Thanks! I'm very close to being done with the challenge, it's taken a lot longer than I thought but it has been a great way to build a regular practice and learn a lot about landscapes :)
I saw your TikTok and immediately followed you on Instagram because I knew this is going to be so good! So far it’s so impressive and I can’t wait for you to get to my country!
The lighting and production value of this video is really nice! And I love your logo with the purple watercolor! If I had one suggestion it would be perhaps to provide a bit of context to your paintings. At the time when you decide what to paint, perhaps look up a little information of the place so you can give a little snapshot of info while presenting it. For example, the moment I saw the temple on the hill in Bhutan I was awestruck and thought “oh my gosh! What is that? Why is it on a hill? Where in Bhutan is that? How cool!” So I think it could be really fun and engaging when you present the painting to say “This is Bhutan. What caught my eye about this particular place is [the colors, the fact that it’s on a mountain, etc.]. So I did some digging and I found out this is actually Tiger’s Nest Monastery located on the Takstang Trail in NW Bhutan. It’s was built in 1692 and is considered to be one of the holiest for the Bhutanese people. Fun little fact there are apparently no proper roads that lead to it. So that means if you want to visit, you need to trek for hours to reach the temple. Talk about a workout!” Doing this I think would also help people appreciate your painting more as it is on the screen for longer. That’s just a little thought I had, but super nit picky. I really loved this video and can’t wait to see more! ❤️❤️❤️
hey i was just wondering ! - you mentioned that you use pen instead of pencil for your outlines - what do you do to make sure the pen won’t bleed once it gets wet from the paint?? i love your art so much it’s inspired me to start!
I use a grey De Atrementis document ink in my fountain pen which is waterproof! Noodlers bulletproof ink is another good one (I use that for my black ink). If you don’t use fountain pens I would suggest the Sakura Pigma Microns, they’re all waterproof and come in a big range of sizes! 🖊
What a cool concept. Great practice and the sketchbooks look beautiful.
