Its not set up right its popping an very spattery. The arks to fierce looks like your having abit of difficulty controling the weld pool. Try turning down the wire feed speed just abit. Nice video though mate you done good. 👍

hi Andreas , Thank you for your review. What replacement roll of wire can i find once these run out? Is the spool a standard size or do i have to wait until Lidl sells them again?

      Hi
They released it today April 8
But with 30 euro more than last year... it was 99 and now 129.
      This made me really 😡

Standard wire and it will take 0.5 and 1kg spools. Its a really good welder

Thanks TechGuru Andrew for the demonstration. Would of been nice if you had a clamp-on ammeter indicating the amps drawn in different settings. I have a 220V, 15A in my garage, should I buy this?

Should be fine. 120A 20V is max. So 2400W in the worst case. Minimum is 25A at 15.25v so roughly 380W.

Great video did you say you never welded before? The welding is a bit blobby but you’ll get there

I just fire mine up 2mm round bar to plate. At 2mm settings not there yet, sticking (I know they're only guides) . A small touch more blows holes in the bar though so I know that's too high, so I'm going to have to get some off cuts & get fine tuned setting. Or just get some plain old square bar.

Can I use "PARKSIDE® cored wire »PSFD B1«" with this device?

As long as your tip size matches the wire size and the roller also matches the wire size you can use flux core wire from any manufacturer I've found.

@@aleksandarsrdanov1171 dont forget that smaller diameter wires reduce your amperage slightly so can be better on thinner materials, im not a pro just a hobby welder this is just what i have found out through practice, my oldest welder uses net curtain wire cut to length as a liner works better than the nylon liner supplied with many welders hope it helps good luck with your welding !

      Thanks for the tips.
Frankly, I am yet to become a hobby welder :-) I have never welded in my life. I think I will have to make few welds during my flat renovation - that is why I bought the Parkside welder. I am a structural engineer. I have designed quite a few welded connections so I am confident I will pick up the tricks of the trade quickly. In the beginning I think I will just go with the recommendations given in User Manual with regards to material thickness and wire diameter. Once I get the hang of the basics I guess I will start experimenting with the out of the norm stuff.

@@aleksandarsrdanov1171 don't forget to liberally use anti - spatter spray it's worth the investment, I found that each numeral on my parkside is equivalent to 1mm steel, also use a self darkening mask save your eyes the supplied one is only good to give to children to look at solar eclipse!
