I guess this is probably the first time a company invites all the reviewers and youtubers and vloggers and give them the highest and best treatment and services regarding their stays, accomodation, riding gears, food etc. merely for their new bike launch. This has got to be the best launch of any motorcycle so far. Other companies need to learn from Royal Enfield. Even after marketing their products for such affordable fantastic prices they are able to provide such good services for their consumers.
Basically if you treat the riders well they'll say good things about your bike. A lot of good youtubers won't go to these launches because they prefer to ride them on UK roads whilst not being pampered by a marketing team 🤣
@4RMS7TRONG as you can see from my video, I’m not afraid to tell people my true opinion. Sure it’s nice to be pampered but I’m not gonna put on rose tinted spectacles because of it. If I don’t like something I’ll say it, full stop.
RE is really becoming a serious brand. Even here in the states, where people used to think they were mostly junk, I get compliments on me Interceptor all the time. I've even had a couple guys say "Harley needs to make something like that" 😅
As a long time viewer of the channel I’m so glad to see it getting the recognition it deserves. The reviews by both of you have always been the most down to earth and relatable of all the channels and it’s brilliant to see just how competent and confident you’ve become. Great review and a great bike, I’m actually very tempted by one of these and I agree whole heartedly with which colour way looks the best.
Am I the only one who’s really really blown away by how this thing looks? I love every inch of it, and only hope it rides as well as is looks. The only real disappointment is the sound, which is a bit nondescript. I’m taking one for a spin as soon as the local showroom gets one.
Just ordered one down here in new Zealand was going to get Himalayan but think the Guerrilla would suit me beat as i ride at moment and I will keep it suzuki RE 800 Cheers 👍🏻
I actually think they did a great job on the styling of this: it isn’t just a street bike look, it almost has a dirt bike inspiration which just separates it from the crowd for sure.
We can still see our speedo on our bikes with it in the centre, and have a mobile on a quadlock to the side, without spoiling the aesthetic of the bike 👌🏼👍🏼👍🏼
"it's extremely cold in England with 15-16 degrees weather" Riders in Scotland when it's 16 degrees: "SUMMER'S HERE LADS LET'S FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOO" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I definitely wait for this RE to enter Malaysia. Definitely my first attempt to own 400 cc bike. As RE offered range of model with affordable price tag.
Nice to hear Royal Enfield is sticking to their philosophy and keeping even their more powerful bikes relaxing to drive in the city. Cities are so slow with roundabouts and traffic lights that it really makes a difference to at least my enjoyment of a ride. I wouldn't want a 1000cc Fireblade in city traffic..
Definitely Bike Shed styling. Bar and mirrors would be my first accessory. Will be interesting to see if an even shorter tail tidy is in the market soon, maybe a read seat delete.
Very good review, I really liked the travel style review you did there, very good indeed! So it feels like this bike is in direct competition with the triumph speed/scrambler 400 then, which makes sense because the 350’s RE have done up until now don’t produce the same power. It feels like there is just so much choice now from RE across their range, the danger is having too much choice that a customer can no longer decide what to buy LOL! I’m with you on gone looks of the Guerrilla though, as much as it’s a nice bike there are some aspects of it that I’d be changing too like the exhaust. Thanks again for the great review, always brilliant to watch you guys!
There is one actually. Its called Analog (which is a base variant) It has a classic speedo (the one they use in a Meteor) and it comes in just one plain matt greyish kinda finish which honestly looks the best amongst the kaleidoscope of colors the other variants have.
The colors on the one you rode here remind me of something from a video game or comic book, so there's the under-30 marketing. Overall it's an interesting bike, and you can't beat the price. I was glad when it cooled down to 30ish where I live, but temps are rising again. Looking forward to Fall riding.
That should be the owners choice. There’s no need to mount a phone because of the built in satnav, besides, there’s still plenty of room to mount a phone with a central speedo
Great, entertaining review mate! You were in good riding company too I saw. Looks wise I still prefer the Hunter, but I love the fact that RE gives us choice and value. Cheers, safe rides!
Royal enfield have got it locked down I'm 45 years old and had sports bikes 2x 3x the price I've just payed for an interceptor 650 and the enfield is my favourite bike I've had
I think it is pretty practical that the Speedometer ist not in the middle because that gives you plenty of room to mount your mobile Phone. Also i think Royal Enfield did that because it looks better when it is in a line with the Tankcap
I love it! I was hoping to buy a 350 Bullet, but this bike looks fab! On the plus side of having the speedo offset, is hat a quad lock could be mounted next to it or a GoPro.
So, overall the Guerrilla 450 is a better bike than the Triumph 400? Putting preferences apart what I see is that RE is not afraid of pushing the industry to offer better products. That's a good thing.
Some of the colour schemes are definitely not my taste, but so nice to see conventional black forks with rubber gaiters. That's how you do it, Triumph, scrap that golden junk you're so fond of.
What I have always admired about RE is their timeless classic designs. This is not that! And just 11L tank - that’s not enough for country roads in Australia. I’m waiting for the Classic or Bullet 650.
Hi Darcy matey 👍 it's mark from Wirral Merseyside 👍.. my honest opinion on all of the royal Enfield motorcycles is that i love every model of the royal Enfield motorcycles and I'd definitely would buy one of each model for myself. And i definitely agree with you about the black and yellow royal Enfield gurila it's not my choice of colour but don't get me wrong it still looks great but not my choice of colour at the moment but it will grow on me though. And it was funny when your camera overheated. But at least you enjoyed yourself in Barcelona with the new royal Enfield. And I'm only 5foot 7"inches and would you say that any royal Enfield motorcycles would be fine for me from 350cc upto 650cc but I'll be happy with 350cc or 450cc royal Enfield for going to work and casual riding. Hope to hear from you soon thanks from mark from Wirral Merseyside 👍. Royal Enfield motorcycles seems to be best bikes for me really
I've already put my name down for a test ride on one of these. Agreed on the black with the red flash. The colour you rode and the gold and red remind me of the Indian Premier League cricket colours. Most of them are very vivid and bright so appealing to younger fans. Obviously you're 21/22, sorry forgotten your age.🙂
Not a bad looking bike. Ideal for blasting around town with enough grunt to keep up with the flow on faster roads. Yeah, the tank's small, but with its intended use of a city commuter, bar hopper, etc, why the need for an adventure bike sized tank. The colour scheme, well, not every one's cup of tea, but I suppose it'll grow on ya. Price is excellent. Cheaper that a lot of smaller 125's. It is what it is. A cheap get you from A to B without any fuss or silly palaver Well done RE.
I actually like the yellow-black. Reminds me of my Derbi Senda's color scheme. Guerilla obviously is more of a hooligan bike and not the burble & pop gentleman roller as the classic 350.
I agree about the lack of smaller engine capacity bikes for younger riders (including the UK). Like always, a great review. Would consider adding the higher sear (800 mm) as you are 6ft 1? Thanks for the answer. Keep going. :)
I wasn’t a fan of the semi modern colour schemes but they work and they really get attention from the public. I really like what they have done and they will sell very well. All we need is a 650 Him and you have a city bike and an ADV bike, and possibly a cafe racer all for the price of one brand bike
Thanks for the review Darcy, it’s a okay looking bike, but that radiator….. I really don’t like it, and the strange note is that everybody was complaining about the radiator on both BSA and Triumphs but not the RE…. Which I think it’s strange as these brands ’hide’ it in a much better way. Hope to see a review later on with a compare of these brands
I wish i could say that when i was Darcys age i also would have skipped the party at the bar and had an appreciation for beautiful scenery the next day instead, but alas it took me a much longer time to grow up!
I don’t care for the graphics on the two tone color scheme. I don’t mind the exhaust style but also wonder why the speedo isn’t centered. I guess someone might make a few bucks by designing a bracket to center it.
Like the J Series 350 its a common powerplant in different cloths . Enfields 450 is not super powerful but still great value and not to be overlooked if you are in the market for this style of bike
I agree with you about the colours but hey, if they want to appeal to a "younger" audience you've got to have a design that pops in an ad. Cool bike though, pop a decent exhaust and a nice big box on the rear for groceries on it and it's a perfect daily.
Looks a fun little city bike, styling wise its 80% there but cant help feel they've missed out...oval exhaust, USD forks and more pitched forward ergos for a slightly flatter bar would really make this a good looking and engaging Triumph alternative....
nice ride, we had our first visit to Barcelona about a year ago *we drove a rental car to San Remo and back with multiple stops, finishing for a couple of days in Barcelona, very nice place. And seeing the Gaudi was extra cool for me, because I know a couple of Gaudi family members in Texas. *here on some days I commute on a Kawasaki Versys x300 which seems to fit ok (201cm tall, 6'7")
very good yes this or the speed 400,but some times it comes down to the little things, like the centre stand, old fashioned forks,i dont mind the off-set speedo, and all the bikes i have seen have been uk reg.its food and you beat fredie to,bet the old man is looking to.
Nice looking bike Darcy, however I think the Triumph 400 beats it, in terms of quality finish and the look of the pipes. (Obviously haven’t ridden the RE). Good bike for the money? Agree with your colour choice. Thanks for the review, as always. 👌
If they can do a P-Twin based on that single for the next gen Interceptor that'll be a hell of a compelling bike. Lovely bike though. If i had a spare few grand it'd grab one to replace my current commuter
What attracted me to RE was their classic looking air cooled bikes Love my classic 350 If they build a classic 500 or a 650 I will buy another one of their bikes This bike is too Japanese looking if I wanted a Japanese style bike I would buy a Japanese bike.
Great video. To counter what some Insta fool commented on your Guerilla post, I thoroughly enjoy the men as much as the bikes! Cheers! AI cannot replace dry British wit.
Ah yes, 30 degrees. Ho hum.... I live in Arizona USA and up here in the mountains (where it's nice and cool) the temps today ar 35 degrees, but down in Phoenix it's a balmy 43 degrees. If you come to visit, it would probably be best if you come in the winter, spring or autumn otherwise you might melt.
As far as re showed about their plan in India the scram and cafe race were in development so good luck and the triumph will launch its thruxton 400 this year.
As a tall rider i really appreciate RE putting real effort into ergos. Some manufacturers are just a no go for me. Do they offset the dial for folk to mount there phone on the bars?
They didn’t give a reason but the dial doubles as a sat nav when paired with your phone so the question is do you need to mount the phone on the bars in that case
Thumbs up for centre stand, conventional forks with gaiters & decent coverage front mudguard. Thumbs down for offset speedo & fuel tank size. Would I pick this or the Himalayan? The Himalayan would be my choice, even though I rarely go off road. The fuel tank size is one factor that makes the Himalayan more enticing.
now bmw , ducati is following the RE’s ways to market- eg the ga1300 was launched in himalayas , ducati teamed with artists for their scrambler color schemes related to graffiti theme of skaters❤
Next time you're around come ride the twisties between Guardiola de Font-Rubí and Sant Martí. When you where having lunch at Mirador, you were 20 minutes away, 30 max. Very common riding spot and really nice.
Nice to see a little of how you're looked after at a launch as well as the bike itself. Where did the offset single dial thing start, Guzzi Stone is another one, feel sure there are others?
That was your best video yet. The b roll is what makes the video entertaining. I think the bike looks like the Hunter. Not a fan of the fork gaiters and the paintwork is hideous. Shame as it sounds great from what you told us.
Thank you so much, this is the direction we want to take the Channel in! The base colour and playa black look good in my opinion the rest are a bit much. I like the fork gaiters tbh
I like the blue one best, styling is nice and seems retro modern if thats a thing, agree the speedo looks outta place with the offset mount. What was the context of the discussion about the seat near the end, did some of the bikes have alternative seat fitted? This bike is more appealing to me than the new himalayan and could easily have scope for further development /mods. I'd love to see it with a 650 twin engine, but for what it is and the launch price etc they have done a good job.
@@MrDarcy-OlMan thanks bud, makes sense now. Pretty lightweight too isnt it? Low centre of gravity, flickable. Did you get what you expected from it, better or worse than expectations. Big brother to the hunter?
Definitely better than I expected, sure feels like a big brother to the hunter but with scram elements to it even though they didn’t advertise it as that
You and your Dad have OCD with a off set Speedos. It’s there primarily to accommodate handle bar fitments but you should have picked up on going from left to right hand drive ….. it safety check! There is more…. One is do you think it encourages the eyes to scan?

All launches are similar to this, but I must say this was definitely the best one I have been on. They went above and beyond!

@MrDarcy-OlMan yeah I was about to edit my comment after I got to the end of watching. You did a brilliant job at saying it how it is!
Much appreciated buddy! 😊
RE is really becoming a serious brand. Even here in the states, where people used to think they were mostly junk, I get compliments on me Interceptor all the time. I've even had a couple guys say "Harley needs to make something like that" 😅
I had a smile on my face when you pronounced "Himalayan" correctly 6:20
Wait...am I seeing this correctly? Freddie Dobbs, Tomboy A Bit, and Mr. Darcy & The Old Man all in the same video? Excellent!
This yellow-purple combo is growing on me, at first I thought it was way too inyourface but the more I look at it the more I appreciate it.
I too love listening to Mexican music when visiting Barcelona :D
Royal Enfield have made a bike that stands on its own design merits.
I really like.
Very informed review 👍
Love to see the same thing from my two favorite perspectives, you and Dobbs.
Am I the only one who’s really really blown away by how this thing looks? I love every inch of it, and only hope it rides as well as is looks. The only real disappointment is the sound, which is a bit nondescript. I’m taking one for a spin as soon as the local showroom gets one.

Definitely Bike Shed styling. Bar and mirrors would be my first accessory. Will be interesting to see if an even shorter tail tidy is in the market soon, maybe a read seat delete.
I am starting to hoard air cooled bikes. Just added a SR 400 to my garage. I just love the look of air cooled engines.

I think they put the speedo in the offset, so your phone can go on the other side without blocking it. Kinda smart.
That should be the owners choice. There’s no need to mount a phone because of the built in satnav, besides, there’s still plenty of room to mount a phone with a central speedo

Zero interest in the bike, but watched for the ever superb cinematography and because I love how you and your father carry yourselves.

Looks rugged but attractive for a scram. The price makes up for everything. Cant wait to test ride this RE

Top review thanks Darcy - good to hear how it compares with the Triumphs
Glad you enjoyed it
Like the rugged design approach over the "pretty" Triumphs. Sort of machine you could ride 365. Needs an aftermarket pipe. I'd have one.
That's Freddy Dobbs in the back😂...nice 3:36
superb editing mate 🤟
Thank you 🙌
This is one of the fastest bike in India right now in its segment. I hope it gets better colour options in future😊
Familiar faces there. Freddie, uncle Stuart.. Niceee
You make great videos. Greetings from Italy.
I like how they have offset the filler cap to the right so you can get more in when on its side stand, wish all bikes with no centre stand had this!!
Thanks for the introduction video to this machine. Looks like a great motorcycle for college kids here. Get around town and inexpensive!
Some of the colour schemes are definitely not my taste, but so nice to see conventional black forks with rubber gaiters. That's how you do it, Triumph, scrap that golden junk you're so fond of.
Agreed but strangely it's the base one in black/red that i like the best.

I gotta say, your Vid' didn't make me want to buy the bike so much, but I want to go back to Barca'.....❤
Love the black with the red and gold accents
The best 👌🏻
i actually like that colour, defo want to demo one of these
now bmw , ducati is following the RE’s ways to market- eg the ga1300 was launched in himalayas , ducati teamed with artists for their scrambler color schemes related to graffiti theme of skaters❤
Next time you're around come ride the twisties between Guardiola de Font-Rubí and Sant Martí. When you where having lunch at Mirador, you were 20 minutes away, 30 max. Very common riding spot and really nice.
Would love to! On these press launches they have a very tight schedule and a completely planned route so we have to go wherever they take us
Nice to see a little of how you're looked after at a launch as well as the bike itself.
@@billybass4189 yes some of them had a flatter seat which was more comfortable for taller riders 👍🏼
To each his own, but symmetry matters.
@@666louis not to a Harley nor Triumph scrambler. Plating a curry? Making a bed? A passenger aircraft? A house? And the list goes on.
