- It left BSA works on 12th April 1911. This video shows it starting on its 100th birthday (12th April 2011). It was restored by David Pattison after lying in a shed for 86 years. It is believed to be the oldest BSA in the world. Its frame number is 247.
Went out on my 1966 BSA yesterday for a short spin , two other motorcyclists , two car drivers , a pedestrian and a lorry driver all gave me the thumbs up and asked questions . its brilliant

i wish i had any of the BSAs even a temperamental one my dad had a late 60s triumph when i was a kid and i have loved British bikes end early bikes since then because they are so much fun to ride and work on except the lucus wiring
