I’m sick of people discrediting Sean on his win over Izzy. I think the blokes annoying but he beat Izzy fair and square. Izzy came out looking good, walked out like he normally does. Tried striking like he normally does but Sean shut everything down. Izzy even said after the fight everything he tried didn’t work.

I agree Anderson Silva is the Middle Weight Goat, but my argument for Izzy if there is one. Silva has more title defenses, but when Silva entered the Middle Weight division roster barely had enough fighters to fill a top 10, a top 20 at most. He also won the belt in his 2nd UFC fight and half of his defenses were against fighters that wouldn't make the Top 10 today.

Why wouldn't you count Israel's interim title defence? If the "champ" refuses to (or can't) fight you, and you have to defend your interim title instead, then that's a title defence. The "champ" was welcome to take that fight instead, but they didn't. IMO, the "champ" should be stripped for choosing not to fight the interim champ, let alone be allowed to carry on calling themselves champ at the expense of the interim who's doing all the work.

But if Bones comes back and fights Stipe and then retires, then he's not the true heavyweight champion IMO - Tom is and any interim defences he makes should be upgraded to "full champ" status. Whittaker fought Adesanya once he was fit again (so technically Adesanya never had to defend the interim title, only unify it). Bones simply has to fight Tom to unify the titles, otherwise his HW legacy is dead.
