- Hi ,in this video I am going to show How to make Solar Mobile charger. This is a small project for emergency or camping.
The materials I used - 5 volt 1w solar panel and a power bank charging circuit.
For some problem I can not put link but you can get from online or local market.

modern phone has a 5000ma battery this will put in 500ma at best per day so you need eternity for a charge.

... Do you realize that 0,2 mA is 0,0002 A? He also stated that the solarpanel he used had an effect of 1w with 5v which means theres 0.2A (200mA) of current. This will absolutely not produce 0,2 mA PER HOUR (wth?)

I'm 100 percent certain that phone will never get fully charged. It will only indicate that it's charging.

too low amps will damage your phone and battery, too high will make it explode, constantly varying input will short your phone and turn into a brick, you need a constant steady source like a battery power bank. this is like a last resort if you dont have any other power source

@@faizferoz3212 oh that USB chip would have to regulate the current, I mean a steady and falling current from a battery, but would it work on a solar cell that's constantly going up and down? Then it would shorten the battery life of the smartphone, it would have to be strong enough to provide sufficient amps, but not too high to burn the smartphone battery, I guess there is a range for it to safely provide amps

That panel will not produce enough power of 5.2 volts, or the amps.
A better alternative would be to have it charge a couple batteries, than you charge your phone from the reserve you have saved up.

@@harryharcrow7979 You are correct, Solar panels do produce a direct current, and most devices charge off of ac. In order to charge a battery using a solar panel, you would need a solar inverter.

Not sure it will work, the loss in that circuit is big, especially the cheap powerbanks, instead just use a 7-8V panel and use an SMD 7805 with polyester capacitors or smaller 10microF capacitors,, should be better. Should you want a heat sink, just glue a foil under the panel.
Ya, very simple. It would take forever, like 10 time more then your computer. so if your computer can charge your phone on USB 2.0 just over 1 hour, then it would take over 10 hours to charge your phone, and that if your phone is not using more mA/hour then this solar panel provides and hope it's a clear sunny day, if, it will take long.

This not working. I made that charger, but panel is too week, the phone showing that charging, but battery percentage dropping with time.

the solar pannel u have used is not sufficient to charge a mobile as it requires 5v and 1 amp and the pannel ampears may be 60 to 100 milli ampears,so it is not enough,charger indication will shows as charging but it is not enough to charge ,may be it takes to 2 days to charge 0 to 1%.
i have one solar panel 12 v 0.2 mA and i use dc to dc step up setting volatge to 4v and i can't charge my phone only small motors will work with it . you will need at least 1.5 mA or more to charge a phone fake video

Priyanka Choithani simple, take out your old power bank .Open it , take out the circuit board after that soldering the positive point and negative point of circuit board to positive and negative points of solar panel respectively. Buy a solar pannel of 5V from any hobby shop or buy it from eBay.

what about the current rattin usually we preffer 2A charger that charges fast....but in solar panels does the current ratting not affect?
well i have 5w 12v solar panel connected it into a car cigarette lighter phone charge and it supposed to output 1A although it does like less than 500mAh (which is the 1A phone charger in the wall plug) its around 150mAh if the phone is not open i would recommend 10w so its 2A it will probably be around 250-300 Which is about wall plug charging when everything on the phone is on

It's not going to work. There's no AC to DC converter and mobile phone required DC current. So even if it shows charging it won't gonna increase.

It will probably work, but using the charger part, regulates your voltage down to 5 volts, so it doesn't damage your battery. So you could, but good luck
