lol I originally came up with this trap, basically you placed stairs (non-solid blocks) against a fence and then move out and break the face and the block would be inside of you, but now you need to use pistons so it's alot more difficult after the patch. Any questions just ask i'm happy to help :)

Oh yeah, and I've got a good idea about another trap, hide lots of TNT under the island and build a dispenser above the island. Then put one TNT into the dispenser and place a lever on that. When a player is on the island, pull with a lever, the TNT will go off and blow up the whole island.
