freaking awesome I think you are! You seriously need to be on tour, major record label.... I would seriously pay $80 to watch you play covers for 3hrs..... I'm hooked
Dale man, that's massively humbling. Ya know, as much as I'd like to tour - I'm growing more and more at ease with my time on here. It doesn't take the place of playing live so don't get me wrong but I'm honored that people actually watch on here. I'm honored that they take the time to comment and I'm honestly humbled by the whole deal. I say all that just to say that what started out as a way to just play has turned into an outlet where I will always try to put forth just as much effort and energy as I do in front of a live audience. 🙏🙏🙏
@@TreyBDrums you have me thinking of starting my own channel, but performing solo acoustic covers (I used to play all over central NY as a one-man acoustic act). But, I can't handle, 80% of the crowd with their face in their phones, my entire show. Can't beat'em, join'em!! Be what's on their phone!! I already put two on FB (under the same name, if you're interested in watching me jam)
What is happing Jeff! Mr. Ward is always in my top 3 if not my favorite at all times and I cannot say I play anything like him on my best day. He is such a part of the Sabbath sound to me that I can't hear them with anyone else. I absolutely loved things like Speak Of The Devil where Ozzy did solo versions of the Sabbath classics but if I want to hear the real deal Black Sabbath, I want to hear Bill Ward. For that reason and that reason alone I put a disclaimer on any Sabbath track I try which says "I can't play like Bill Ward" 🤣🤣. He's an amazing and incredibly innovative dude that changed the game. Have an awesome weekend and my sincere thanks for the like, the comment and the sub!!!!
Yo JIM! Buddy, I'll take any positive support I can muster up LOL! Incredibly kind of you to watch let alone leave positive words. I do not claim to have any incredible ability to chop up a vid with mind boggling whatever but what I enjoy is staying on point, giving it a live feel and hoping people are entertained. So with that said, I cannot thank you enough for your ultra kind comment. Have a great weekend my friend!
Marcus dude, this is one of my favs by Sabbath. This one, Fairies and Symptom. But after doing Fairies on here with Sabbath music, I've learned once and for all - I've got to find other versions of their tunes. I just can't get that Bill Ward vibe but I love to do my own thing with 'em. Cannot compliment Bill Ward enough bro.
@@TreyBDrums I hear ya because I'm having a hard time finding music that won't have faze issues once I've pulled the drums. 25 grand of equipment and I still sound like crap because I am not an engineer. Plus I'm old and retarded.
Dude, your version kicks ass, so no need to compare. The performance, intensity, sound and entertainment value is top-notch. Every great drummer has their unique attributes, and snips of their influences show in their unique style - you, my brother typify this quality. I'm always entertained by your channel, and this cover totally satisfied. Just don't keep me waiting too long in-between uploads, I almost went into withdrawal. There's only so many top, talented 'tubers posting, and I find myself scanning the list daily to check out the latest offerings. Best to you, keep 'em coming!
Trust me Daniel, I have an almost obsessive side to maintain the weekly uploads. And I hope I can do so. But the most important element is the viewer so thank YOU so much for caring and offering support buddy.
And Daniel my friend, I can't tell you how very much your comments mean dude. I really don't know what to say on things like this except to tell you I sincerely thank you. Just for being kind enough to watch in the first place but to offer that kind of support........it's tremendously appreciated.
Hey Christian! My friend, thanks so, so very much for checking it out. I had an awful lot of fun playing around with this one. But the kind words mean the world bud!
Yo Preach! Dude, I still bow to Mr. Ward. I was introduced to all these songs in a weird way. All the guys I was playing with were the ones that grew up on the originals but in the 90's, most everybody wanted that updated drum sound so I just used the original tunes to learn structure. Hindsight being 20/20, I would go back and drill down on that original vibe. Ah, is what it is man. I hope you're doing great man and I still say that Driven cover was A-W-E-S-O-M-E! Gotta head over to see if I've missed anything bro. Thank you Preach. Bottom of my heart, thank you man.
What is up Evyatar! My apologies for the delayed reply my friend. I greatly appreciate the support and kindness my friend. As a matter of fact, I'm super glad you took the time to comment on this. I need to back up and listen to that Zakk Sabbath record on here and see what else they covered. I thought they did a great job on this. Again bro - thank you so, so fucking much 🙏🙏🤘🤘🤘🤘
AGREED 💯. Trey is pure heart, passion and entertainment. This format robs him as other drummers get by on marketing. Trey B cares about his viewers and his playing.
Oh me and you both 👍👍👍. I think it's an aspect that doesn't get the attention it should and he's just such a major part of their sound. Bill Ward is a heavy drummer but still had a swing and vibe to his playing that was beyond unique. And as important as any of that, we knew how to insert his personality into his playing. His fills are HIS fills. I often hear the Bonham comparison but I just think Ward and Bonham are two different animals. MUCH appreciated my friend
Bro, thank YOU for being kind enough to watch. I swear, you have some of the most creative videography I've seen. I look forward to ANY content from you and I mean that. The 2020 As We Know it, that's just stellar work man.
What up Gabriel! Went over and checked out your War Pigs cover - TIGHT dude! Super nice work on that. Thanks so much for the support friend. I can't play like Bill Ward for shit but I still love covering Sabbath and consider him one of the best. So these alternate versions come in handy LOL! Have a great weekend man.
Chris dude, I appreciate it. Hell bro, I MORE than appreciate it. I told GimmeMoe same thing I'll say here, to move things forward on here, I've got to find a happy medium to switch over to more improv / insert your own thing jams. The next one scheduled is another note for note but I've played it 15 different ways. Still, I admit - I enjoy the freedom when I can find the songs that provide it. I know from your playing you can understand. We've both been in setups where the artist or act wanted it played a specific way but we heard it our own way. Anyways man, just thank you. The most sincere thank you I can type.
@@TreyBDrums , no worries man! Oh yeah, I know what you're talking about! Some guy gave me hassle for the Black Crowes cover that it wasn't 100% correct?! Get a life dude! Haha! Have a good one! CT
Aw man, I just appreciate you checking it out. Didn't know how this would be received but I hope it turns out alright. I enjoy this approach SO much more than just spitting out stuff note for note. Not at all saying I accel at it (LOLOL and edited because I misspelled 'accel') but spontaneity is so, so much more enjoyable. But.......I did try to remember the cowbell! Man, the interview on your channel is so heartwarming. The latest cover was A-W-E-S-O-M-E Eric!
Love this and watched it on repeat last night. Brilliant energy, enthusiasm and excitement. Love all the variety. There just isn’t enough drumming like this in the world these days - probably why music has become so dull in many areas.
Dude, just thank you for being kind enough to check it out let alone share the post. Incredibly nice of you Chris and I mean that shit bro. Subbed you right back. I had no clue you had as much content as you did! And it's all stuff I'm digging man
Brother to brother you are very welcome you ARE one of the very best drummers hands down bro amazing and thank you Trey I had quit playing for many years and just three year ago I picked it back up and I've never been happier 😊 maybe in the near future we can jam together maybe record a tune together 😀🤟🏼😎🤟🏼🙏🏻
Brian man, the support........I really won't do an adequate job expressing how much it means. Man, I'll give ya a few to check out. Pride And Glory's version of this - Brian Tichy rips it a new ass. I still personally love Aldridge's take on it when they covered it for Speak Of The Devil. I figure you've heard Tommy Aldridge but I do recommend checking out Pride and Glory too. Tichy is a bad, bad man dude. Have an awesome weekend Brian!
Cool as hell of ya to say and please know how very much I meant that dude. So sorry for the delayed response. Working stiff anymore and it's a bummer to run late on replies. For real, thank you and hope there are some other tunes on here ya dig. Feel free to throw out suggestions. I read 'em all (or certainly try to 🤘🤘🤘🤘)
Shit John, I sure appreciate it man. Straight up, I've clunked this one live a time or two. Granted, I "might" have been drinking in some cases but in others, I was thinking ahead. And even in this setting, I had to get 4 takes on it to get one I was OK with. I admire players who have fills for days. I'm certainly not one of 'em. But, I enjoyed this one for the simple fact I sat down and didn't try to remember anything. Just keep it fun and try not to do the same exact fill twice HAHA! Appreciate ya so much bro.
Yo Adam! That Tauren Wells tune - your snare.............DAMN dude! Just incredible. Appreciate you my friend and thank you so, so very much for the support bro!
Jesus H Christ. What the Pasta Fagiole was that masterpiece!!! Damn dude. Loved watching the feets specially the hat foot. I'm hanging it up and moving onto the skin flute.
All I know is thanks to this comment, I'm SO going to Fazoli's for lunch. Pasto Fagiole with bread sticks. Fuck yeah. Man Eric, quit. Just thank you man. You can do any of this shit and you know it dude. Like I said in other comments, I've clunked this one real damn good live MANY times bro. Appreciate you!
I give the credit to a combo of Bill Ward and Zakk Wylde. Bill Ward played in a way that I can't replicate and Zakk Wylde gave me a different way to do it LOL! Thank you my friend
So, I've watched, drooled, and thrashed over this video at least 20 times now. I get ever so maniacal upon each passing. I'm a loyalist, and find "mostly" the originator (Mr. Ward) would be the the hands down executioner, but man... you found it/you own it! I could go on for a winded novella on how much I love the sound capture. Just enough pro, just enough room. I'd love to have a jamb with you, but don't bring me anywhere near that snare as I would surely man soil it with full prejudice.
Anything that Bill Ward has done - man, I can't ever make folks understand my appreciation of what he does. He's such an iconic and unique drummer. As for trying to cover him, he had enough swing for 15 drummers and I'm only guessing that came from his appreciation of big band drummers? I can't swear to that but I come from a whole different world and I just can't cop his vibe. So I add a disclaimer on anything "I still can't play like Bill Ward" 🤣🤣🤣 but I love Sabbath's catalog so much I just try to always be respectful. So I can't thank you enough for this downright amazingly cool comment 🙏🙏🙏
Fantastic discipline to pull back the reigns to keep from rushing that, I could tell it was hard. I appreciate your skills Trey, every performance is a free lesson! 🍻🍻🍻
Yo GGDC! Great ear dude. This one is easy to rush. Hell, it's easy to drag for that matter. I said it in another reply on here but I don't know how many ways I've clunked this one live over the years. But I've clunked it good. There was one set up though and it turned into a 10+ minute jam. Harp was extended out and the harmonica and guitar would trade off. I flat out did run out of fills LOL! Just thank you for being so kind man. I'm still so honored people even watch. Hope you have a most excellent Sunday my friend!
Yo Steve! Greatly appreciated bud. Really like that tune. And, I honestly dug Zakk's version of it. He's just a beast in general. Hope you have a great weekend!
This video and Trey's play helped me tremendously. The band i'm in up and decides to cover this tune, and i never once watched anyone play it. i was scared sh**less. Not really, but you get the point. Watching you do it softened the blow big time. Great job Trey, and thank you kindly for your effort in getting this on YT. i know there's a boat load of stuff involved.💯
What up Ermes!!!!! This has been a great time responding to comments today seeing things like this. Hey, if this (in any way) resonated with you I want you to know how happy that makes me. I mean it. Doing this tune, I kind of layered the approach with the one and only Bill Ward's track but then I listened to Brian Tichy do this with Pride and Glory, then listened carefully to Zakk's drummer on this track and finally, I threw in a fair number of licks that came about organically from doing this with Ozzy and Sabbath tributes. If you get a chance to upload some vid of you doing this, PLEASE let me know. I've love to hear it 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
I love the passion in your playing. It actually makes me watch the entire song! That’s what I look for not making every note, but going for it! Your drums sound awesome and sit perfectly in the mix!
Earl, your Steely Dan kick has been in my car throughout the week. Bad Sneakers in particular, I really can't stress how much I enjoyed that cover dude. No lip service. I absolutely love that tune but you knocked it out of the park. And Black Cow is ANOTHER home run. If you wanna talk about sitting just right, I swear to you man, your mix on both of those is out of this world. Thank you so much Earl!
YAY!!!!! you did it!! I have been requesting this for about 4 years now!! Ty for sharing your mad skillzz!! This sounds great one of my most favorite Sabbath tune. Great video awesome cover of cover!! Nice dedication to your friend. This goes in my special folder. Also we are all in pain RIP EVH 😪 😭keep rockn Trey 👍💜🎼🥁🔥🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🤘
Ms Cheri, first - thank YOU for being so kind as to offer the kind words. I am so, so happy to hear this is one of your favs! It's a funky track to say the least and it's chalked full of different drum goodies. Curious what you think but I thought Zakk's band did a hell of a job on this version. It was between this and his other version that Pride and Glory did. You don't know how much I appreciate ya Cheri! Your support means the absolute world to me!
I just keep going back to Zakk dude. Now, in all fairness - this was about Sabbath. But I went with the versions from Zakk Sabbath and Pride and Glory. The ZS version left more room to bring in the elements from Speak Of The Devil, etc. Appreciate you so, SO damn much my friend!
I fucking love that tune Richard. I just imagine in the original version that Bill Ward was drinking on on LSD and somebody said "PLAY" and he just went nuts....LOL!
Trey, if this song comes out different every time you do it, I say keep posting versions, I'll happily watch every variation. Absolutely killer man. Damn.
It would definitely come out different every time LOL! I've been wanting to do another Sabbath tune so any / all suggestions - throw 'em out. I try to read them. Bill Ward is a fucking genius to me man. While he is recognized, I still think he's underrated and an absolutely iconic drummer. And I can't play a damn thing like him HAHAHA!!!!
Dude, tickles me to no end to read that and I can't express how grateful I am you took the time to check it out bro. For real. Unbelievably appreciated SD! Hopefully some more improv type stuff will start to enter the equation my friend.
I watch drum covers of all my favourites for hours how I have never seen you before I don't know. Instant wow! instant subscribe off to listen to more. Amazing, I wish I knew other drum nuts like me to share it with, I don't unfortunately. In a year I discovered Billy Cobham and Sonny Emory now found you, different styles but all good.
Hey Paul! Well, Mr. Cobham and Sonny Emory in my book are world class / all star drummers capable of handling about anything on the planet drum wise. So, my goad will be to try to be entertaining, play some fun tunes and just hit hard LOL! Comments like these are beyond humbling Paul. The fact that you were kind enough to just watch is humbling my friend. And no drum nut friends required LOL! As long as something in this one resonated with you, just know that has made me feel great buddy. Have an AWESOME weekend my friend!
What up Kevin? Man, the original..........that's the dude that will remain on my Mount Rushmore of drummers. Bill Ward is a genius in my book. His contributions to Sabbath remain more than important in my book. I never heard another drummer really do what he did. I say that in the most flattering way to both Bill Ward and all other amazing drummers. All I'm saying is Ward laid down some massively unique and iconic work. Appreciate you bud! Have an awesome weekend 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Alex bud, I can't tell ya how much I appreciate it. I was straight up running out of fill ideas LOL! That's just a massively bad ass song and while I'll always lean toward the original, I think Zakk Sabbath did a hell of a job on their version. Have an awesome weekend!!!
Holy shit fire!!! Talk about ON 🔥 FIRE!! Love it when you release a new cover. Always know I'm gonna be in for some serious entertainment. I just can't say enough how much I enjoy the effort and powerful performance you consistently deliver with every cover. Absolutely amazing!!
Aw dude, just thank YOU for doing what you do. Feeling is mutual Bill. Mean that bud. This one was fun and I honestly wanna go more in this direction where there's room to just do what I like to do instead of throwing back licks I've tried to remember. Remains to be seen whether it would go over (LOL!!!!). Have a great weekend buddy and I'll see you in your comment section Sunday!!!
LOL! Yep, I even feel like a fraud with the end screens saying DW and Zildjian. If a company gave me free shit, I'd bolt in 2 seconds. But I can't hold my breath waiting for potentially the rest of my life. Therefore, I won't hold my breath that somebody will gimme free gear....HAHAHA! Thank you so much for checking it out Dany!
Killer cover, Trey... powerful drumming and great job !!! 🤩🤩 Awesome precision and control of HiHat... and I loved the drumstick crosses !!!😉👍 Have a good day, my friend !!! 😎🙋🏻♂️🥁🍺 LIKE#20
Hey Paco! Good to hear from you buddy. I drifted over to make sure I hadn't missed anything. As always, I'm looking forward to your next cover. Thank you so, so much for checking it out and have a great weekend my friend!
Never heard this before so I don’t know what the original sounds like but absolutely positive you CRUSHED IT! Each time you upload you continue to impress. Crazy amazing fills and wow amazing keeping that left foot going , not easy at all. Super POWERFUL PHENOMENAL DRUMMING! :)
I'll tell ya again dude, the collab with KM 17 came out SO damn good. I just appreciate the kindness more than you know. And I know you posted the latest Drummers to watch - as always, I'll check them ALL out. Thank you for what ya do bud!
What a killer break at around the 4:00 min mark, well it is chock full of killer breaks and fills. Now tell me. You were dripping wet at the start. How many times till you got this take, or were you playing other songs beforehand? In any event. Fantastic.
Yo BD1! Work has cut into my practice time so this was Sunday and if I'm remembering correctly, I'd ran through it and got the first two takes. They were OK but a bit monotonous on playback so this is take 4 (again, if I'm remembering correctly). Plus once those lights go on and I flip the switch to full on, I'm sweating inside 20 minutes LOL! Dude, thank you so damn much for being so kind. I really, really mean that my friend.
Was wondering watching this if you've covered any Pride And Glory songs? "A Horse Called War" is a rippin' tune! That snare drum is a beast of a thing, I must add.
Todd - you did something not many folks do. You got me on what I'm hoping is in the next 3-4. I'm learning Toein' The Line. Fu*king LOVE that album and Mr. Tichy dude. So I sure hope I've got one P&G tune on the way dude 🤘🤘🤘
@@TreyBDrums I know Brian Tichy did tour with P&G for a while but I think Greg D'Angelo played on the album; both he and James Lomenzo were the White Lion rhythm section before they got replaced, Greg was even in Anthrax before Charlie Benante joined. So many people in different bands, so much history.
Buddy, I sure appreciate it and I greatly appreciate you being so incredibly kind as to watch. I am really thankful this vid keeps getting comments. It's a pleasure to just know folks seem to watch this and it's reached a wider audience than I typically reach. This.......I just love their (Zakk Sabbath's) approach. It didn't nail me down to trying to be BIll Ward (because I can't do that) but at the same time, it honors that classic Sabbath vibe. Anyways, I sure appreciate it. Hope you are having an awesome night!!!!
Howdy, howdy my friend! Nope - don't mind a bit as long as I still have it. Do you want me to Dropbox it (or WeTransfer or whatever)? Happy to share if I've got it. Be an honor. Whatever you do with it, just kick its ass bro 🤘🤘
My dear Trey it's true you don't play like Bill Ward. But you play like you, and being you is not an easy thing, you play super heavy and very precise and super solid. You did not fall short my friend you did a Wow !!! work you left me with an open jaw. Good job in all drumming super coordinated to perfection. I hope you are well and ready for some Delta rain heading your way. Greetings from Texas 🤠👍🤘
What is up TMD! Yes sir, the Delta Rain set in yesterday. I can't express how much I appreciate your kindness man. And to say I respect you is a massive understatement. Respect you as a player and most certainly as a person from what I know. Bro, it means so much that you take the time to watch and leave kind words. As far as Bill Ward, I'm not gonna do it again LOL! Unless it's a Sabbath tune I just know I've got down in a relatively similar, manner drum wise I'll find an alternative version. Bill Ward and Keith Moon are similar for me. They are so unique and their structure / approach is at times manic but calculated. Just amazing drummers and I won't try to match either lick for lick. But I love Black Sabbath as a band and the great news is a bunch of other people do so there are TONS of covers of their tunes to choose from! Again bro, my sincerest thanks and gratitude.
Always love watching you play Trey! You are very talented and I always appreciate YOUR interpretation of the song, so well done, IMO. Also, yes the loss of EVH was very sad. Van Halen definitely made a huge mark on all music that has followed. Have a great weekend.
Yo Rob! Yeah man, Eddie was one of those that just stung to hear. Such an incredible artist. They (Van Halen) weren't really in the mix of bands that inspired me starting out. It was more Crue, Pantera, etc. but it takes less than 10 minutes to truly listen to any number of songs they've done and appreciate the pure badassery. Man, I just appreciate you checking it out so much Rob. I hope you have a great weekend as well my friend!
@@TreyBDrums Hey Trey! I can see your comment on the Green Day song I covered, but YT isn't letting me reply to you for some reason??? Wanted the say thanks for watching! Commenting! and as always your kind words! Hope you can put together a Green Day song this month as well......have a greet week!
LOLOL! I didn't notice that until you pointed it out! You're totally right. Every time I went over to work in that single cowbell hit, I think my face is me going "Why did Bill Ward put that one little hit in there?" HAHAHAHA!!!!!!!! As a matter of fact, I know that's what I was thinking. It's the same face I make on a BUNCH of his creations. Sure appreciate you being kind enough to check it out my friend!
What's up? I am blown away at these consistent comments on this one. I'm massively grateful! I need to go back and listen to some of Zakk's other covers. For me, it always goes back to the king with Mr. Bill Ward but it's more fun to try and approach tunes such as these where there's at least a little room to not require me to do a Bill Ward impression (which I can't do real well 🤣🤣🤣). Bill Ward is in my top 5 of all time. Don't see that ever changing. Have an awesome weekend my friend! 🤘🤘🤘🤘
DUDE this was A M A Z I N G!!! I told you already that this was my morning track on my way to work when you released it! Just straight up bad ass bro. First, the toms starting at .41 with those crossovers! I can tell you put a lot of amazing improv and your own flair into this. Never heard this one, but man you made this real good!
MOE! Man, just thanks for even watching. For real dude. I really do want to find ways to go more down this kind of road. I don't know about you but I'm just on the fence. On the one hand, I like keeping tracks tight with the original tune. On the other, I've never done that until I started doing stuff on here. It was always "Close enough" and then add your own thing. I don't know dude. End of the day, all that can happen when ya go off the reservation drum wise is the thumbs down or "that sucks" stuff but at the same time, the whole point of this is to have fun. You know how much I appreciate you bro.
I honestly don't understand how this video doesn't have more views. such an incredible performance...
What is up? Just know how appreciative I am that ya took the time to check it out and I mean that 🤘🤘🤘. Honestly, for my channel - this one has made me ecstatic for the number of views 🤣🤣. For real, I am still so grateful to see comments come in on this one regularly. Appreciate the support so much 🙏🙏👊💪
Sabbath lives Fantastic version Zakk kicks ass drumming outstanding
To me Justin, Sabbath ALWAYS lives. I just don't do a great Bill Ward Impersonation so I like finding these alternate versions that allow me to be me (to a point). That said, THANK YOU for watching and hit me with any other Sabbath remakes you dig 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Perfect! What a groove!
Amazing, awesome, incredible! Bill Ward will be proud (maybe envious) to see this video
Trey...you are a real drums master. No doubt, my friend
Nansen, I don't feel that way but THANK YOU for taking the time to say that. It shows how much you care an gives a guy like me some hope and confidence. I so, SO mean that Nansen. I appreciate the hell out of you my friend.
Just plain Awesome! I am not a musician but i can and do appreciate your skills, makes me want to pick up some sticks and start playin here at 57...
Yeaaaaahhhhh! The best cover ever!
I'm SO stoked to see this one getting new comments! Thank you so, so much for being kind enough to watch my friend
You remind me of Shannon Larkin ! Awesome bro !!!
That was really good Bill Ward did a lot of out of time drumming Trey you nailed it
Bill Ward...........that dude is in a whole different league to me.
Now this was a video worthy of my time! Most excellent sir
Hope you have an awesome Saturday dude!!!!
great job !! video and drums
I greatly appreciate that my friend 🤘🤘🤘. Have an awesome Saturday!!!!
Astonishing.
Hey A C! First - thank you so, so much for checking it out and second, thank you even more for the support. I love that track (Zakk's version of it). And the original is nothing short of brilliant to me. BIll f'n Ward - what a monster he is. Appreciate ya my friend 🤘🤘🤘💯👊
This song is so hard to play!! Bill ward is a beast. And you make it look effortless
Deserves a million views !!
Awwww.............dude, that's humbling and incredibly kind. Thank you for both my friend. I hope there are other cuts on the channel that you dig Felix 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
@@TreyBDrums oh yeah I'm checking the rest of your cuts. Nice work brother 👍
You simply nailed it! Amazed to see your stick work and drumming. You deserve more....
Yo my friend! Thank you so much for being kind enough to check it out and I so greatly appreciate the kind words. I've said it before on here but I'm just tremendously grateful anyone takes the time to watch. I couldn't mean that more. Hope you have a great weekend!

Happy 74th birthday Ozzy like Zach said The Godfather🤘🏻🙂 kick ass drumming !!
You are the Man Trey!!!
That is awesome 😎
I'm glad you commented on this because I need to get to work on doing Zakk Sabbath's version of Sabbath Bloody Sabbath. I enjoy it too. DAMN I thought they really did a great job on this. And it's the second time Zakk has done it. Pride and Glory absolutely crushed this tune (Brian Tichy is a monster bro)
The feet! I see your feet!! My man did it!! Go Trey!! I'm still watching!
Good to see you in the comments bud! Yes sir, we got us a foot cam rolling in this one LOL!!! Not that there's anything crazy going on but it's just a funky track and I thought the footwork angle would be a fun addition for this one. I sure appreciate ya my friend! Just a sincere, sincere thank you
@@TreyBDrums truly loved it buddy! Appreciate you too Bro!!
One of the best Drum Covers of The Wizard. Well done.
How I like your work, sound, video, performance, ... !!! It is a real pleasure to see your videos !!!! Congratulations !!!!
That's just incredibly kind of you. Thank you so much friend. As long as it's entertaining in some capacity, I'm a happy camper. Appreciate you!
Wowwww Buddy brillant this Drums Cover.

🤘🤘🙏🙏🙏🙏 My sincere thanks for checking it out
Cannot help but feel that song is a BLAST to play.!!
🤘😎🤘
I loved - and mean absolutely LOVED putting that together. If you asked me to play it now, the fills would be entirely different. If you asked me to play right after I played it, the fills and approach would be different LOL! It's just such a funky and BEAUTIFUL song Louis

La technique et surtout l'essence du morceau
Parfait 👍
C'est une de ces chansons que je suis si heureux d'avoir pu faire ici. C'était incroyablement amusant et stimulant. Merci mon ami!
Hell yeah. Well done!
I sure, sure appreciate the kindness. I genuinely am so grateful this vid continues to get comments. Means a lot. I'm going to go back and listen to a few other Zakk Sabbath tracks. This was one where I had the luxury of being able to hear how different drummers like Brian Tichy had done it and I took a little from this one and that one while still keeping the vibe as respectful to Bill Ward as I could (even though I just do not play like him LOL!)
Thanks again. Have a great weekend and so sorry I'm running late on my reply.
Woooooaaaahh!! That is dope!!!
Bravo!!!
My thanks to YOU Andrea for watching!!!!
I just love the groovie of this song , freaking amazing
Cool one !!
What's up my friend? Thank ya for the comment and thank you so much for watching! Love that tune bud 🤘🤘
This is killer man!
FREAKIN' AWESOME!!! Loved this one...Bill Ward gets no love! You nailed this one as usual...new subsciber here keep em coming.
Coming back again... your right in the pocket!
Another powerful and amazing track!!!!! Your power and intensity is always what draws me in. As well as your incredible musicianship.
Very awesome Trey 👍
Hey Sierra! Thank you so very much. I hope you all have a great weekend and I hope you're all well!
Wow killer cover man!! You absolutely nailed it
Hey Christian! My friend, thanks so, so very much for checking it out. I had an awful lot of fun playing around with this one. But the kind words mean the world bud!
Dayum.........I’m at a loss for words Bill Ward x100 . Seriously that was super Trey 🤘🏻🤘🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Dude, that was fucking great. Love the passion in your playing and the raw power. Kit sounds heavenly.
Again bro - thank you so, so fucking much 🙏🙏🤘🤘🤘🤘
@@TreyBDrums Awesome man, rock on 🤘
Nothing but love for this drummer he puts his heart into all of his stuff perfecto❤
AGREED 💯. Trey is pure heart, passion and entertainment. This format robs him as other drummers get by on marketing. Trey B cares about his viewers and his playing.
Great cover! I always thought Bill Ward was an underrated drummer for his time and even today.
Awesome! As usual dude. Great version of that tune. Thank you Trey! 🤘
Bro, thank YOU for being kind enough to watch. I swear, you have some of the most creative videography I've seen. I look forward to ANY content from you and I mean that. The 2020 As We Know it, that's just stellar work man.
Trey B You are the man!! I always check out what you post , always dig it. Thank you!
I’m working on a new project now that will hopefully be cool.
Amazing, bro!!!

Thanks!
👏 The best cover from you man! Killer playing, brilliant! 👍😀🥁

Love this and watched it on repeat last night. Brilliant energy, enthusiasm and excitement. Love all the variety. There just isn’t enough drumming like this in the world these days - probably why music has become so dull in many areas.

This has got to be the ULTIMATE version of this that I have ever heard in my 49 years bro...... NICE!

Rock solid drumming as always! Great cover Trey
Amazing ✊🏻
I give the credit to a combo of Bill Ward and Zakk Wylde. Bill Ward played in a way that I can't replicate and Zakk Wylde gave me a different way to do it LOL! Thank you my friend
@@TreyBDrums Hell Yeah Zakk Wylde is my dude too
I’m listening to you now Fozzy
I seen Randy Rhoads at 13
So, I've watched, drooled, and thrashed over this video at least 20 times now.
@@TreyBDrums Would LOVE to here your rendition of Achilles Last Stand by Zepp! Drive it like you stole it!
I Love the Trey Spices all over this!!! Absolutely FANTASTIC!!! Beautiful work Brother!!!
Amazing cover my friend! Very impressive performance! Like 10
Trey B ... 😀 ... but I really enjoy your playing in this genre! The mix was great too! That kick is exactly what it should for this song!
This is absolutely amazing video!!!!
YAY!!!!! you did it!!
@@TreyBDrums 🤘you rock🤘
Sounds great like you always sound Trey !!
Killer timing brother!!!! ASS KICKIN!!!!
And I can't play a damn thing like him HAHAHA!!!!
this is killin' Trey🤘 watched the whole video and it's my favorite of yours so far 🔥
I've never seen nobody drum this is good as this guy does you're a machine sweet job makes me want to play my drums 💪
Top notch. Very close to original. Keep up the good work.
2:44 that fill is savage
Alex bud, I can't tell ya how much I appreciate it. I was straight up running out of fill ideas LOL! That's just a massively bad ass song and while I'll always lean toward the original, I think Zakk Sabbath did a hell of a job on their version. Have an awesome weekend!!!
I love this song as always incredible powerful drumming , my brother you are the best ,very big like !!!
Back at you as always Bob! You run an AMAZING channel because you are an AMAZING player my friend 🙏🙏🤘🤘🤘
Master teach me your ways, astounding
genial mucho éxito
¡Muchas gracias mi amigo! ¡Ten un excelente fin de semana!
Killer drumcover Trey!!!! Love the sound of your drums buddy!!! :-)
Just recognized your header picture on your profile!!! HAHA GREAT! :)

Hey Paco! Good to hear from you buddy. I drifted over to make sure I hadn't missed anything. As always, I'm looking forward to your next cover. Thank you so, so much for checking it out and have a great weekend my friend!
Nice 💪
Never heard this before so I don’t know what the original sounds like but absolutely positive you CRUSHED IT! Each time you upload you continue to impress. Crazy amazing fills and wow amazing keeping that left foot going , not easy at all. Super POWERFUL PHENOMENAL DRUMMING! :)
I'll tell ya again dude, the collab with KM 17 came out SO damn good. I just appreciate the kindness more than you know. And I know you posted the latest Drummers to watch - as always, I'll check them ALL out. Thank you for what ya do bud!
Dm190 I asked you to cover this when I first found the community. Bill ward is not easy to play but Trey did awesome. 🤘🤘🤘
Brutal and I mean that in a good way
Buddy, I sure appreciate it and I greatly appreciate you being so incredibly kind as to watch.
@@TreyBDrums no worries keep on 🪨 rockin
This is incredible.. Would you mind providing us non-drummers a drums only version to play over it and give permission to use this in a video?
Howdy, howdy my friend! Nope - don't mind a bit as long as I still have it. Do you want me to Dropbox it (or WeTransfer or whatever)? Happy to share if I've got it. Be an honor. Whatever you do with it, just kick its ass bro 🤘🤘
@@TreyBDrums you're a pal.. a dropbox or googledrive link would be swell.. you made my day :D
Yes man 🤘🧨🧨🤘
Always love watching you play Trey!
Everytime you hit the cowbell, you made a face like you messed up lol....excellent work sir! I really enjoyed watching as always!!
@@TreyBDrums its definitely unexpected! I wouldnt of thought to add it lol
Cool fuckin’ sound, dude! Love this
Insain bro! Excellent work!
Much appreciated my friend!
Great job ..!
