I just tried watching this movie three times. Kept trying to give it the benefit of the doubt thinking it must get better. Yet every time I turned it back on it somehow got worse. This was an absolutely terrible movie....at least the 45 minutes I actually got through before giving up.
@@winns35 I actually enjoyed this movie more than the last two X-Men movies as a whole. I think it has a ton of potential despite the fact that some backstories are underdeveloped, if they had shown the psychiatrist's subtle manipulations of the kids into getting them to be killing machines, along with a greater standing and discussion on the state of mutants and what happens when mutants cause property damage, it would've been much better and we could've understood how the facility works. In addition to this, if they could've shown reasons why they train the kids, and how their different backgrounds and childhoods were like in order to make them more or less sympathetic. The movie tends to fall apart towards the end where Magik is a total badass completely in control of her powers without understanding or giving a greater depth to how they work or how she got so good with them, and why she stays at the facility despite having more than enough power to kill the psychiatrist and be free. It also would've been much more interesting if the kids initially blamed Dani when her powers became much more apparent in their destructive potential, and at how much damage they've done to the kids emotionally and psychologically by forcing them to relive their worst moments where their inability to control their powers caused people to die. It had potential, if it were just a bit longer and quantified the world a little bit more it would've been great.

Dear god, no. Only if you used that extra 30-40 minutes to slowly torture and kill those unlikeable characters. The only character that died the entire movie was the one that didn't deserve it: the ACTUAL strong woman of this movie. Responsible, intelligent, dedicated and beautiful.
Bob McLeod, co-creator of the New Mutants had his name spelled incorrectly in the credits. It's been 3 years. You couldn't proofread the credits in 3 years???
It’s very apparent Hollywood doesn’t care at all anymore about the movies they make. Great dialogue, acting, and cinematography are increasingly rare, honestly finding a show/movie with even just one of those things is difficult. It’s sad and disappointing to say the least bc movies & tv shows are probably my favorite things and I’ve always wanted to be an actor. Good catch noticing the error on the credits. After all the money they throw at these movies... seriously how embarrassing😒😑
That's how most films that have suffered from studio based, development and production problems often end up unfortunately, especially the ones delayed numerous times. Sometimes they end up even worse (looking at you, Artemis Fowl).
I’d say it’s above average for what it had to endure. It’s not bad but it’s far from great. I get why Chris rated the movie C+ but I gave it some slack because of what it had to endure and I’d give it a B or B+
It’s the classic example of “this is too different so make it more digestible” which I’m assuming is what happened to Venom given how it was originally going to be R-Rated and how it was so heavily edited down to being... okay? Like I’m pretty sure there is a great Venom movie there somewhere but unfortunately that’s not the venom we saw.
hi I just woke up , did not have my coffee yet, actually the cast looks younger coz it was shot a few years back.... oh!! u being sarcastic ...... damm!!.. need that coffee.
@Luke Eiffe Studio made a new X-Men universe film a few years ago, but when they got to post production they were like "Oh wait, this kinda sucks. Will we even make our money back on this?" "No, sir. Probably not." So the studio delayed the film for years trying to edit it well enough to be a success but eventually realized no one could fix it. It was a boring mess and it's what they had. They already invested so much time and money into the film and most of the cast was now too old for reshoots so they said fuck it. Hoping the buzz its delay caused will be enough to draw an audience they released the film they had and hoped for the best. Now we are here. That's what I gathered at least.
It's unfortunate it came out after Glass, I was getting flashbacks to that. Woman doctor in charge of dangerous superhumans. She presents herself as there to help, but actually works for a sinister organization who want to control and potentially weaponize superhumans. They hold their captives in an old decrepit hospital with loads of CCTV. And also made on a restricted budget and limited location. Just needed James McAvoy to be in it as originally planned. Even Mike from Red Letter Media's jingle would work here: "If you liked Unbreakable and Split, then you might as well finish it".
I can't believe the main girl could hear Maisie Williams say "we're all gonna die if you don't wake up" and just _chose_ to remain sleeping because she was afraid of the bear. Didn't exactly make you root for the main character.
My recollection of the backstory of this movie: A guy wanted to use the X-men concept to make a horror film about teenagers with superpowers. The studio said okay, if he turned it into more of a teen adventure film. He did, and it did well enough at test screenings. Then the first trailer came out, made it look like a horror thing, and everybody got excited. So the studio ordered him to do reshoots to turn the horror-turned-teen-adventure film back into a horror film. Except those reshoots never happened because of the Disney-Fox merger, IP shenanigans (is it MCU? Fox's X-men? something else?) and Disney disliking horror films in general. Thus, the horror story that is the creation of The New Mutants, a not really horror story, was born!
@whysoserious54 Except part about Disney not liking horrors. You are aware that they own Hollywood Pictures? People confuse they main brand, with what they actually do as a whole, like stuff released under Touchstone brand. Disney also has no direct impact on production of this movie. It is simply something they inherited.
I think the movie was too short. It would’ve really benefited from some additional scenes of the cast bonding (instead of just one short one). Kinda like the training montage in First Class. And some additional hospital staff would’ve been nice, like seriously this movie’s effects are top notch and so is the cast and yet if feels cheaper than Glass.
This needed to be a TV show. Ironically it was pitched to be a trilogy. The cinematographer lit everything like a CW show. Also, it got released on VOD. 🤦 🤦♂️ 🤦♀️
from the way I understand it, the director basically pushed it through as is, so... perhaps in a way it was rushed? It was cooked and then sat on for years. It's certainly a weird piece of media to have been sitting around for years and have nothing done to it.
I think people just went into watching it already discouraged because of how much time has passed. I would say that all superhero films should be watched lightly, without heavy expectations. It's just an easy entertainment and people (not Chris specifically) are acting like every new Marvel/DC film should be an Oscar worthy masterpiece and it's just not thar realistic
@@sorcellerie i didn't like it because it was bad. There was an unneeded love interest, the characters were pretty good, but horrible story, the concept and idea was great, but the point was lost and ruined, whoever made this film clearly doesn't know what horror is, it had boring scenes and extremely wasteful scenes, and they did a great disservice to Sunspot and Cannon Ball. Those 2 characters basically did nothing... extremely disrespectful to the characters

The CGI bear looked amazing, especially in HDR. Also, it is way smarter than a typical YA movie. Not all adults are idiots, kids are not hysterical all the time and they have no pretense about saving the world from the adults.

Wanted more from Anya Taylor Joy’s character. Her character had the most interesting backstory and the most interesting powers, but they never spend time explaining either so it felt lacking. Wish it was scarier or at least creepier. Seemed to switch tone too often from thriller to coming-of-age to a finale that felt like just another superhero ending. While not nearly as bad, the end reminded me structurally of Fant4stic. They tried taking elements of The Breakfast Club, One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest, and Dream Warriors and combine them all together but it never finds it’s own identity.
Magik is straight up homophobic and racist in this movie and nothing like her 616 counterpart. Im glad this terrible movie paved way for a potentially better adaptation in the MCU.
EVERYONE: You guys should release it now TNM: Nah EVERYONE: How about now? TNM: We're good EVERYONE: You ready? TNM: Not yet, sorry... EVERYONE: Well now there's a pandemic- TNM: *PERFECT*
It’s was very predictable and cliche, especially the whole sleeping and dreaming of her dad all like “you can do it” and all she has to do is wake up like “stop, go to sleep” then boom problem solved... The characters aren’t developed very well. One second they’re strangers, next second they’re fighting then suddenly love interests and randomly they’re all suddenly the best of friends. It was just super rushed
The film feels like fan-fiction. It jumps from tone to tone, making sure to visit such fan-fiction highlights as the “fluffy rated T femslash” phase, the “I am writing stuff way heavier and darker than I am qualified to handle” phase, the “go full cheesy” phase, and the “Shyamalan tier dialogue” phase
My understanding was the Boone wanted more of an R-rated horror movie, and the studio kept him on a leash. After the success of IT, they changed their minds and agreed to reshoots. It's really too bad those never happened.
For a movie shot in 2017 and delayed 5 times, including supposed reshoots, re-edits, a studio closure, and a pandemic... I was expecting something far worse. This was totally fine. It’s not on par with “Logan” or anything, but the leads were good, the vfx was good, the pacing and editing and direction was good, etc. I also felt that it seemed a bit short. And I wish it were rated R so it could have emphasized the more haunted house elements I was expecting it to have. But for the final FOX/Marvel movie, it was better than “Dark Phoenix” and is worth a look.
I think movie critics were overly harsh on this movie. “It was okay” reviews shouldn’t marked as splatched on RT IMO. This is a bit tin foil hat ish but I think critics are a bit biased in writing this movie off for being anything less than absolutely brilliant. Almost like it was painted as terrible to get rid of the possibility of the newly acquired x men trilogy competing with the marvel franchise.
From what I hear, Fox saw the response IT got and decided to make New Mutants scarier by doing reshoots. Then the Disney merger happened and those reshots never occurred.
I'm glad there's someone else who understands that PG-13 horror is usually bad. There are always exceptions, like Sixth Sense and the Cloverfield movies, but typical PG-13 horror is boring and jam-packed with scenes that are nothing more than filler, because the filmmakers can only have so much violence onscreen, and they have to fill those 90 minutes somehow. Oh, and let's not forget the jump-scares, fake-outs, and dream sequences, those are PG-13 requirements.
You could make a great horror movie with pg-13, even scarier and creepier than shit like saw or friday 13th. Hell, with a few touches Hereditary could be pg-13. This movie was just lazy. The conjuring 1 & 2 and insidious saga are also pg-13

SpookLuc Thats not how quarantine works g. We all have jobs, passions, and livliehoods that are adversely affected by the social distancing we need to practice. The virus doesn’t take your occupation into consideration. It also has an incubation period of roughly two weeks and test results take days to come back so its not like testing is an immediate fool proof solution to risking catching and transmitting the virus.
Eryk pannell when the U.S. government doesn’t provide its citizens with enough money to make it through this (especially content creators, cause they aren’t an employee of anything), they are going to turn to the first opportunity to make money again. and for chris, this is going to the theater and making reviews of new releases. i am POSITIVE he is still quarantining outside of going to the theater. i doubt he is seeing friends or family right now. so if he does catch it, the only ppl who he’s putting at risk are him and his wife. and because it’s one week between releases, testing DOES work. so for fuck’s sake, leave him alone.
Look, if you can riot shoulder to shoulder and loot stores _without a mask on_ and not get the Corona Chan, you’re not going to get it sitting in a chair watching a movie. Just wear your mask and you’ll be fine.
Very glad it got put out after so many delays, but although this movie has some interesting ideas, it ultimately feels incomplete. It's strong points are definitely in the horror aspects, but this definitely needed more character interactions and development so you'd care more for the five main characters. And upsettingly, there's actually like 3 deleted scenes that could've definitely helped with that, and most certainly wouldn't have made this too long since it's pretty short to begin with. I will give this credit in that the little that's there for the characters like Roberto and especially Illyana is interesting. I was impressed they actually talked about suicide and heavily implied sexual harassment and/or rape when it comes to Magik. The whole coloring with crayons and a puppet as her imaginary friend for example, also suggest development issues from that trauma. It's fascinating she at one point tries to deflect those issues by throwing them at Dani Moonstar when they had their heated exchange. The relationship building between Rahne and Dani was pretty good actually. And Sam's friendship with Roberto was apparent and it would've been nice to see more. At the end of the day, I was left wishing they explored more of all these kinds of things in the narrative so I was left a bit disappointed. The Demon Bear action sequences are pretty underwhelming and again, I feel this would have benefited from say, an extra 5 minutes to have them struggle some more and maybe use their abilities in some creative ways. This at least also did a good job of making me want to see more Superhero horror films. I'll give this a 7/10.
Some sidenotes, I was very excited to see they atleast got to do something with the Essex corporation finally, which was last teased in the end credit scene of Apocalypse. Also what now, will the corporation come after them? And what will they all do now? I could see all of them besides maybe Illyana, (unless she is persuaded by her brother Piotr), eventually becoming students at the X-Mansion. And why exactly did Essex just have Doctor Reyes run the whole thing? What was Sam doing exactly when he punched himself, was that a suicide attempt!? It's still very messed up if he was simply trying to knock himself out so he can stop feeling his emotional pain.. Lastly, it is kind of sad we won't see this trilogy they were planning.
Gateaux Q yeah then they moved away from that immediately. That's one of my issues with New Mutants. I did like that female dislike between Magik and Dani Moonstar! It should've remained there the whole movie. Two people can still be on the same team and hate each other. Look at Cyclops and Wolverine.
@@Dave175 lol I’ve read the Dark Phoenix Saga. The only difference between the movie and the comic is the villains. It was based on the first half that deals with the Hellfire Club. I was referring to Chris.
@@TheBlond49 Incorrect. Before The Last Stand started Fox decided to make the movie about X-Men vs Magneto because they didn’t want a female superhero movie after Elektra. The stuff done with Phoenix in the movie wasn’t even in the script and the writer of the original storyline (Chris Claremont) has attest to that. Have you read the Dark Phoenix saga? No offense but it doesn’t seem like you have much knowledge on it beyond a surface level.
Chris: "What I like about this movie is how it feels different from every other superhero film..." *Spends the next minute describing beat for beat the plot of Glass except he's actually talking about this film.
I had to drive 2 hours to see this movie. I enjoyed it. I would love to see a longer cut of the film. And it was definitely better than Dark Phoenix and Apocalypse in regards to X-Men movies.
I'm one of those people who were really excited after watching the first trailer from years ago. And today I finally watched it and I gotta say that the best way to sum up this movie in one word is "underwhelming". As soon as there was some action going on, it fell into mediocrity. At one point you wonder where the movie is even going. The premise about these five teens with their new-found superpowers being locked up in a reformatory where they are faced with their deepest fears sounds so intriguing but the potential was mainly wasted. However, I'm glad that the long waiting to watch this movie has finally come to an end.
my screening was delayed because the projector in the auditorium broke so the theater had to contact disney for permission to change the auditorium. this movie is cursed.
The problem is that this movie has two very different audiences. The people that have been following this movie’s complete cycle of hell since the beginning, and those who lost track and totally forgot this was even a thing that was coming. For those that don’t know much about the behind-the-scenes, it just feels extremely disappointing BECAUSE it took so long and this is what the end product resulted in when by all accounts and purposes it SHOULD be better. But what that audience fails to understand is that all these years in between have not been devoted to this one movie. It’s been sitting on the back burner for so long and with talks of reshoots, marketing, and the merger with Disney, Dark Phoenix’s release......it was just too much. They should have honestly released it as soon as they realized that this was no longer a priority for the studios involved. It would have gotten a lukewarm reception, but it would have at least been fresh in the public eye. But having a movie that has not been really worked on at all, come out NOW, just makes it so much worse. They screwed up bad 😣
This movie is one of the best X-Men related movies to come out, as a comic fan it was great to see the characters on screen in quite a good story, yes it was predictable but the performances are enough to pull it through. I also thought Dark Phoenix was okay, spent the first half mopping up the crap that came before hand by the end I would have liked to see it continue, I think Fox were on a steady path to knowing what to do with the franchise but we'll never know.
Funny how the conversation on this film is not whether it’s good or bad, but that the film was released. Lol. Just weird, essentially a time capsule movie.
"I don't think this movie is a disaster I just don't think I'll ever watch it again." I'd much rather have a disastrous film than a boring mediocre one.
You underestimate the power of a disastrous movie my friend. These days I am thankful if a movie is mediocre because bad movies leave me feeling angry and frustrated that people go to the bother of spending millions of dollars to make something so bad. A mediocre movie is like an edible food dish that is not very delicious but it isn't bad either. A bad movie is like the same dish rotten and spoiled. It just leaves a foul taste in your mouth.
From what I’ve heard, Fox wasn’t comfortable with the horror angle and demanded reshoots to lighten the tone. Then Disney bought out fox and basically gave Josh Boone creative freedom to redo the movie the way he originally wanted to. I’m grateful that this movie exists if anything for that
Why? What's the obsession? I mean she looks good in a weird way, not sure if it's the hair or the eyes, but she's not like a saliva dripping hot Margot Robbie..
Captain Poop For her age, she is great. Most young actress these days only get roles because of their looks and Anya gets by with both. There are very few actresses her age that I can call great. 🤷🏼♂️ As for the others you mentioned, they are definitely great actress! Don’t leave Scarlett Johansson and Jennifer Lawrence off your list! 😂
I seem to recall part of the problem with the delay in reshooots/or not, trying to schedule around Maisie and Heaton’s busy schedules, and then ultimately whether Disney wanted to sink more money into the movie, which might not help much.
If you think you're unlucky, think of this film and it's filmmakers: - Delayed to a point no-one believed that it would come out. - Released finally but in the worst time possible - Released finally but with shit reviews
I just watched TNM and I weirdly didn’t hate it, I actually quite enjoyed it! It’s not perfect by any means, but I think it’s a lot more fun than many give it credit for. I kinda wish I got to see more of these characters if the Fox X-Men series didn’t end.

I knew it wasn't going to be good...And yet I still managed to be disappointed. This is the last time I have somewhat "high" hopes for a fox/x-men/mutants movie.
I would give this movie a B personally. I dont know what people were expecting from this movie but for what it offered it executed a well written story. Everyone had their time to shine, everything made sense at the end and the horror was dope. The third act was pretty cool too, the visual effects were amazing. It all bundled up into a fun comic book movie. I liked The New Mutants
Exactly, it was pretty good in my opinion as well. I just felt the main character should have been a lot more badass like Majik once she got comfortable with her powers. And she should have gave off like a Doctor Strange vibe, but at the end she just seemed like some quirky girl that so happened to have powers. And the movie should've been an hour longer
aside from the similarities to glass, the accents, and lack of extended runtime it desperately needed to flesh out the story, the new mutants is a good time. y'all really can't be talking shit about originality when we have a new superhero movie out every ten minutes with the SAME SHIT going on in each and every one. plus the story can't be critiqued that much when it's literally based off of a comic, just like every. other. marvel. movie.......... at least this one was a little different and this genre needs more uniqueness. also for a lower budget, the effects looked amazing. you don't need fancy cinematography to make a great movie and honestly the fact that it wasn't overloaded with CGI was so refreshing for once.
I enjoyed this movie for the most part. It was a little slow because it is a character build. Anya Taylor-Joy carries the load as she usually does. She was great. I enjoyed Charlie Heaton’s performance a lot as well.
I went into the movie with low expectations and it exceeded them. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't great but it was better than I expected. it feels more like a horror movie for 3/4 of the time until the end. I agree that we could have gotten a little bit more fleshing out for the characters. like the smiling man stuff was never really explained but we could kind of infer what happened with dog-girl and sunspot (for cannonball it was straight up told). I think the biggest takeaway like you said once you figure out what's going on it feels like the movie doesn't have much more to offer. for me i figured out it really early once I remembered the name Danielle Moonstar. But yeah it was better than Dark Phoenix and definitely not a horrible movie. The girl-on-girl stuff was pretty gross but i can look past that. Edit: They all had pretty dark backstories and maybe I'm biased because he's the one I know the most about but my favorite character was Cannonball
It’s a movie I’ll never bother to watch, period. How can a film that took so long to come out & must’ve had several studio people examine seem rushed and directionless? This is another Fox throw away.
I thought the film would never see the light of day. Personally since its been pushed out so much it left me not wanting to see it, maybe I will soon but by the trailer it didn't interest me.
Like to be completely honest, I actually liked it. Yeah maybe the ending could of changed a little, there were quite a few things going on at once I feel and (as I've seen others say), it could of easily been longer. But I actually really enjoyed it, especially the beginning. I don't really get how there is so much hate for this film, but everyone has their own opinion and I respect that. ^^
So would a fan who doesn't care about a perfect movie. Say someone who wants to just have fun, watching a Marvel comic come to life, going to enjoy this?? I'll be seeing it in an hour, I loved Legion, The Netflix shows exc. If you liked Legion, then I'm sure you liked this. It is very much in the same vein. I think haters were never fans of the Xmen movies to begin with, so they just automatically hated this film.
The characters are more or less spot on from the comics. They finally got sunspot right instead of making him a knockoff human torch, and Magik stole the show for me. Writing is to be desired though, chris is right it feels rushed and incomplete

Dear god, no. Only if you used that extra 30-40 minutes to slowly torture and kill those unlikeable characters. The only character that died the entire movie was the one that didn't deserve it: the ACTUAL strong woman of this movie. Responsible, intelligent, dedicated and beautiful.
The deleted scenes have been released, so I might be able to put together an alternate cut of the movie. "The New Mutants: Extended Cut"
Technically films hire agencies to do the credits for them

I love how this movie went to hell and back to be called "pretty average" .
That’s life
It’s the classic example of “this is too different so make it more digestible” which I’m assuming is what happened to Venom given how it was originally going to be R-Rated and how it was so heavily edited down to being...

Why does it sound so much like Glass? It even has Anya Taylor-Joy in it.

Can we get this quote on the Blu-Ray cover?
“At least it’s better than Dark Phoenix”
I’d buy it just to read that on the back of the cover lol
You do realize they were pretty big in the comics right?

Essex guards showing up at the end so you could see them use their powers more would have been good.

Exactly. Can not put it any better.
Good copy and paste
Agreed. It really was just fine, I’m probably not gonna watch it ever again but it was entertaining enough
Did people really thought a pg-13 movie was going to be a hardcore horror movie? ... By the way I'm still going to watch this movie!
Obligatory "The Ring was PG-13" post.
You could make a great horror movie with pg-13, even scarier and creepier than shit like saw or friday 13th. Hell, with a few touches Hereditary could be pg-13. This movie was just lazy. The conjuring 1 & 2 and insidious saga are also pg-13
Armando Galindo herid...Ok you lost more; that movie cannot be pg-13

I feel like this movie could’ve been greatly improved pretty easily. I wish they’d had just a little more commitment to the plot and script

For those that don’t know much about the behind-the-scenes, it just feels extremely disappointing BECAUSE it took so long and this is what the end product resulted in when by all accounts and purposes it SHOULD be better. If you think you're unlucky, think of this film and it's filmmakers:
- Delayed to a point no-one believed that it would come out.
- Released finally but in the worst time possible
- Released finally but with shit reviews
“A lot of fuss about a mediocre movie” is my favorite Shakespeare play
3 years later, The New Mutants “kind of” survived
I just watched TNM and I weirdly didn’t hate it, I actually quite enjoyed it! It’s not perfect by any means, but I think it’s a lot more fun than many give it credit for. I kinda wish I got to see more of these characters if the Fox X-Men series didn’t end.
Since mcu is on the multiverse story, maybe one of these can appear.
@@lilbigfan3782 my thinking is if any reprise their role with mcu probably Anna Taylor Joy because she was so received as Magic.
Personally I liked her and the girl named Blue who played Dani Moonstar, but Blu Hunt wasn’t well received, we’ll see.
the ending was just.. ugh. i literally burst out laughing when she started petting the damn thing, like for real she just told it to go to sleep and boom movie over. i feel like this had the potential to be so much more.. oh well i still had fun watching it. just very disappointed in the way things ended up turning out
Chris was supposed to grow up with this movie, but he's a teenager now
The new mutants books were so cool than anything short of “amazing” is missing an opportunity.
I knew it wasn't going to be good...And yet I still managed to be disappointed. This is the last time I have somewhat "high" hopes for a fox/x-men/mutants movie.
Just saw it on HBO Max under “just added” and I gotta be honest, I was pleasantly surprised. It was pretty good! A decent marvel mutant movie.
It was okay.
Then why is Chris Stuckmann whining about it and giving it a C+
Real_Slim_Shady he has a thing for horror films. I’m sure he had a high expectation. Which is fine. Films are subjective
Man, I was hoping they would really commit to the horror theme and do something cool with it.
The movie we thought would never come , but man can’t believe it finally happened and it’s crazy that this is real .. “it’s been 84 years” meme 🤣🤣🤣🤣
That and the Snyder Cut of Justice League were the past few years biggest movie mysteries.
We still have avatar 2 though
aside from the similarities to glass, the accents, and lack of extended runtime it desperately needed to flesh out the story, the new mutants is a good time. y'all really can't be talking shit about originality when we have a new superhero movie out every ten minutes with the SAME SHIT going on in each and every one. plus the story can't be critiqued that much when it's literally based off of a comic, just like every. other. marvel. movie.......... at least this one was a little different and this genre needs more uniqueness. also for a lower budget, the effects looked amazing. you don't need fancy cinematography to make a great movie and honestly the fact that it wasn't overloaded with CGI was so refreshing for once.
C+ was fair. Your best point was the accents being all over the place.
I’m gonna see it at a drive-in tomorrow.
Drive-in? What is that?
@@krisnachristian8212 you never heard of a drive in movie theater?
Danny 310 I hope it’s a sarcastic comment
@@thekingofracoons For real. Or maybe he's very young
@@SouthBayLA1310 after Googling, i'm understand now.
“It’s okay” I could have told you that in 2017
I enjoyed this movie for the most part.
It had about 10 writers! Including Oscar nominee Scott Frank (Logan) and Seth Graeme-Smith (Pride And Prejudice And Zombies).
3 years to come out and 4 minutes to review it 🤦♂️
I thought the film would never see the light of day. Personally since its been pushed out so much it left me not wanting to see it, maybe I will soon but by the trailer it didn't interest me.
I knew this was going to be mediocre upon the first trailer
Like to be completely honest, I actually liked it. Yeah maybe the ending could of changed a little, there were quite a few things going on at once I feel and (as I've seen others say), it could of easily been longer. But I actually really enjoyed it, especially the beginning. I don't really get how there is so much hate for this film, but everyone has their own opinion and I respect that. ^^
“A movie I’ll never watch again” OMG I died 🤣 Love watching his reviews.
In the words of the Joker,
"And here we go..."
I've been thinking about going to see New Mutants and I am glad it's finally getting released.
So would a fan who doesn't care about a perfect movie. Say someone who wants to just have fun, watching a Marvel comic come to life, going to enjoy this??
I'll be seeing it in an hour, I loved Legion, The Netflix shows exc. As long as I can see a team of mutants I never thought I'd see in an enjoyable way I will be happy, I'm not overally critical, just need something to get me and my girl away from the shitty year that has been 2020. - update coming
