Those look like they are set up nice and simple. I love the sticker dots in 2 sizes. Those look handy.🤗 thanks for the video. 🌷
Great setup!Simple, functional & creative!Love the porter cover & set up!!! Great for ease at home or on the go!Thanks for sharing your current set up!Really like it!!!
Aww you are so sweet; it is indeed your year! I have just purchased my first Midori and I'm so excited for it. My hobonichi doesn't start until April so I'll be relying on the Midori until then lol
Thanks for taking the time to reply, Mits :) haha, my stuff is like yours - stored in various bins all over our apartment that's why a lot of times, it's easier to watch youtube vids of others like you being creative rather than working on my journals because of the hassle of digging out my stuff and having to put it all away again. That's a good idea regarding buying the notebooks with Tomoe river paper first, thanks! :) I used to live in Vancouver but I'm in Asia now and I miss beautiful Vancouver so much! Hopefully, Amazon will have the notebooks...btw, your son is so handsome! Love seeing him make appearances in your videos :)
😍 I looooove this. This is my setup for 2016 as well, except I'm in the techo not the avec. I love that the Hobonichi Weeks is working for you as a planner. I love it so much as my planner. Great video! 🤗
Thank you for sharing your setup! I love that you're keeping simple and fun need to remember to do this myself!
Love what you said about the new year, I feel the same way. I have a good feeling about 2016! This is our year!
+virgoandpaper yes totally! Let's win this year :)
That Porter cover! 😻
Great video as always!
I love your hobonichi weeks cover, it is so beautiful!
You're inspiring me to use my Fauxdori again on daily base like your hobonichi. I use my weeks write down my memories of the day, but sometimes I need more space and sometimes the small space is just enough. But your videos about using "empty Journal pages" are a great way for uneventful days.
Thank you so much for sharing your creativity with us. I love watching them and I always get new ideas and inspiration!
+Vera Theus Thank you SO much for watching and commenting :) It gives me energy to continue with the videos! I'm glad you find the videos useful xoxo
I LOVE your videos! I especially enjoyed your latest series--- you got me decoupaging everything down! haha. Nice to see your year's set up as well! Thanks for sharing!
Great video! I love seeing what planner people are using and I also just love watching your videos :) Each time I see the Midori Travellers Notebook Star Edition I fall more and more in love. Oh noo! ;) xx m
They're all beautiful notebooks!! your weekly journal section is so full, looks like you've been inputting everyday. Kudos! and you did a good job with the drawings, really ;)
+Wei Taillandier That means so much coming from you! thank you!
I love that you're using the weeks case that you initially didn't like! I think it's gorgeous! Youre so brave for not using a cover for your A6! If you're bothered by the bulk, maybe you can try the SSACK silicone cover? Love your videos!
It's a great suggestion, thank you! I have heard that it picks up a lot of dirt and dust and things though... It would probably bother me hehe
I am so addicted to your channel Mits! You are my favorite here on UA-cam. Your work is beautiful and your videos are informative and lovely. I am kind of new to MTN (as of January) and have not ventured into the Hobonichi world yet, but probably will. You can see some of my midori art journals at Carpe Dori on Instagram. Just a few pictures so far. Thanks for sharing so generously!

I love your set up-!!!!
love it-!!!!
Really beautiful your Jurnals!! :)
I'm hoping to get my very first Midori TN for my birthday. Your videos have been so inspiring! Maybe to add to your UA-cam video idea list, you can do a washi and sticker collection.
+justinneangeline Great suggestion! I need to clean up my crafting area first haha My son loves to play with my washi rolls so I find random rolls throughout the apartment haha
+MyLifeMits He is a journaler in the making! I love the look of Japanese washi tapes especially the wide ones. Wish we had some where I live.
You are awesome! This is our year!
+Kitka Kat Yes it is !! xoxo
Thanks for sharing Mits!! xoxo
I looooooove your beautiful Traveler's notebook, wow!! Those weekly spreads are so so beautiful!! Maybe this is your perfect journal? It sounds and looks as if you enjoy journaling on the weekly midori pages so very much! I totally get it - there is not too much space, but just enough for some bits and bobs you collected that week and for writing down some memories :) :) :). Thank you so much for sharing, I absolutely loved this video (and have already watched it twice haha ^__^)
+palestblue aww Maria!! thank you!
Hello :) I love your videos especially the mtn and hobonichi ones-very inspiring! You are totally enabling me to go out and get them despite my resisting them for awhile now :) I currently use a moleskine but I'm very much wanting to try the papers in mtn and hobo. I also enjoy your life in Japan vlogs very much and I do wonder about your perspectives about daily life especially being born and growing up in Canada then to now living in Japan. I'm also trying to set up an area for me to be creative in but our apartment is tiny so it's quite a challenge. Maybe a desk tour could be a possible youtube topic?? Thanks so much for sharing your time and creativity with us and I'm always looking forward to new vids from you :) have a great day!
+Kai399scrap Thank you so very much for watching and for commenting. I have had several requests to do a craft area tour, but it's such a huge mess >_< my craft items are hidden in diff spots so that my son doesn't get to them...haha
As for the papers - If you live in the states, I believe you can purchase notebooks that are made with tomoe river paper (the paper that's in the hobonichi). Perhaps try that out first to see if you like it :)) Good luck!
Wonderful video; you do such a great job, Mitts! I can't believe how costly the Porter Weeks is; there are some on eBay for $180 USD! I can see why you (and your husband) like it. The Weeks is perfect for scheduling, so I am thinking of switching covers to Porter so I can carry business cards, pens etc in one case. If anyone knows of a better purchase source in the US, please let us know :)
Thank you so much!
I have heard several people (in the FB groups) use a forwarding service called Tenso. Please don't quote me on this, but i believe the fee was $5 + shipping + cost of item.. perhaps you can look into those types of forwarding services and ask around the FB groups to see what others have used. Good luck!
I am thinking about getting one of those clear pockets specifically for my midori shitajiki (the pan am boarding pass one). You and John Rush are inspiring me to do so. I love your set up! I think next year I might try getting a hobonichi weeks. I have been using insert 019 (week on one page) and I bought another one for the next 6 months because everything in my life right now is fine in one insert. But I might change my mind. I really want to start filming stuff but I don't know how to film my desk from above with what I have right now..
+Kelly Henick I really like the clear pocket in the back. I find it very useful :) I started off filming just using some paper towel rolls as the 'legs' of the table, got a big cardboard and cut out a small hole big enough so that the camera portion of my iphone was able to film right above me..hehe i hope that makes sense. Good luck with filming! xoxo
Gorgeous!
love the Porter cover but sad they don't sell to U S. Maybe someday. Love your sharing.
+Pamala Hanson I have heard many people use a forwarding service with success. One company that people mention a lot in the FB group is Tenso. Are you part of the FB group? You can search there to get others' experiences with the forwarding service :) Good luck!
what are your journal plans for 2018?
ermagerddddddd what do you think about that pouch in your midori????
im using the clear plastic midori one at the moment... maybe i should buy the one you have though???? or use both even???? i use my plastic one to store money and bank cards n stuff. what would you recommend?
:OOOOOOOOOOOOO
I love it ! I would feel more comfortable storing bills and coins in it.. If you want to, it doesn't hurt to have both in your midori haha the clear one would be helpful for your credit cards etc as you can see .. You can simply pull out the card that you need to use :)
thanks for the input
