I was delighted that Charles was able to appear at Bayeux event.
Prince William is absolutely standing up and making UK and the Commonwealth Proud!!❤❤ his speeches are moving and heartfelt, and I cannot wait until Catherine and the King are both back to full health, and out doing all their regular charity works, etc..and also making speeches worth listening to.. and not the jibber-jabber rubbish from the non-royals from Monticito!!

I loved her look. I felt that she made it very personal to her and her family. I loved her something blue. I love that she wasn’t trying to break her neck in very high heels. On your wedding day, if your feet hurt, that takes a lot of joy out of the occasion. My daughter had “cool” shoes and ended up with blisters and a lot of pain. I vote for comfort, especially since the dress generally kept the shoes covered.

There was something admirable about the way the new Duchess of W. dealt with the dramatic winds and the flowing and streaming of heirloom lace. She was charming. 🌹

I thought the dress was very subtle and elegant. I wish American brides would take a hint. That lace was very nice. The veil was spectacular and I loved the way it blew in the wind. So romantic. About the shoes. I loved the color and velvet.fabric and the surprise element. Very quirky and British. The only thing I would have changed was the size of the heels. A bit out of scale for me. The garden flowers were fantastic. The tiara was very pretty and elegant. It almost needed a centerpiece, but overall, everything looked very understated and elegant.
I think P.William & P.Catherine should ban the magazine from publishing pictures of themselves!! That might cause them to reflect a little, plus it would prevent the 2 couples appearing alongside (one being full of lies), which just isnt fair.

I thought it was touching that the King and Queen were brought to tears. Remember both of their fathers served in dangerous situations and of course HMQEII served close to home. They must have known so many who did not return or suffered devastating injuries.

I believe this was Meghan Markles downfall. Meghan couldn’t keep politics out of her life. She is very divisive in her views and knows how to manipulate people. She is good at it. I thought when she married into the Royal family she would give up her activism. Instead she used her voice to try and change a culture she didn’t understand. I was 100% for her until I realized she didn’t give up her politics but was using those beliefs to be a woman of change. If she stayed she would have broken down the trust people had in the institution. Harry got his freedom so he is free to campaign for anyone he wants. He did a get out the vote for Biden in 2020. He is free! The success of the monarchy is to remain neutral because their job is to make sure everyone is treated fairly regardless of political convictions.

Haz is mentally challenged since birth IMO. He certainly was vile since a toddler. He used to kick William, run his tricycle into people, and physically attack other children at parties per reports.

The Dukedom of Westminster was granted under Victoria, but the family has been climbing ever higher in the peerage since around 1622. Grovsner is the name derived from Norman French and the s is not pronounced just as in Prince Louis. The bride and groom looked so happy.

I'm pretty much the same age as Charles and Camilla so I remember what it was like back in the day. Princess Diana was lovely, but Charles and Camilla were in love. At the risk of a lot of hatred, I blame the queen for the whole fiasco. Of course, we wouldn't have Prince William now so one can't really go back.

Oh my gosh, Queen Leticia has motor neuron disease? Poor thing, dealing with these cruel rumors about her brother-in-law or whatever. I completely agree with your comments about appropriate dressing for all and trying to look your best. I had a big surgery and recovery and getting dressed and out of sweats helped me recover, I feel. I have to say I liked the Duchess of Westminster's shoes, but I thought white shoes would have been better for the children. I read some about the DoW, and he sounds like a very kind and generous man.

I’m British and not sure why the Duke and Duchess of Sussex is not a great title in your view. Obviously the Wales’ got a more prestigious title, however Sussex is perfectly acceptable. It’s a southern county and one of the wealthiest. It’s also been used as a royal dukedom previously.
If the Queen really wanted to stick the royal knife in, she could’ve given them a northern title like “ The Duke and Duchess of Hull or Wakefield!”
Luckily for the Sussexes, everything was rosey around the time of the wedding.

Duke of Wakefield? Not sure that would exist. Most of the land around Wakefield is in the duchy of Lancaster. A lot of land in the north is duchy of Lancaster. The duchy of Kingston upon Hull was a peerage that died out ages ago.
There are some nice northern ones though. Cumberland for instance.
The dukedom of Edinburgh is the premier Scottish title and cannot go too far from the Crown and therefore must revert to the Crown on the death of Prince Edward. It may be given to Princess Charlotte or Prince Louis at a later date.
I imagine very few people care about anything Andrew would put in a book that hasn’t already been monetized by someone else.

It has Diana's diamonds in it (the 2 smaller ones at the sides), the big rock in the middle was the one that MM originally got him to add while in Africa, then she had it altered again with little diamonds all around the sides and an even bigger centre diamond...(I think that the old one became her 'pinky ring')... and someone posted a picture of her old ring from the last husband and its exactly like the ring she now has!! (The new one is just Bigger!!!)

Ironically, Charles wanting to appear more respectful of the UK financial situation , so forbidding tiaras at the coronation, led to Catherine wearing a faux tiara that cost money to make (I read somewhere it cost $34,000, but not sure if that is correct). If she had worn a tiara from the vaults, it wouldn’t have cost anything more than probably a good cleaning and possible minor repairs. Voting for real tiaras in the future.
Diana did exactly the same thing with the press - calling them and then playacting that she was being hunted by them, playing the poor victim Princess. And she got away with that act when she was alive.
Harry truly has all the worst aspects of his mother, and his wife is no better.

Melania appears to have a very reserved personality. She is very serious and I know family who are like that and do not naturally appear "happy go-lucky" much of the time. It doesn’t mean that they are not content with what is happening. Many Americans don't have that quiet reserved persona. To project ones own personality onto someone elses isn't necessarily accurate.
I saw an interview of Melania where she stated that she encouraged Trump to run the first time and that she believed he has what it takes to fix the country.

I inherited one of those clunky "cocktail rings" from the 70's recently and took it to the jeweler to reset in a more modern way. It was many small diamonds. (Lucky me) They built an entire new ring, band and everything and it took about a month. I think it was just a way to keep people talking about her or to possibly back up that silly story that the Queen confiscated her rings at the National Theatre appearance. The Queen would respect the sanctity of marriage.
@@PS_testing321... the Queen would never have taken her engagement ring anyway..there's no royal stones in it. 2 diamonds from Diana's collection and a new big centre one that MM got Harry to add in the centre. Then she had it remade with all little diamonds around the edges and I think she changed the centre for an even bigger stone and used that one for her ridiculously huge pinky ring... just spent Harry's money as she wished!!

I have some lovely jewelry now, but I would never disrespect the first offering my husband made to me. I wear it proudly every day. He has given me some larger jewels, but that engagement ring will always be the we are, how we started, and forever show the true place that we came from and worked hard to be successful. It truly represents us and that we married for love, not for things. He once asked me if I wanted to "upgrade my diamond!" Not on your life. We might have a bigger house and more stuff, but that is who we really are in the end. I might wear the other big ring on my other hand, ut it is not getting that ring finger.

I would prefer James inheriting the dukedom. I understand the importance of the DoE title, but as few children as people have now, there is a good chance the title would revert to the crown within a generation or two after James.
