Being older means you have a lot of things you won’t put up with. This alone thins the field very significantly. Not to mention a field filled with people who couldn’t manage to keep a marriage going. You are at more significant risk of backing a relationship that can fall apart from serious illness. And fewer men as they keel over faster and suffer the travesties of sexual dysfunction. Most of these guys are looking to leverage their assets to find a younger woman anyway. Then there are the “kids” he had who bring their own impositions into your adult relationship. Concerns over how a serious partnership beginning late in life affects inheritance of the “original family” etc. Then there are the actual sharks who are swimming through these waters-people who ultimately want your assets. It’s a “mine field” of a field if you will.
When my dad died, after several years of profound loneliness and sadness, my mom remarried a man she met online playing poker, and moved to California. She built a whole new life, and spent her final 14 years happy. And not alone.

in 2001 at 48 & after 9 years of marriage 1 child and 2 counselors my wife files for divorce because she's not happy .. for the next 18 years i expend a lot of time money & emotion to re-connect with another woman .. thru the internet & friends went on approximately 100 'dates' .. of those 100 ten resulted in short term ( 8-10 month) serial monogamous affairs .. based on my experience dating later for most women was a transactional relationship .. they had an agenda and you were expected to fulfill it .. they need a handyman car mechanic errand boy lands keeper cook cleaner and entertainer .. for which they would reward you with sex at their time and choosing .. and far too often they were in dire financial straits and needed your direct support .. eventually it devolved into demands criticism drama & conflict .. now i'm done and have no need or desire to attempt that again .. better off without the burden of trying to please the un-pleasable ..
Just do it! My interest is in a person - I mean a person who is already a person, and who wants further growth, and who wants to further discover and explore himself/herself and advance. Doing it together is just great if the interests and the tone match. The same with sex - a person who wants psychological fullfilments, I mean sex is all about psychology. And when you are 40 or 50 and above you are getting to know some of that and how that works and you can explore it further into real full and long-lasting pleasures and maybe also some other things for your partner and for yourself as well. You see, time is running out. So do it now! Get a time-standstill in great things! Two people enjoying themselves in life and in pleasurable manners - is there anything better in this world?

I think you're confusing dating when you're in your 50s with guys that just want to get laid, no one wants to date a divorced progressive feminist woman the '50s that is even more picky than ever happens. The guys you want you're 30 to 50s are going out with girls in the early twenties. When I was in my '20s I dated a lot of career woman around my same age and it never worked out well All they cared about was their career and they were very demanding about everything while they gained 30 lb or more.
All this podcast did was depress me and make me think it’s better off to be alone. The chances of finding someone is really slim. Like “I voted for Trump” immediately disqualifies half of the guys out there. Then 10% of the ones left are gay, then you get rid of the smokers, and who wants someone who drinks or uses drugs…and then the guys who don’t bother to keep in shape, forget them…and what if the guy played video games? Holy smokes. Or what if the guy expected me to go to church? Yikes. There is like one guy out there who is right, and he’s probably 3,000 miles away. Who cares about sex…it’s more important to find a guy who is smart, who can hold a conversation, and who is not annoying. Forget it. It’s better to be single.
