I come back to this performance often. I agree, one of the best KEXP performances. In the pocket, great energy, great camerawork. Hey, Mammut, great to see you getting play on Katla! Hearing you on the show brought me right back here to hear Walls.
@@ramram21 agreed, annoying af for someone who listens to lots of icelandic music, i guess whenever others hear the accent it's the only thing that comes to their minds
I really like them, but cannot understand why they still use this ibanez and a strat with this kind of music. Saw them live and the guitars sound was unimpressive. Same here.
Such a shame they have transformed to "wanna conquer the world -> english lyrics". I liked them much more when I knew them as a "that great icelandic band", not another Björk.
One of the best performances on kexp
I love this band so much!!😍 I wish I could casually bump into them when I visit Reykjavik in February, if even just to buy them a coffee!.

I'm just speechless. This music is transient. With Gratitude to Mammút.
Amazing performance, in each one of presentations in KEXP, Mammút show a great musical evolution, so great!
Fearless, passionate and original.......Thank you Mammut and thank you KEXP
good performer, love her voice and brilliant musicians
Always a great performance!
Mammut is an awesome band. Sublime music
Excellent stuff, I discovered Mammút quite recently, and instantly feel in love with their music.
Mammút's lead singer Katrína Kata Mogensen’s father was the bassist for Bjork's band 'Kukl.'
I'm not surprised. With a population of 300K everyone is playing in eachother bands.
Discovered these guys on BBC radio last month. Great band
addicted for this songstress , walls best song of them
So brilliant
It's great to hear Alex and Arnar cut'n up on some new stuff. I love this band.
You're so amazing band! Hope see you playing live in Barcelona some day...
Keep rockin'!!
great tunes
Great session !
I totally believe her :)

Bien habité la demoiselle! super groupe!
yes
SouthAfricanYugo Is this another South African on this part of UA-cam :p
First time I saw them they were singing in their native tongue ...which I prefer ... but they still sound great :)
Really dig their sound, looks like that they have a lot of energy and that library or bookstore is kinda small
naww they've grown up so much!
Que do caralho!
Yeah but do you think they like water or nah?
I kinda wanna sort fish with them.
the ibanez is edgy
roger moore would have loved this
I'm sending her a (paint)brush
The vocalist sounds a lot like bjork.
Not at all: but it seems every band playing in Reykjavik will get some sort of "reminds me of Bjork" remark.

Go back and listen to Bjorks 1st debut. You'll change your mind

Probably money constraints, but I agree.
I think the reason can be she love her guitars and dont want to change it along the years
bartni Probably a mixture finance and sentimentality. The Ibanez sounds bad, but the riffs and effects still work well
I really love the tone of the guitars in this set
what guitars do you think would work better for this? i think they work well for what each guitarist is trying to bring to the table
Such a shame they have transformed to "wanna conquer the world -> english lyrics". I liked them much more when I knew them as a "that great icelandic band", not another Björk.
Drummer is tight but the others are not very proficient at their instruments. Pretty much atonal.

Are you? Good for you. Coming out on youtube is definitely a start.
lol
as in happy, yeah
live sound is a lot better than on the actual recording
