Lyrics: Didn't I do it baby, Didn't I blow you mind this time now tell me Didn't I, didn't I Didn't I tell you so Ain't you glad you didn't listen, To friends who know, Now tell me Didn't I, didn't I Didn't I light up the fire, hoo When you thought, mmm, would never burn, ha Now that you feel the heat And you're burnin' from head to feet C'mon, it's my turn to burn Blow it, baby [Saxophone solo] Now that you feel the heat And you're burnin' from head to feet C'mon, it's my turn to burn Didn't I tell you so Didn't I keep you coming back for more Now tell me, didn't I Oh, didn't I Didn't I do it baby, Didn't I blow you mind this time now tell me! Didn't I, didn't I Didn't I tell you so Didn't I keep you coming back for more Now tell me, didn't I Oh, didn't I At last you know, I'm not margarine But I am a high-priced spread Oh baby, didn't I tell you so Didn't I keep you coming back for more Didn't I, didn't I Didn't I make it good Ain't a gonna keep you knockin' wood
She has such a warm voice. Makes me smile. And then I cry while smiling. Tears are dripping to the floor, I start screaming.
"I'm not margarine, but I am a high priced spread"... Song got me weak in the knees!
O.k. who is sensual and sexy these days anymore without being filthy?
I just started listening to her best-of on iTunes and that line sticks out. It's goofy and sexy at the same time.

This woman was so great...
Her sensuality just oozed out of her voice into her songs...

HONORED TO BE THE FIRST TO COMMENT ON THIS PAGE...SYLVIA YOU ARE MISSED...
SHE WAS/IS TRULY THE MOST UNDERRATED WOMAN IN HIP-HOP/MUSIC HISTORY...
She ran many labels including Sugarhill. The first label to bring hip hop to the masses. She also wrote & produced many songs.
She should have been much mor praised, her voice was one of a kind in this planet we live people
She was truly other worldly....a beautifu,l blossoming, fragrant flower

She was a pretty woman
THE QUEEN OF SEXY SOUL!!!!!!!!!
Sometimes I wonder did she tribute this song to Harry Ray of Ray Goodman and Brown. There always have been a chemistry between these two. LOL

Didn't I blow you mind this time now tell me
Didn't I, didn't I
Didn't I tell you so

Blow it, baby
[Saxophone solo]
Now that you feel the heat
And you're burnin' from head to feet
C'mon, it's my turn to burn
Didn't I tell you so
Didn't I keep you coming back for more
Now tell me, didn't I

Oh baby, didn't I tell you so
Didn't I keep you coming back for more
Didn't I, didn't I
Didn't I make it good
Ain't a gonna keep you knockin' wood
Great
the play between harmony/melody (guitars/keys) in this is great. singing is second to that, would enjoy a instrumental better.
