I am going to be 49 the end of May, and THIS song speaks to me in SO many ways!! I am in recovery, been sober for 4 in a half years, I previously had 9 years sober but relapsed, and THIS song speaks to me and my battle with addiction!!! I also have mental health issues, PTSD and extreme anxiety and bipolar that I believe was brought on by the childhood sexual abuse I endured and then all the years battling drugs. I also lost my partner of 16 yrs, father of my children, and the person I got on drugs with, died of a overdose in 2008, I had left him 2 months before he died because I got sober and he was struggling. I felt like if I didn't leave I was going to be the one to die. At that point in our lives, I had overdosed and had HIM save my life more times then I can count. He NEVER did. Except for THAT one time, alone, because I wasn't THERE to save him. THAT did a number on me of course. But anyway, I hope Lewis sees this because I really want him to know THIS song has saved my life on more then one occasion. AND whenever I am having a rough go of it, I will play it, over and over and over again. It actually helps me to NOT pick up. So thank you and God bless you 💕💕💕🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
