The day scammers pick up on contemporary English, we'll all be doomed. Joke aside, I think they're doing this to sort out people who are not gullible enough to fall for their very obvious stories early.
Countries that were colonised by Britain (such as India and Nigeria) apparently retained a lot of old-fashioned vocabulary that was popular in the colonial era, such as "kindly"
It’s a dead giveaway when they use the word ‘kindly’ at the beginning of a sentence. Also, I’ve noticed that they often don’t use the ‘I’ when saying something like ‘I am honest’ or ‘I am a real person’. They will omit the ‘I’ and just say ‘Am honest’ or ‘Am a real person’.
"kindly", a signal phrase to mean "If you know this is a scam, please delete without replying so as to not waste my time. Thank you for your cooperation."
For people who are into online dating and romance chatrooms, that is an excellent way to identify the potential dating partner as a Nigerian scammer who is trying to pull off a catfish and pig butchering scam.

why does the bank punish you for trying to cash a fake check by accident? they should just say its fake and dont give any money away, or take the money back automatically.
I've often felt this. Banks need to be MUCH quicker at finding out if a check is fake. That would mean not giving back instant cash, and the bank putting a priority in contacting the issuing bank to verify the money is there. But apparently, the US regulatory agencies won't make US banks actually do stuff like that.
@@dave30076 I’ve heard that banks are reluctant to slow down check cashing since they’re worried that their customers will be unhappy and possibly switch to a different bank. So instead they keep it fast and put the risk on customers. As long as customers put up with this, nothing will change.
Play along with one of those scams where they send you an email saying, you're new iphone is out for delivery or something. The scammers want you to call saying "I DIDNT ORDER THIS SOMEONE STOLE MY CARD", then the scammers will try to say "Did you buy this iphone? I can help you get your money back from your stolen card". But I want to see someone reply with, "Yes I did buy the Iphone, it's okay that someone stole my card, I have plenty of money, they can keep the iphone"
A friend of mine did something similar to that last year with an "Amazon scammer". "Amazon" left a voice mail on his phone all, "We're just confirming your purchase of this item for 599 dollars", and when he called the number, he was all "Yep, I did...". He told me the scammer on the other end seemed audibly confused and was all ".....Um.....are you......sure you purchased that? Double check and make sure, you never know...", my friend just went "Yep, I'm sure...". Dead silence for about 10 seconds, then the scammer just went ".....Oh.....um.....well ok then....bye..."
If scammers had more empathy they’d pull off more scams. The problem for the scammer is that they probably would then want to move to another line of work. 😂
