Starting up a 100 year old BSA on its 100th birthday.

It left BSA works on 12th April 1911. This video shows it starting on its 100th birthday (12th April 2011). It was restored by David Pattison after lying in a shed for 86 years. It is believed to be the oldest BSA in the world. Its frame number is 247.

Went out on my 1966 BSA yesterday for a short spin , two other motorcyclists , two car drivers , a pedestrian and a lorry driver all gave me the thumbs up and asked questions . its brilliant

i wish i had any of the BSAs even a temperamental one my dad had a late 60s triumph when i was a kid and i have loved British bikes end early bikes since then because they are so much fun to ride and work on except the lucus wiring
