A shame what has happened to Jackson Michigan, my boyhood town....I go back once a year only to visit the graves of my family members...I don't even recognize many parts of the city any longer...It was a great place to grow up in the 60's and 70's - I left in 1976 for college, never moved back (thank god) I was thinking of retiring there in a few years but gave up that dream a decade or so ago. I know folks have SAID this but honestly, when I was young, my family would go away for a week each summer on vacation, and we seriously didn't even have working locks on the house doors...it was just that safe.

“I’ve been here my whole life……” That’s actually the problem. EVERY part of Jackson, Michigan is 100% trash can and unfortunately, you wouldn’t see that because you don’t know any better.

Definitely could’ve chosen some better areas to drive in but I am not gonna shame you because you don’t know the area. Downtown is like a miniature Ann Arbor once they re did it (you’ve just gotta watch out for a lot of twacked out people/walking around certain areas at night) but we don’t have gang like activity like Detroit and Ypsi get

People!! If you come up to a blinking red light you have to stop! Notice how the driver blew through the red light at beginning on West Avenue. Even a blinking red light turning left you still have to stop. For some reason people think if through traffic has a green and your traveling the same way and your turning left with a blinking red light they think you don't have to stop, but you do so please be safe and stop before you turn.🚓🚓🚓🚔👮♀️👮♂️

This is a horrible depiction of Jackson. You can tell that this videographer doesn't know a thing about this town. Down town is booming with new construction, plus there are dozens of murals. You picked some of the worst neighborhoods to drive through. Two thumbs down.

I am here temporary. Air quality sucks! People speed without consciousness... Allot of road kill which if it's hot enough stinks up the little air quality you do have. Pot hole nearly every where you drive. Michigan used to be Republican and the state seems to be stealing money from tax prayers
