I used to live in San Anselmo and watched this mountain everyday for three years ! Marin is classic and beautifully 😊

Growing up in the Bay Area, I lived at the foot of both mountains; Mount Diablo in the East Bay and Mount (Tam, as we locals would affectionately call it), in the North Bay. In my youth, we'd ride our bikes to the summit of Mount Diablo mostly during summer vacation. I moved to San Anselmo at age 17, and soon after high school, traded my bike for a VW bus. Making the trip up Mount Tam was for more than just the view. The peacefulness of the redwood forests, the amphitheater at the top, and of coarse, Stinson and Muir Beaches. BTW, that VeeDub bus I mentioned, well it was flattened like a pancake after rolling it off a 300 Ft. embankment on Mount Tam. Fortunately, I am still here to tell the tale and speak of the mountains many gifts and treasures. Question, what is the name of the instrumental piece that accompanies this video., and who wrote the score?

Wonderful my dear Mothers ashes were spread on top of Tam my home for 66 years, climbed many times :)

Starting at 9 AM from Mountain Inn, should make it up by noon and down by 2 PM. I climb the eastern side, the zig-zag trails clearly visible.

Tri Pham you can drive to the top, there are parking lots then you walk to the peak.
