      F for safety and a big F for not lowering his pressure on the tires you can see his fronts bouncing and yeah after the rollover him trusting his life to the winch rope wow just wow and then the rig flops and is in neutral and rolls away failure!!

    Well built cage. That's what its for. Having fun. But you look a little heavy in the rear. Everything looks strapped in really good. I will not attempt this in my TJ.

    I’m looking to get into this type of off roading. I only have experience with logging trails, mud, dirt, etc. very little purely rock crawling. I’ve seen lots of videos of jeeps and other rigs completing this obstacle. Can someone specifically tell me what went wrong? Improper line? Throttle control? It looks like the vehicle has the proper equipment. From my extremely novice prospective maybe over inflated tires? Just trying to learn.

    • @allanwagner4570
      @allanwagner4570 2 роки тому +1

      Well
      In my opinion he just did not have the patience to find the correct line
      If that doesn’t work every once in a while you have to admit defeat
      This guy just couldn’t admit that as well as being to heavy on the throttle

      @@1969darr so you post your comment to a comment but it is not only unrelated to that comment but it is factually incorrect. Do you really think that warming up the tires would not help them gain traction on slick rock? Do you really think there's that much difference between concrete and that rock?

      @@risiusexploits5447 I've seen many a rig do exactly what you did with the same results. And, like you, I thought they had it made, but turned slightly left toward the top right where it lost traction. Back down it goes, flopping over. Keeping the rig pointed straight up will result in coming straight back down if it loses traction with a much better chance of keeping it upright. The longer wheelbase is your friend on this obstacle, too.

    I knew people who were going down to MOAB and I was going to go, but found out it is not dog friendly. So a dog turd will destroy the environment and make it into a wasteland, but rubber being burned on to rocks and when people do flip and spill out all the fluids, or hit a rock or something and just make an oil trail, that’s all perfectly fine for the environment. Lol makes no sense, at least to me.

  • @rjlougee34
    @rjlougee34 2 роки тому +1

    Wow, there are some truly STUPID responses to this video. As far as the attempt to climb, the only real issue is exceeding the traction threshold of his tires. Simply put, the rig is TOO HEAVY to climb that angle, with those tires. I'll not get into some of the later issues with winching... This specific piece of terrain is very steep and when you exceed the traction threshold, the rig will take the path of least resistance, and that means falling/diving towards the drivers side as you climb. The best line is to hug the right side, as tight as you can, without climbing the "lip".
    To this comment: "I always went down the steep side and came out the other side when I was learning, Less expensive that way." Bullshit! Show me the video. Anyone who actually goes in there, takes video... You're more likely to roll ass over teakettle from that direction...
    To this comment: "Too bad about your bronco! The new ones like yours look really sick!" It's not a Bronco...
    To this comment: "Spend tens of thousands customizing a rig like that, when a stock SxS would walk right out of there... Go figure?" Want to bet? I would really like to be there to watch your attempt. I'll be in Moab the first week of May, 2022, and I'll even bring my winch...
    To this comment: "you spin the tyres till they are hot and rubber coat the rock, then instead of crawling it with super sticky, you back out?" Yes, because it's a very steep climb and a little momentum helps you get over the hump. If you just gas it from the "tyre warming position" you fail, every time...
    To this comment: "Ha. spent $100 g. Can't go where stock vintage Jeeps play" I say the same as the SxS post, show me. I'll be there, actually doing it.
    I have done this climb many times,here's an example: ua-cam.com/video/Be18CBAxB0Q/v-deo.html
