After watching you weld with your HF 90 amp welder and learning a bit. I welded with my HF 90 amp welder a HF $19.99 2 inch receiver into my E250's front Bumper to move my bigger utility trailer and my HF 4x8 trash hauler around the yard and park it out back. Thanks for the video. I could see getting one of these.

I know this is an old video, I just have one question. Do you think it would be possible to remove that axle and slide in a longer one? I am working on a project and would need to do so to to add tires with wider wheels which would require the axle to be slightly longer. I appreciate your time reviewing my question and giving some advice. Thanks!

They are pretty good if you can keep the tires up with air

I like mine. Use it with my log splitter. ball height does need to be higher. Looking at different tires.

Their fine after you weld the handle in and replace the Tires with solid tires.... The original tubes suck...

@9:45.....cut your 4X4 down, or just don't use it at all....you have the trailer jack

It would not have cost that much more to get a dolly with a height adjustable ball... In the end, it does not appear that you saved money. Your time and materials are worth $$$

👎 Why not just fit a jockey wheel? 👎

Thanks buddy. Helped make my decision if I can get it at about $50 or less.

I modified one of these by motorizing it with a harbor freight wench. Turned out great and I use it all the time!

Seems very good value for money and will certainly make life that bit easier when dealing with the trailers.

Good video. Did you ever modify your HF trailer dolly? Caster added, or extension to raise the ball? How is it holding up?

Maybe get larger and better wheels and reinforce and make it more adjustable it'll be just right for you to use. It's so much fun hacking and modifying.

How much to do the mods? I gonna need to move a 5x8 utility trailer to my side yard, grass, not concrete, never owned a trailer before, can they be moved easily on grass/dirt? Thanks..

put a ball hitch on your 8n bucket, i have one on my farmall m and it works great, and i have a hitch on my ford 8n bumper, maybe a brush guard/bumper build is due for your tractor ;)

first thing I would do is put wheelbarrow wheels on it. The wheels that come with it will be weather cracked in a year or less..Changing the wheels will add some height as well. You could buy raw steel and build your own and it could be as strong as you want.

Good for rated weight and pavement only. Try dirt & 1ton+ video

dont see much of a point for the HF trailer. I used to move one of those by hand through gravel without much issue. Jeep trailer maybe.

The wheels are canting outward when you have the junk hooked up to a trailer..too heavy for the junk dolly..you're gonna break the axle.
