Ok. Just finished installing this exact same tanning ledge step. (20'x10' deep) If you are watching this video to understand how to do this on your kit, be advised. You only get an exploded diagram of the step. No step by step instructions, etc... We started and then had to start over. The easiest way is to begin with the bottom step. Flip it upside down and set the support pieces into the middle step and attach the two side steps to the middle, ensuring that the riser and step appear flush. Attach the long L brackets (one for each support) to the step support. Then with the help of a buddy, flip it over and slide it into place and align both ends with outer walls. Then set the second step upside down on the first and align the mid-level support pieces into the middle second step and attach the two outer steps. Then flip this one over and place the supports on the L bracket. Note to self: Make sure that all of the support brackets are attached facing the same direction from step to step, otherwise they will not seat onto the L bracket if facing different directions. Place the two necessary Lift up on the second step and align the holes on the back of the first step with the bottom of the riser for the second and place a few bolts in across the full length. Align and attach the side steps to the outer wall. Repeat for the top step.

Did you pour the main concrete collar the same time you filled the tanning ledge section or did you do one first before the other? Thanks

@@joejet8 When we had all the walls up, connected and braced, including the steps to the tanning ledge, we poured the footer concrete around bottom of the walls and the braces. At that time, we also poured the concrete under the steps of the tanning ledge. To do this, we stacked sandbags full of gravel to wall up behind the steps to allow us to trap the concrete under the steps and then you back fill all of that tanning ledge and steps with gravel or backfill. (we used 3/4" gravel) You should end up with your outside finished edges and sidewalk/deck around your pool, with dirt in the bottom of your pool and gravel leveled off in your tanning ledge. Then you come in and vermiculite the pool and the tanning ledge.

That is a gorgeous pool! I wish I could fit it in my yard. I’m going for something smaller. Definitely looking at your website.

What if we want this design but a deeper ledge, say 9-12" of water, how do we accomplish this?

Can you have a polymer wall pool and use these metal steps or are you limited to the polymer steps with the polymer pools?

Unfortunately this pattern isn't available anymore, it was called Blue Slate. Patterns tend to swap in and out each season, but here is a list of our currently available liners:
