Chukrasia tabularis (scientific name: Chukrasia tabularis) is a species of flowering plant in the genus Chukrasia, family Meliaceae. The tree was scientifically described by M. Roem in 1830. The Chukrasia tabularis species is a medium-sized tree, up to 25m tall, with a straight trunk, large buttresses at the base, dense branches, and light brown bark with longitudinal cracks. [2] Young branches are reddish brown with fine hairs. The even-pinnate compound leaves grow alternately, with a size of 30-50 cm. The main petiole (from the tip of the petiole to the first leaflet) of the leaf is cylindrical, 4.5-7 cm long. Each main leaf has 10 - 16 leaflets, the petiole is 4-8 mm long, the leaflets are ovate or elongated lanceolate (sometimes lobed in young plants), the tip of the leaflet is pointed, sometimes with a pointed tip, the base of the leaflet is often askew, the leaflet size is 7-12 cm long and 3-5 cm wide, the vein system of the leaflet is pinnate with 10-15 pairs of secondary veins, the upper surface of the leaflet is smooth, the lower surface is not or lightly covered with light brown hairs. The inflorescence is a panicle growing at the tip of the branch. The flowers are creamy white, have a light fragrance, and are 1.2 - 1.5 cm in size. The fruit is spherical or oval, gray-yellow to brown, and is 3.5-4 cm in size. The flowering season is from April to May, the fruiting season is from July to January of the following year.[3]
