Yes I think they've been pretty open with that - I like that there's a lot of games openly borrowing from that formula now tbh. The Z-Levls are nice and dwarf-fortress-y, though I imagine that Early Access will be a lot of balancing we'll see as well as systems added like livestock. Just pre-empting a lot of the criticism without overly-highlighting it, as well as expressing my genuine amazement at how much potential it has!
Well it works exactly like this in Rimworld too. And in all actuality, in medieval times, this is exactly how it would work. You are building on the King's land. Straight to dungeons, right away. Makes more sense than Rimworld's.

@@scottedwards3403 I believe trebuchet were only sort of accurate, used moreso to destroy the various buildings within the walls of a castle- or the walls themselves. Ballistae were more accurate, being giant crossbows. But who knows, we don't know shit about our ancient counterparts- just interpretations of the bits and pieces that have survived over the centuries.

I was a bit sad of its current state, but there is so much potential, so I really do hope that it gets more deep in the long run, including when we start getting mods.
trebuchets were basically the equivalent of modern artillery. humans didnt screw around when they were hurling boulders at each other. the Warwolf trebuchet hoiked a 300 pound boulder and that could bring down entire sections of walls like a meteor
@@Brunghis The trebuchet basically just hurls giant stones and fucks everything in the general direction it is facing towards, but it certainly wasn't known for its pinpoint accuracy to repeatedly shoot and hit soldiers behind the walls like some calibrated modern artillery piece.

I found that going mostly Archer is useful against a siege. Go all in and afther 1 shot retreat to you build up Fort or tower. Have 2 or 3 door for them to break trough. With access for your archers to fire on them.

I like the energy of this episode much more. It feels like you're fumbling around, figuring stuff out after you say it, which I can relate to very well.
this game is really good, i got a key for it too, and it's got a lot of promise and potential to it, although there are a few odd things to note, such as being able to get a hail storm in the middle of summer and have a camp fire inside a building be colder than the outside hailstorm.
Edric is like Henry David Thoreau if he was also a cannibal and also brought some friends over and also got really carried away with the cabin building.

Well it works exactly like this in Rimworld too. And in all actuality, in medieval times, this is exactly how it would work. You are building on the King's land. Straight to dungeons, right away.
Makes more sense than Rimworld's.

As a carpenter, I can tell you building wooden walls is actually fairly quick and easy.

also when ever you produce something inside a building, it always spawns outside, which is really annoying.
