But if he was one of the meanest unprofessional musicians, would you still support his music? For me I don’t really care to meet artists since meeting them can’t make me like their music anymore than I already do unlike the impression POS gave you resulting in your biased likeness towards his music. It’s just fascinating to me how meeting an artist can make or break people’s liking of that artist. Very bad litmus test.
2019. It's been years and this song still shakes my spirit to the core. lyrics that no matter when, they're just simply spot-on relevant. On one hand, it shows just how much Nothing Gets Done, on the other, it's comforting to have the masterpieces that will forever lift the soul and heart higher than that mess
P.O.S. is one of the few rap artists you can still look to for genuine, intelligent rap music. I constantly look to his music and his brilliant words for inspiration.
Find a base. Hold your space---LIKE A SPARTAN. YES. One of the most powerful lines especially the first time you realize P.O.S. is giving you words to die by...As I sat back and thought about this simile/bar, I considered the idea in more depth. As a Persian, I am the lineage of those responsible for the Spartan's deaths (Battle of Thermopylae 480 B.C.). Yet, here I sat, unquestionably honoring their deaths with deep admiration. The beautiful irony in this makes one think...
i honestly believe rhymsayers keep what real hip hop and music is alive, this song has heart and plain simple honestly of life and the world and is an anthem for people who struggle,i respect it and love it because its not about them abusing women, money, drugs, and sex
It was years ago this was actually on MTV, on Elite 8. Morning music I loved every morning. Maybe 7th grade? Anyways, it took till 10th grade to find the artist and song by chance, last year. I bought the album and I know about 80% of the words in the whole album. There is nothing like P.O.S. and I can't help but say he is definitely my favorite artist. I just wish he'd make some music again because the amount of spirit and fucking power in his songs just makes me internally combust.
P.O.S. is not a rapper....he's a hip hop artist/emcee. Hip Hop will never die thanks to true musicianship and artistry. Rhymesayers in the building. Welcome to the revolution....Peace Naycha
I saw P.O.S. / Doomtree back in 2009 up in Burlington, Vermont at Higher Ground. I was 19. It was one of the the realest shows I’ve ever been, too. I used to be in to hardcore/punk but then gravitated towards hip-hop so this is an absolute perfect marriage of the two. Raw aggression, intellectually sound/revolutionary lyrics, hard beats... nothing gimmicky or phony about this!! Never Better is a certified classic.
He is not waving money, there are no twerking girls, he is not blabbing about his car or his parties. I'm glad that there is still someone normal on this sick planet
started listening to him when i saw him on the paid dues line up, now he's one of the main reasons why i'm going. can't get enough of his wonderful music.
kasper stenersen good rap is definitely out there, you just have to look for it. Personally I believe spending the effort to find good music is worth it, unfortunately the majority of people don't agree. What a shame.
like nothing I've heard before. He has his own style and sound. Love it... beats any rap, that has been around recently. I say bravo P.O.S! musical genius
Oh my god. I'm usually not into rap but this is just so exquisitely beautiful, thoughtful, cynical and ANGRY that I can't help but like it and feel the raw emotion. The music video is perfect for the song I think.
saw this guy at a saosin, underoath concert (rock concert) he came out on stage alone with just a little beat box in his hand...if that aint balls i dunno what is, and he killed it!
I was in this video and it was SO COLD that day my contacts froze and broke in my eyes. Lol...and all I see is my arm in the last scene. It was so much fun and I'll never forget it!
It's hard to find an artist like this that makes meaningful tracks Loved Ipecac Neat Audition was ok but not nearly as ground breaking as Ipecac Neat was Then this album comes along and I feel like he's really bringing it back Looking forward to future tracks
@superinfinite88 you got me wrong. i meant not all music has to have a deeper meaning, some just does paint a picture in one's head, without a particular meaning. as a musician of course i understand this. so does an artist like waka do it too? yes he does. ever been down south? thats what they listen to down there, where they dont have as much, and are often forgotten. waka's music puts me right there, with the poor, yet amazing people down there
remember the show on mtv2 called my block, maybe they will show a twin cities edition of my block since they have been showing alot of the rhymesayers crew
to all you who say "im not diggin the beat" this beat is perfect. it turns this from a rap song into a story. can you honestly even imagine this flow over another beat? didn't think so
162,899 views, and waka flocka flame has over 7,000,000. I would say thats a damn shame, but it just means 7,000,000 people wanna hear a someone talking bout some gang shit and driving a bentley , i m glad music like P.O.S. stays within a tight nit group of fans who can appreciate well composed music. And i agree with GoodLaxatives' coment, let the haters hate, they just dont get it, and thats not our fault, maybe one day they will figure it out, but then again maybe not
I met him a few years ago. He is one of the kindest professional musicians I've met. He deserves everything he's achieved.
But if he was one of the meanest unprofessional musicians, would you still support his music? Never better. 06/06/2023 every ever is now.
no matter how long the last time I listen to P.O.S.
I'll still get goosebumps
True testament to how groundbreaking Minnesota's music scene is right now. Genre's are merging and its a great time to be a fan of great music.
Still listening to it in 2021. Remember watching the music video on mtv early morning when it came out.

Damn, this is one of the most beautifully eerie songs I've ever heard POS do.
nothing is better then aiming at nothing and hitting your mark.
that one line just amazes me
"You, nothings better than aiming at nothing at hitting your mark", that line really gets me
Being in this video was one of the coldest days of my life. So much fun though!!!! Glad I was a part of it
neat! This song re introduced to me to rap around 7 years ago. SO good.
same, even if my memories are a bit hazy 'cuz of being a 9 year old at the time :,y
Nothing's better than aiming at nothing and hitting your mark. Fuck I love this album so much.
Rhymesayers is just a big bucket of win. Plain and simple.
i'm honest when I say that P.O.S is one of the best rap artists to ever hit the genre.
I'm so glad that I live in Minneapolis. This is where real music comes from.
