Going through a hard break up rn... have always been a huge Andy fan so when I listened to how relatable the lyrics are... it really got me

I used to listen to Andy a lot while going to university in Thunder Bay several years back. His music reminds me of the brisk fall mornings when I walked to school. Thanks for bringing back nice memories!

Andy cites Randy Newman and Elliott Smith as his biggest influences.
..I can clearly see how he's taken the same approach to his songs after studying those two, but then still adds a unique flavor that is also certifiably original and one can hear his stuff playing somewhere and be able to immediately identify him. It's many artists lifelong ambition to create something universally relatable in it's simplicity, yet having some kind of signature Hallmark, something new to the form that they can leave as their contribution
...Its all about figuring out how you achieve your particular state of flow, then reverse engineering that process until you can jump in and out of that fickle zone at will, not unlike lucid dreaming is for people who astral project and do magick....and the vibes I get from Andy's latest album is that he has achieved that level of mastery of his craft.
